"Instant Death" can only be attained by a crippling/heavy blow to the Brain or Brain Stem (numbers 2 and 8 respectively). This is also known as the "HeadShot." Note that skull damage does NOT qualify as a "HeadShot," but can disorient, knock over, and distract the zombie. Only the DESTRUCTION of the Brain and/or BrainStem results in Instant Death.

"Crippling" effects, also known as disabling, can be caused to the undead via damage to Pelvis or Femur (numbers 5 and 7 respectively), resulting in the target being unable to walk properly, oftentimes falling face-first to the ground. Crippling shots do NOT kill; the undead can still crawl, at a MUCH slower pace, then running, walking, shuffling, ect. "Crippled" zombies are also known as Ankle Biters.

"Physical Trauma" damage can disable the undead, via shock to the body and brain. Multiple body shots (lungs, heart, liver, ect) and heavy damage to the bone structure can eventually whittle down the physical structure, resulting in collapse. Spinal collapse can cause motor functionality failure (i.e. non-working limbs), whereas a broken arm can prevent it from swinging and/or grabbing. The brave/ballsy can break the neck, resulting in full motor failure, but the jaw can still operate, creating a plausible threat.

Definition of Impacts:
Heavy - A high-velocity strike, such as from a heavy-caliber weapon or a large, heave melee (i.e. Sledgehammer).
Medium - A mid-velocity strike, such as from a 9mm, .38, or a easy-carry weapon (such as a baseball bat) that can cause significant physical damage.
Light - Utterly useless, such as using improvised weapons or a non-lethal blow. Please note that stabbing weapons, such as knives, are under this category for body shots, as zombies do not need their organs to function. However, a stabbing into the skull (via the jaw, eye socket, or temple) qualifies as a Heavy blow, as it destroys the brain.
Disabling - A impact that causes limb or complete disablement, such as decapitation, amputation, or good ol' fashion detonation
Lethal Disablement - AKA, a killing blow.
Non-lethal disabling - A blow that disables, slows, or stops a zombie. This can be done with "Crippling" effects, electrocution (causing muscle seizures), or with pinning the undead.

You Bleed, and if you bleed enough, you die out.

Non-Lethal - Bandage it over and move
Slow Bleeders - Stich/Staple, performed by a medically trained or "experienced" person in thread-work (i.e. someone who can seem dresses can also stitch wounds).
Heavy Bleeds - Staunch, sanitize, and field-operation required. A true doctor (preferably a surgeon) will be required to perform this.
Broken Limbs (Clean break) - The bone must be reset and braced. Limb use will be limited.
Broken Limbs (Shattered) - Bone fragments must be removed surgically (see Heavy Bleeds) and limb use is Extremely Limited.
Infection (non-Zombifing) - The wound must be cauterized (burned) and can be field-treated.
Infection (Zombifing) - It was nice knowing you. Unless you can access the Hive and get the cure before your 3-24hrs infection time is up (or however long it takes for you to die), you may as well bite the bullet.
