Operating Systems... something rarely talked about in the metaseries we all know and love called Gundam. The Operating System or OS as it's more commonly known is a very rarely discussed item in the Gundam universe but even though it's rare it is at the heart of every Mobile Suit and Mobile Armour, without the OS you wouldn't be able to pilot a Mobile Suit or even a Gundam, which is why were going to archive the known OS' of the Gundam universe.

So before I continue, I'm going to state that anyone may add to the Operating Systems and we'll have a skeleton for how we will set this out but of course first one must put it in the Archive Database thread so that it may be approved and then placed in this thread. Make sure you read and follow everything stated in the Archive Database thread so you don't make a fool of yourself.

Name of the OS: Zero System
Function: The Zero System was developed to be an interactive interface between a human pilot and a mobile suit. The system computes the results of a possible course of action and relays that back to the pilot who then considers these and mentally feeds directions back to the system. In essence the pilot knows the results of the actions he takes before he takes them.

The Zero system is programmed to think tactic wise and options it gives it's pilot may include civilian death or unnecessary destruction. It is up to the judgment of the pilot to guild the Zero System and be its "Conscience" so to speak.

An advantage of the Zero System is the ability to give physical stimulus to the pilot. This allows the pilot to feel the strain and stress the suit is going through while fighting. A downside to this is that the pilot is put under great emotional and physical stress even though it gives room for better controls beyond conventional means. Zero System becomes an extension of the pilot's movements and thoughts.

How ever due to the severe mental and physical strain on it's pilots the Zero System would never be used as a mass produced system. If the pilot user is not strong willed the Zero System can destroy a users mind driving them to insanity. In thus far, only the Wing Zero and the Epyon were ever fitted with the system. How ever there was a modified version used in the Libra's MD fleet.
