I don't know about you guys but when ever I look up Space Hulk stuff whether it be in the books or online I seem to find all the big marine chapters represented... with the exception of the Imperial Fists. It got me wondering as to why that might be and well... it might have something to do with being too embarrassed to ever go through such an experience again.

Well this is it, September 22nd is the final day for contest entries! So far 3 comic ideas have been offered up, special thanks to those who did so. I must say I do love your 40K spirit!

If any one else has an idea, please by all means send it my way any time today. Even if its a one liner joker or an 8 panel monster, all are welcome and the of course, the more the better!

As promised, this week I went with the polls and so with Tyranid beating the others 4 to 2, I decided what the heck, its time for a bonus round week. Expect Comic #14 Thursday night if not early friday!

I only posted the comic ideas of contest entrants. If you wanted triumphant orks Shinobi you should have written a comic for them! *just teasing* Rest assured, I've got a few ork comics in the rough for later on, you'll just have to be patient is all.

On a diff note: Has anyone actually played first edition Space Hulk? I inherited some time ago from one of my fathers' friends and just recently decided to actually take interest in learning how to play (can you imagine why? lol) and I have to say for a GW game from 1989 it's a wonderful simple and yet awesome board game! I'm looking forward to playing it with a friend in the near future... I just might need to pain the marines so I can tell who is who. lol

Alright I'm posting an apology, I had meant to have comic 14 a day ago and it didn't happen. The comic is written and even sketched out but things in the real world just didn't permit me the time and energy required to finish it. I promise I'll get it done as soon as I can but as to if it'll be saturday or sunday night, I'm not sure yet as I'm working all weekend.

I consider my apology a matter of consideration for those who enjoy the comics. That being said, here is the second Space Hulk comic.



For those who are perhaps not in the know, this year marked 20 years of Space Hulk, a game which in my humble opinion is possibly one of the best creations from Games Workshop ever.

What many may not realize though is that this year also marked another special occasion, the 30th anniversary of Ridley Scotts' 1979 science fiction horror film 'Alien'. A film which owes a great deal to the incredible artist H.R.Giger for being the creator of the xenomorph which to this day is a pop culture icon and a personal favourite extra terrestrial. ^_^;

Now why am I going on about these two things you might ask? Well lets face it, were it not for the creative genius of Giger and Scott, Space Hulk as we know may not exist as Alien was without question a key piece of inspiration in the creation of that board game.

So gamers and movie lovers a like, raise a drink in celebration for 20 years of Space Hulk and 30 Years of Alien!
