What would it be like to be born and raised into the circus?? I've checked on a few websites, but the closest I ever get to that is what it's like to be an adult and living in the circus. I want to know what your childhood would be like if if were spent completely in the circus.

Sounds like it would be fun! You'd probably learn all the skills and performance art styles you wanted! But on the other hand it could take a lot of the excitement out of it too, ya know? Being around something all the time, especially as a child, can take a lot of the glamor and fun out of it too. And if it is something where the kid has a parent or parents pressuring them into something all the time, it could be really stressful (like kids who have parents that make them learn to play instruments and such)

Could go either way, neither is for sure. And there's countless other possibilities. We'll have to get someone on here who's been around it since they were a kid.

I think it would be really hard but also great- you'd be doing circus full time an d there'd always be someone around to teach you stuff.
Here in Australia we have a circus school called the Flying Fruit Fly Circus School where you do normal school stuff plus circus as electives and in a lot of out of school time. I wish i could say more, but my parents refuse to let me move towns (states).

I've been performing in a circus since i was eleven and I'm touring with Cirque Du Soleil now. It's fun, but you don't have much time for anything else besides work until you change cities. My group would get a one week vacation between cities which we would mostly use to visit family. It's a lot og hard work, but you quickly become a family with those around you so there is never a dull moment.
