[Darkhom Illuminari]

*Darkhom stood in the center of the room, his muscles rippling as the collective energies coalesced in his body. They merged, finding unity and balance in his form, and his mind became clearer and more focused than it had been before.*

Yes, it's over. And I am fine...better than ever.

*Yet there was a strange mix of emotions in his face, of melancholy, anger and confusion. Visions had assaulted his mind during the transference, a complex amalgam of images detailing a massive city, and it's cataclysmic end. What had happened to the Dar'alus? it seems their end was sudden and violent, though he knew the answer were know within his reach.*

Let's go. *He muttered, claiming the tome from Fu as he turned to leave*

((So apparently I am feeling very wordy today. ^^; I didn't even know I knew all those big words.))  

[Fu]

Fu stood up unsteadily, her eyes still trying to find focus. She followed after the moving blur, guessing that the only thing that would be moving was Darkhom. "Hey wait, wait up! I can't see much right now-oof!" Fu's foot had found a large book, one that was hard pressed to move. "Dammit...."

Pushing herself off the floor, Fu resigned to hovering behind Darkhom. She kept close, lest she couldn't find her way back, getting more frustrated by the minute.

*Fortunately the path back through the city was pretty much a straight one with no obstacles. Darkhom was silent the entire time, lost in his own thoughts, mentally examining the new power he had obtained, as well as playing through the vision he had seen. It was too vague, too broken. Maybe after he read the latest tome he could make better sense of it all.*

*After teleporting through the gateway, Darkhom and Fu were met by a small number of well armed angels; royal guards as it were.* This way, please. *One of them said curtly, and Darkhom nodded and followed without a word.*  

[Fu]

"Ah ok...welcoming party?" Fu squinted her eyes, making out the weapons their escorts were carrying. Figuring Darkhom was going with them willingly she followed the group, maintaining her hover. When they stopped a few minutes later, she let her feet touch the ground again.

"Dammit, why won't my eyes finish adjusting already? It shouldn't be lasting this long...what the hell?' She figured they were standing in front of Alexis, but her eyes still wouldn't discern anything past 'blurry blob'.

*They were indeed standing before Alexis once more. What Fu couldn't see was the look of sorrow and regret on the Goddess's face.*

So, have you found what you were looking for?

Almost. *Darkhom replied, his own expression stern* I just need to do a little reading.

Well I do hope you will keep...an open mind about things.

*She noticed Fu then.* Oh dear! What happened to you? *She rushed over to the girl and looked into her eyes* Well, it doesn't look to serious. You should never look into pure Light, though. Your vision will clear in time, though it may take a few hours, even a day or two. And you may start seeing things you've never noticed before...if your mind is open to them.

*She turned her attention back to Darkhom.* I suppose you will be going now. Please do take care, and if you ever need to speak of anything, you know where to find me.

Of course, M'Lady. *Darkhom bowed, though his suspicions were growing. He had never seen Alexis this worried or nervous before. She was clearly afraid of what he might learn. That only made him want to discover the truth even more.* C'mon Fu. We're going back now.  

[Fu]

"Usually I'm not looking at those lights, but this time I got sidetracked by the library and didn't look away in time...I'll be glad when I can see more than blurs again, like you say. Thanks." Hearing her vision should return did ease her a bit, so she turned to where Darkhom's voice was and placed her hand on his arm.

"Alright, I'm ready when you are."

Yeah, let's go. *Darkhom nodded, leading the way past the goddess and back outside. Alexis's concern was troubling him, and he wanted to read through this last tome quickly, in hopes of finally uncovering the truth of this mystery.*

*Once outside, he placed a hand on Fu's shoulder and instantly teleported the both of them away from the realm of Light and Heaven and back to the Legion they called home.*

*Alexis was watching them from a distant balcony, sadness crossing her normally cheerful face.* I am sorry, Dhar'kerum. I hope you can forgive me for what I've done...
