[Kyla: LoD: Throne room]

Leon was sent falling over, nearly on top of them- but the good thing was he had successfully negated it's perfect aim, and so the three of them were not cleaved into sushi.

"Thank you Leon- Kichi."

But after witnessing the results of everyone's efforts thus far, Kyla could only conclude as she sat up,...they were in trouble if they did not figure things out- fast!

She saw Maggie duck beneath the attack- and land a round house kick to it's body. Whoa- Since when did she- wow!
There was hardly any damage, but it revealed something to her.

"...just hitting the body isn't enough." Kyla watched Kurt Zisa, the wheels behind her brown eyes turning. She thought back to what she knew about kingdom hearts and boss fights. sometimes fighting wasn't always straight forward. Sometimes there was - "A system."

" It's a system, the trick is the weak spot, there has to be a move it makes that exposes it's weak point. By the way it's doing that move now- it looks like it's defending the orbs. If we can somehow get to those things- and destroy them- you think something may happen?" she asked them.

But what can stop that spinning attack? Something that doesn't require magic. something offensive and long ranged.

"Hey! Can anyone shoot at it's leggs- maybe trip it?! Force it to use it's arms again." Kyla called out.

A shot in the dark yes- but at this point anything was worth a try. Kyla felt so vunerable without her powers, she never realized how much she was starting to rely on her pictomancy until now. It was an exposed, weak, vunerable feeling.
You could almost say she was scared- but she'd never admit it.

{Leon : Land of Dragons : Throne Room}

Leon kept his head as he was knocked back, angling his sword in such a manner that Kyla and Jon were protected from the swing; however, the blow did make him lose his footing. He reacted quickly, rolling to absorb the force and coming up ready to attack. It wasn't the first time he'd been knocked off his feet, and it wouldn't be the last.

Knowing how to fall was just as important as knowing how to attack.

He was about ready to charge, but stopped himself upon hearing Kyla speak. He looked at the defensive posture of the creature- it was protecting the orbs. He turned toward the girl with a different look in his eyes. Was that respect? Approval? It was hard to tell coming from him. Whatever the case, he took his gunblade and aimed it at the Heartless, unleashing the 'gun' of the gunblade as he shot at its' legs. The bullets wouldn't be magical, but perhaps they'd have some effect.

[HT ~ Labyrinth of Nightmares]

Noelle continued on through the labyrinth, arms outstreatched and hands sore from bumping into glass and getting shocked by wires. She was feeling ready to give up when she found something. Around the corner was a dead end but standing before a tall wall of glass was what looked to be a slot machine. The agromancer approached it cautiously. Was this here by accident or was it one of Oogies little games? Stepping up to it, Noelle examined it. After much internal debate she timidly touched the handle and pulled down on it. The machine came to life and the the wheels spun images of bugs and spiders in front of her. They came to a stop and nothing matched up. Curious, she pulled the handle again and the next time she got two matching black spiders.

A screen popped out of the side of the slot machine and the girl looked at it. A layout of the labyrinth was projected onto it with the words switch places printed accross the top. A bright red dot shown on the screen among many other blue ones. The red dot was her location and the blue ones were where everyone else was. If she touched one of the dots, she would switch places with that person. All the little blue dots moved around, bouncing off of walls, returning the way they came after finding a dead end. Noelle wrinkled her brows together and tapped her lip. She didn't want to put someone who was ahead back in her spot, but she didn't want to send herself back either. Looking for a dot that was relatively the same distance from the start as she was, she pressed it. The dot began glowing red as well and the glass wall behind the slot machine slid down.

Confused, Noelle stepped behind the slot machine, past the glass wall, and into another passageway. The glass wall slid back up behind her and the blonde froze. Suddenly, the panel beneath her feet opened up and she was dropped down into a little box. She screamed as she fell down and the little box hummed to life, moving sideways to switch her place with the other dot she'd pressed. Who that dot was she had no clue. The person she'd ended up switching herself with was Kyle. A panel beneath him would drop as well, making him fall into a little box of his own that would move and put him back up on the path Noelle had been following. Little did all the earthlings know they were playing the Oogie Game.

[The Oogie Game]

There are slot machines placed at random intervals throughout the labyrinth. If the machine is played and a match is made the slot machine will pop out a screen to show you what move you will play. See the HA questions and suggestions thread to see who will be playing the Oogie Game next.

((Sorry if any of this is confusing, I'll be happy to answer anyone's questions. I just wanted to make this a little more fun. ^^))

((GO, DICE ROLL!! ... NUMBER ROLL!! ... WHATEVER!!!

EDIT: 1, huh? Just to be safe and so I can get the idea first, I'm gonna switch Nanaki and Bobbi if that's okay. n_n; ))

ʆabyrinth of Ƞightmares

Nanaki was surprised as he came across the slot-machine in the middle of the hallway. He was unfamiliar with such devices, however it looked simple enough. He stood on his hind legs and pulled the lever on the side, and watched as the images in the center spun, eventually coming to a rest one by one. The first slot ended on a large Black Widow spider, the second and third matched with a stink beetle. Instinctively, Nanaki's ears flattened and his hackles raised as the panel slid out, showing the map of the maze and various blue dots. It was obvious to him that the red dot was his location, and he was surprised at how far along he had gotten. He could have sworn he had doubled back so many times he couldn't have made much progress. He was about in the middle of where everyone else was. There were others before and behind him.

Though the instructions on the screen seemed straight-forward, he was uncomfortable with the finer manipulations of the device. It seemed it was not designed for paws such as his own. He carefully scanned the screen and the maze, and on a whim, attempted to touch one of the blue dots with his paw. However, due to the fact that the screen was designed more for human hands or other appendages that allowed for finer manipulation of the digits, he accidentally hit one of the dots ahead of him first.

"Drat," he muttered as the panel slid out. "I wonder if there is a way to undo that selection? Well, apparently not. I apologize to whomever it was I switched with."

Nanaki walked behind the machine and found himself falling into a small box. He felt the movement as the box switched him places with the other person. He held out hope that he could apologize first, but knew that hope was futile.

Bobbi shrieked as the floor dropped out from beneath her and she found herself in a small box.

"GOD DAMMIT! That's enough making me fall for one day, thanks!" she screamed, sitting on the floor until her legs stopped shaking. At least it wasn't as long of a fall as the sludge slide.

After about a minute or so she felt alright enough to stand, and found herself in a hallway just like all the others she'd been down. Except that this one didn't have three mirrors in front of her like the other path had.

"Lovely," she muttered, instinctively putting a hand out to the glass wall beside her as she moved on, her legs still quaking from the two falls. She would be horrid for climbing anything for the next three days or so, not that she wasn't already...

Nanaki stared incredulously at the three mirrors in front of him. It seemed he had reached a dead-end this way as well, and would have to double-back. With a sigh, he turned around and began the long walk back down this newest corridor.

ʆand of Ɗragons

The Road to Dawn bounced right off of the armor-coated arm, and rattled Riku to the teeth. He leapt back for a minute, watching the creature for an opening. He thought he heard Kyla shouting, but it was hard to hear anything past the ringing in his ears. Leon's gunshot, however, was very clearly audible. Riku bit his lip, hoping the bullet made impact, and dearly wishing it would do some sort of damage or something.

Demyx watched all of the others doing all of the fighting, and wondered if there was any way he could help. Sadly, all of his combat focused on his water magic and occasionally smacking things upside the head with his Sitar. It wouldn't do much good against this monster. Maybe he'd be better off as a cheerleader...

"Yeah! Whoo!! GO TEAM!!!" he called, staying as far away from Kurt Zisa as possible.

[Mulan & Mushu : LoD : Throne Room]

Mushu's jaw dropped as this new Heartless started swinging his weapons around. He scrambled around for a bit, but clung to Mulan's body as she dove out of the way of the attack.

"Oh, no, that is NOT in my job description!" he said, breaking off from the female warrior, and running towards the nearest cover he could find, a vase in a corner, conveniently placed for small dragons to hide behind.

"Mushu!" Mulan protested.

"Come on, Mulan! Kick his butt; use that female power!" He was already 'safely' behind the vase.

Mulan looked back to the giant Heartless, unsure if her melee would do any good. He could swipe at her with those arms of his at any moment! They needed long range right now... she looked around the room, spotting a decorative fireworks display placed on the wall. If it wasn't a dud, she (or anyone) could shoot at its' legs with that! It was against the opposite wall, though, a ways away from her. It was much closer to Kyle.

((Roll~...WHAT? BACKWARDS?!))

[HT: Labyrinth of Nightmares]

"Well, that's...fairly interesting."

There was a giant slot machine...in the way...crap. "I have to pull it, don't I?"

Pulling the lever, the male flinched and covered his face, not knowing what was going to happen. Of course, when he got put in a box and shifted positions, he started to feel a bit nervous. Where the hell was he going? And would it be painful...?

Of course, when he came out of the box, Joe looked around. Still in the maze, still wires and glass and...wait.

Is that a faceprint in the glass...THAT'S MY FACE!!!

[Kyle ; Sora : Labyrinth of Nightmares]

Kyle had been getting more and more frustrated with the labyrinth, muttering a curse every now and then. He'd run into the glass too many times to count, and he'd been zapped at least half a dozen times. It was ridiculous. By this point, he had his swallow-spear out and he was practically stomping forward- right into another set of electrical wires.

.:Now, Kyle, take a breath-:.

"IN THE NAME OF GOD I SMITE THEE!" he shouted, swinging his spear forward, releasing a powerful wave of Holy energy, shredding the wires...

... just as he fell into a box, which launched him into a separate direction all together. As he was brought up in a different location all together, he blinked; he then blinked again, and a third time after that.

"Note to self. Try not to smite anything else unless you want to go for a ride," he muttered, scratching his head and moving forward again... and getting shocked by another set of wires to the side.

---

Sora had been relatively lucky in his choice of path. There had only been a few wire shocks, and maybe one or two glass-walls in his way. He felt as if he'd moved relatively far into the maze; of course, it seemed to go on forever, so who knows? Maybe he'd gone in a circle. His sense of direction wasn't exactly above par.

"I wonder how everyone else is doing," he muttered, keeping his Keyblade at the ready and lazily walking down the path.

[John.:Land of Dragons:.Throne Room]

John that Zisa reeled up another attack and also realized that simply 'shooting the legs' would not stop the giant beast of a heartless. For one, the thing barely flinched when he smashed the orb, and even if they did trip it, the orbs would be covered by the back armor.

So, John did the only sensible thing to do in a time like this as his had no range attacks and running wasn't an option.

"Take this #$^*@!" John screamed as he flung his war hammer at the swirling blades of death coming toward him in a discus style swing.

The effect for what he wanted was to have the same effect as throwing a metal rod into a fan. It would stop the thing but it might slow it down to let another try and get a shot at the orbs... of course the only difference in the situations was that the 'fan' was giant spinning blades of death and the 'metal rod' was his conveniently indestructible war hammer.

{ Kurt Zisa ~ The Fury of the Desert }

Leon's bullet ricocheted completely off of the leg, doing no damage whatsoever- the legs were just as heavily armored as every other part of its body, making any such attempt futile. This creature was certainly a tank of a Heartless, and if there was any way to defeat it, it would have to be the obvious weak points...

John's hammer was knocked away with ease by the swirling blades, though they seemed to come to a stop shortly thereafter. The beast's eyes scanned the room, hollow and sinister, before deciding on the next course of action.

With the orbs in its two lower arms being held out to the side, he lifted his massive blades into the air and brought them directly down as guillotines- one directly above John and the other directly above Riku. They'd probably be easy enough to dodge, but the moment the blades made contact with the ground, there would be a powerful, earth-rattling tremor that shook the very foundation of the palace.

[Kuja : HT/BC : Outside Train]

A small 'hmph' was all that could be heard... and it came from high above them. If they looked, they'd see the Genome hovering weightlessly over a hundred feet above them, his arms outstretched to the heavens. The spheres of light were spinning wildly around him as he cast his spell-

Thrusting both his hands downward, a small burst of flame appeared in front of him; it seemed harmless as it traveled the first few yards before suddenly exploding into a massive wave of hellfire. The Ardor spell was easily able to cover the entire battlefield, singing trees and the train alike.

[Cory .:. HT/BC .:. Outside Train]

Cory sighed after a few moments of waiting he hearing the voice above. He looked up and could immediately feel the temperature around him begin to rise. There was no thought, only pure reflexive instinct as he burst into the sky and away from the blaze below him. "Tch, as if I'd get caught in such a warm attack! I could feel the fire kicking in before there was even a spark!" The renegade ronin burst at Kuja, the blade suddenly roaring loudly as he burst all around the flare mage.

No normal burst movement, either. It was the beginning of Cataclysm... However...

Cory suddenly crashed into the ground at the speed of a burst, the impact blowing away the fire in his immediate area as he rolled to a stop. Wh... what?... He could only clutch he chest as he felt something swelling up inside his lungs shortly before coughing up more of the black ooze from before. He sat up on the ground, the Indomitable Will spreading around him in an attempt to cool him off from the fire all about him. "Is this really because I recently came back to life?... Or...?"

[Alice :: Underworld]

Alice pulled at her collar, as if tugging at it would make the temperature drop... if only just a few degrees. The animator frowned as she walked through the Underworld, cursing at Cory under her breath every step of the way. Why was she even here? She didn't have to listen to him. She knew she could kill him with a flick of her finger. And yet-

"Good god! It's sweltering in here!" Alice groaned, tossing her head up in exasperation. If she had to wander through the oven any longer, she was going to portal away and just lie to the stupid boy. How hard was it to find a flaming head anyways? She should be trying to figure out how to preserve her own existence rather than dealing shady business with the God of the Underworld... the God of the Underworld of all people! Even Alice knew her limitations.

"Hades. I know you're here."

[Hades : Underworld]

"Can't hide anything from your kind, can I, toots?"

A geyser of black and blue flame appeared behind Alice from the stony pathway she'd walked, and from it, the God of the Underworld himself appeared as casually as ever. He was leaning his back against a stone wall, and in his hands he held what appeared to be a papyrus newspaper, which he quickly folded down so he could look over it at the short being that was Alice.

"What brings you here, chicka?" he asked, sounding bored and disinterested. "You're with the wannabe anti-hero, so I assume he's sent you here for something."

[Amy ; Cloud ; Leon ; Maggie ; Beatrix : LoD : Throne Room]

Leon made no comment to Kyla's suggestion not working. Apparently, the creature's armor was impenetrable, and tripping it was out of the question. He watched as the swirling blades slowed to a stop, and simply re-adjusted his aim and shot at an orb.

"We won't be able to pierce the armor," he shouted, "Aim for the orbs!

Amy had dived out of the way of the first attack, but unlike the more seasoned members of the group, her landing was hardly controlled. It was more like falling really, with a 'umph' and everything. It hurt, dang it!

It was in Amy's nature to say 'ouch' to every little thing. Slip and fall on ice? Ouch. Accidentally bump against a wall? Ouch. Drop your car keys? Ouch. It didn't really matter if there was any physical pain. Jumping out of the way of a huge Heartless swinging its swords at you? That warranted an ouch. An indignant, 'how-dare-I-be forced-to-move-so-suddenly-without-any-preparation-beforehand-or-knowledge-any-huge-Heartless-was-gonna-appear-outta-nowhere,' ouch.

She rolled over, stood up awkwardly, and proceeded to ignore all advice of where the heck to shoot and just do her own thing. She shot multiple times; her two guns, combined with her attack speed, were made for such a thing. She shots legs, it's arms, it's, uh, face, and the orbs, keeping an eye out for what got the most reaction from the creature.

Maggie jumped back when she realized her kick had hardly done any damage, narrowly missing being hit by one of Kurt Zisa's arms. She was about to go back in when the blades began spinning wildly, protecting the orbs from any attacks, and so instead bid her time moving around the creature, waiti- holy hell they're shooting at me!

"EXCUSE ME, I'M RIGHT HERE!" she shouted, running out of the crossfire, and sending an angry glare the shooter's way.

Beatrix stayed back near Kyla. She wasn't sure, but if magic was gone, then the girl couldn't attack or defend herself. She would need help. Although, Beatrix admitted, casting a glance at the nearby Leon and Riku, it seemed she had plenty of that. Her eyes widened as she saw the blade descending on Riku, and she shouted out a warning.

Cloud, in the meantime, was also in the 'crossfire' but seemed unaffected by it. His main problem was being a bit too close while the creature defended itself, the blades swirling around quickly to deflect all attacks. Cloud was forced back while that was happening, but the moment the blades slowed, he was there, aiming a powerful downward chop right at one of the exposed orbs. It was an attempt to sneak in a hit while Kurt Zisa was busy attacking Riku and John.

[Kyla: LoD: Throne Room]

Leon wouldn't need to mention her plans failure, she grit her teeth in frustration, 'freakin armour.' This wasn't going to be easy.

" Guess going for the Orbs directly is the only way to get at them- the whole body is made to protect them."

She practically hung her head as she said this, without her powers there was nothing she could do wad watch, and try not to get in the way. Even her plans were faulty.

Not to mention the mental groan when Leon nearly shot Maggie's head off.

Not that she'd be hit, Leon had deadly aim(Kyla had the upmost confidence in it)... but it was frightening for Maggie in any case, and distracting her was dangerous.

"Maggie! Careful! Sorry!!"

The impact from Kurt Zisa's attack sent Kyla nearly falling over- her leg shook and she held her arms out trying to keep her balance. She fell over maybe a once but quickly recovered, pushing herself up with her hands.

With Kichi, Leon and now Beatrix flanking her, the useless pictomancer knew she wouldn't be in any danger for now, but it was so frustrating, there was SO much she could think of right now to do to it- and aid her friends- but she couldn't do anything! Nothing!

[Axel: LoD: Throne Room]

So much for '4-Eyes's' master plan- guess they had to do things the ol' fashioned way!

With the creature currently focused on crushing Riku and John, Axel joined Cloud in taking the initiative and leaped from over it's shoulder, taking a dive bomb swing at it's orbs. Even with his magic gone, thankfully his nobody body could still pull off it's freakishly useful acrobatics!

He lunged for those shiny precious things it held in it's massive armoured hands, intent on shattering them to a million little pieces.

Though he chanced a danger of being exposed, since they were so close, if he tried to grab him now it would have a clear shot.

.. he was hoping it was too stupid to care.
