Mist looked like she wasn't trying to laugh as Bree dropped out of the tree she was in. She glanced at Jase as she resheathed her dagger and smirked.
"Fell for it." Was all she said as she made her way over to Mist and Hunter, right through the fire that had started shimmering and disappearing.
"I'm still surprised on how seamlessly you're able to switch the real stuff with the illusionary stuff." Mist said to her as she reached them. Bree shrugged in response.
"Fire, especially Darkfire, is tricky to work with. You need to know exactly what you're doing or else you will get burnt. Fire is wild, not easily tamed. To get a good control and sense of it to the point where you can create illusions of it takes years of practice and observing how it moves. I should know because that's exactly what I've been doing since I found my Seishou Affinity for it." She explained

Jase chuckled as before he stood up. He stumbled a little and then said, "I didn't fall for no trap. I just forgot how much energy that spell takes up." He chuckled again before touching his fists together and then bowing. "You are truly a great warrior. I am proud and honored that I will be able to serve you," Jase said before he straightened up.

Hunter Ikari
The Blood Seeker

Hunter had turned to say something to Bree, but stopped and looked over his shoulder. He stared off into the distance for a bit, before he seemed to snap out of it, looking back his new comrades. "An excellent fight. Very creative use of your powers."

Without warning, Hunter perked up, grabbed his scythe and spun it, a metallic clang being heard as a knife fell to the ground. A sky-blue aura began to emanate from him, and he muttered a few words under his breath. "Accelerate. Amplify. Dance. Drive."

As his aura began to pick up, coming off his hands, feet, and back, he locked his glance in a specific direction as a black arrow appeared on the ground before him. As he dashed forward, he suddenly picked up to full speed in what seemed to be an instant, and the arrow faded as he shot away. In the distance, he jumped, rolling into a flip, before landing behind some brush. The sound of a sudden scream, and what almost sounded like electricity crackling loudly.

A little more than a few moments later, Hunter was walking back, twirling his scythe, before letting go. It shattered into shards of darkness and wisps of light, which cracked and faded. His aura was just now fading away, and the scent of blood was heavily upon him.

"It seems a certain troublemaker shall never again trouble you or your family."

Mist couldn't hold her laughter in anymore and brust out in it when she heard Jase's response.
"That's the whole point of the Darkfire Illusion. It's meant to make people waste engery trying to get away from it before they realize that the fire is fake." Mist said loudly in her laughter. Bree elbowed her hard in the side. She got a glare at that.
"What Mist said is true. It's the whole reason I created that move. It takes very little Seishou to do because the illusion takes it from the real. Rule 1 of fighting: Conserve your energy while making your opponent waste theirs as much as possible. Rule 2 is to out wit them." Bree finnished explaining with a smirk. She'd definably done that here.

Bree and Mist went into high alert as the knife fell to the ground. Bree looked feral, slightly crouched down with her teeth bared and growling. Mist on the other hand had sunk into a defensive crouch to make herself a smaller and harder traget to hit, bamboo staff fully extented and ready to use.
They eased out of their stances as Hunter came back and informed them that the danger was gone. Bree stretched out her muscles, several joints popping or cracking. Mist had collasped her staff again and was securing it to her back where it normal was when not in use.
"Let's just hope he didn't have any friends who would avenge him." Mist said quietly. Bree nodded her agreement.
"I've had enough fun for one day and I didn't even get to pull my prank." Was all she said before starting to head back.
"In otherwords, she's still planning on pulling it." Mist said under her breath, following Bree's lead.

Hunter shrugged, and glanced over at Bree. Measuring his words carefully, he seemed tired. "There were quite a few, actually. Some of them were quicker than others." He stumbled forward, and glanced down at himself. He was close enough that the others would probably notice he hadn't come out of that fight untouched. Leaning against a nearby tree, he seemed exhausted. "I didn't get up this morning expecting to have to end nary more a dozen lives. In such a short time, too..."

At this moment, the scent of blood on the air would pick up as his wounds began to finally let blood loose, though from the aura coming off of him, he was far from mortally wounded. He hesitated, before slumping to the ground, apparently unconscious.

"I seem...to be out of shape. Please...forgive me while I rest and heal." Bree would hear, Hunter's voice sheepishly echoing through her mind. His breathing slowed to a restful pace, though Bree would feel the link was very much still established between their minds.

Mist stopped in her tracks and looked between Hunter and the area he had gone off to to kill what she thought at the time to be only one person. She was wide-eyed and slack-jawed, that much was for sure. Bree chuckled at this having stopped further on the trail back to the village. Mist's nose wasn't has fine tuned as hers was, so of course she wouldn't able to tell.
"Trust me Mist, by the scent of blood coming from that direction, there is more then one body over there." She said.

Bree looked at Hunter worriedly as he slumped on to the ground. "How long will it take you to heal?" she asked him telepathically. She didn't want to be out here for too much longer because on the contra to appearances, she was about ready to collaspe herself.
"I could carry him..." She hesiantly offered as she study Hunter curiously.
"Would that be ok with you? If Mist carried you back to the Inn?" If it was, then they could get out of here immediately. All this blood scent in the air was sure to be attracting some of the forest's more.... unfriendlier residents. Bree didn't want to face them in her condition. The only one capable of fighting right now was Mist because Jase looked pretty exhausted himself.

((btw, I'm not sure if unfriendlier is spelt right or if it's even a word. It's too bloody late here and I'm too tired to care about spelling or if a word is real or not right now.))

"Of course. I trust you. I trust her. Just...be safe for now. I can wake up and fight if you're in danger...but it would be risky." Hunter said haltingly, through his telepathy with Bree. It seemed his wounds were already closing up, for the most part, though that didn't mean the damage wasn't severe enough to cause him great pain. It was taxing on the body to heal this fast.

Jase didn't have zero energy left, but he did have almost none. There was one way he could charge up, but it came with a cost. "If I need to be fighting capable, I know a spell that will rejuvenate me. Though there is a catch," Jase mentioned as he leaned against a tree.

"Ok, just don't strain yourself too much. I don't want you doing permanent damage to yourself." Bree said softly back through the mental link.
"Pick him up, just be careful." Bree said to Mist. Mist nodded and went over him. She was careful with her movements as she picked him up so his injuries wouldn't be jarred and cause him more pain then he was probably already in.
"Upsy-daisy" Mist mubbled as she stood back up with Hunter safely secured in her arms, bridal style.

"And that would be?" Bree said to Jase as she got a bad, sinking feeling about whatever the catch may be.

Jase let the seriousness get to him as he replied, "I drain some of my lifeforce by using it. It's only to be used in dire emergencies." Jase was pretty sure that a threatening force was dire enough since most of them couldn't fight to maximum ability. He would be able to at the cost of about ten years of his life.

Hunter Ikari
The Blood Seeker

Hunter did not reply to Bree, though his slow breathing showed he was resting. He was surprisingly light, for his size, as well, though it was anyone's guess how this was possible, and if it was magic or mundane. The emotions melted away from his face, and he became less tense, relaxing fully. His fae scent became more alluring, and his aura more calming, as he drifted into a healing trance. It seemed he intentionally held back those aspects of himself, and now he had no control over such a thing.

In his mindscape, Hunter was in a forest. He sat on a large flat rock in the middle of a stream, a multiple step waterfall flowing behind him with small reflective pool held in shape by roots, rocks, and soil forming the natural feature. Curtains of sunlight filtered through the canopy of trees above, gently illuminating everything in an ethereal light, the oldgrowths around lending to the inherent magical nature of the area.

A lone oak stood on one side of the stream, it's roots gently soaking at the edges of the stream. This area was a reflection of Hunter's home, although he was the only intelligence in this facade.

Breathing deeply, he hoped his wounds would heal soon. Although it was peaceful, this place was lonely.

Battle Theme Commences!

Now then, onto the explanation portion. Q & A time.

Whats a BPC?
A Bpc is an Ipc type character with a huge stat boost. Not to be taken lightly as they can do many special actions that many other PC's can't. Auto hitting is one, but only for special actions, abilities, and it is almost never fatal. Almost. Whats the exception? Failing to meet the mission requirement to bring it down is likely to be one, but it shouldn't be to much of a problem so long as everyone works together. Another is that each BPC has certain mechanics to each fight, those who play RPGs should know this well by now.

How will we know what do to?
Specifics of the boss fight shall be posted at the start of each fight, upon entering the battle, players automatically consent to these rules and bindings, there are no exceptions.

Are there any benefits to going after BPC's?
Yes, there are many. From story driven, to more lucrative reasons. We don't intend to leave our players hanging for risking their characters lives. Should a group(yes GROUP) of players defeat a BPC, they will be rewarded with a single rare drop. That's right One.

How do we decide who gets the item?
Cage match, no rules, last man standing wins. Or if you wish to be civil, we will halt the rp for everyone to roll a 1d6. Highest roll wins the item, no complaints.

Normally, any who enter the BPC phase are stuck, no retreat, no random entries, but seeing at this is basically a BETA test, I will allow it. No items for winning, since this is basically just a 'in the field' test to see how players act and react.
Now lets see what your local GM o doom has for you today.

User Image
AH here we go. Slypher the Ravager. Now you see, at this point I give the intro to the boss and give his specifics as a courtesy so that each player knows what they are getting into. Now as you can see this guy is both weird and warped, a natural occurrence seeing as you are all still within the confines of the Mistvale area of weird. His abilities will primarily be physical types of a brutish nature, but you should still be wary of taking them since he deals passive shadow damage. Should you take so many hits from him, your character will be inflicted with a curse or some type of poison. You cannot 'reason' or 'convince' so talking will be out of the question. During his battle posts I will occasionally highlight certain things or bold them to let you know something BIG is coming. On those notes, either an autohit is coming or something that can be stopped if you are smart about it. Now, seeing as your group has no set HEALER, I will be spawning little healing trinkets around the area, they will be highlighted in blue or green, generally following a huge attack. Now after each 'limit break' there will be a Cool down time. Take that chance to heal/buff/WAILLIKEALLHELL. This should all be common place for those of you who play RPGs. There will be a round table turn system. So please, do not post out of turn. All attacks will be responded to accordingly. Normal rules of engagement apply to boss battles, so please don't attempt anything against the given rules. Feel free to plan together to come up with combo's. Creativity on the battlefield is always a welcome surprise.
For any additional questions, just hit me up in PM or in the OOC section.

Now then, for sake of hurrying up his introduction, lets just say all your noise woke this guy up from his summer nap. He is crankier then an ol man yelling at kids from his porch. Area gets, SEMI, sealed off to allow for fleeing or entering should some other PC wish to enter. He is a mean ten foot tall, hacking, slashing, rip your face off monster with an aura that just makes your insides turn at the mere sight of him. So Good Luck!

Hunter Ikari
The Blood Seeker

In Hunter's mindscape, things were calm...but without warning, the river began to flow with blood, and continued to darken until it was but a writhing black mass of shadows, slowly infecting the surrounding area. Something wicked was approaching, and he did not the look of this. If someone could affect his pysche like this, it was worth the risk...if it meant guarding his charge, he would die trying, after all.

Hunter's eyes shot open, and he rolled out of Mist's arms, catching himself on the ground before standing up, crouching forward. His aura flared blood red, heavily for a moment, before it dissipated. After that, Hunter was nearly barren of Seishou, holding only enough to keep him alive, as it evaporated slowly off of his shoulders.

A pair of blades materialized in his hands, his trademark Sin and Virtue. Glancing around, he found his target, though he seemed as though her were in an intense focus. He didn't seem all there, and it seemed as though instinct drove his actions right now, before he composed himself. The last of his aura burned off, and the blood could no longer be smelled coming from him. Though his wounds were healed, he could not use his magic, for fear of draining his life force. The ambient Seishou wasn't strong enough to fuel his magicks, though it would allow his regeneration to function.

He glanced back at the others, locking eyes with Bree, and a calm came over his as he took a stance.
"Please don't be mad...I have to protect you. It is my purpose. Punish me later." He said, before turning to gaze at the large creature in front of him. Taking an even more defensive stance, he set his feet and took a deep breath. He was determined. His charge would not be harmed, if he could help it.

Terra was flying over Wikia Woods when he felt a darkness descend upon him, and the surrounding area. However this drew no alarm from him, what did was the fact it was a single entity that was radiating this darkness. Instantly he descended down into the forest. As his feet felt the soft mossy floor of the forest he deactivated his keepsake noticing Hunter, and Bree both who he had met before when he created a antidote for a poison Bree had been affected by.

Now that he was on the ground the darkness became stronger , and shadows surrounded them blocking out the sky. In response to this darkness an aura of seishou sparked up from his skin that was almost as black as the shadows that surrounded him, but there was no threat to his unlike this entity aura.

"Mother Earth hear your child's call." Terra whispered as the earth around him rose and formed into the young maiden Gaia. This was not his only aggressive response to this entity he also drew his twin bales Taka Tsume ancient weapons of a long lost civilization. Moving into a defensive stances Terra glanced over at the other man noticing that he was not as strong as he should be, so with out taking his eyes of the entity of darkness he reached into his pouch , and tossed a potion over to hunter that would help him replenish his Seishou for a short time.
