So you want to roleplay your Chime Spirit, and you need somewhere to do it? All you need to do is post here with a small scene with your Chime Spirit intended to go in your journal. Once I've seen that you're really serious, I'll make your journal, upgrade your Chime's wind type, and you'll be able to start working toward more spells and stronger powers!

How to Get a Journal:
1. Write or roleplay a scene involving your Chime Spirit. (This may be done at any stage.)
2. Post that scene in this thread, along with a note that you would like a journal.
3. When I see the scene and note, I will set up a journal for you.
4. If your Chime Spirit is an Air Spirit or Permanent Spirit, I will roll stats for you. Otherwise, the stats will remain blank until they evolve.
5. Be sure to request spells for each wind-type change.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Requesting Spells:
1. Check your wind-type's allotted spells.
2. Go through the list in the main thread, or in the Shop Mirror.
3. Post here with a list of which spells you would like your Chime Spirit to know.
4. Be sure to post clearly WHICH Chime Spirit you are requesting spells for, particularly if you own more than one.

There's what I have so far... one is a rp in between Zero (Echo) and Memi (Panacea) with Zero recieving the the chime, and the second is a journal entry where the chime is mentionned, and the third is the front page info that says where it is placed. I have no idea if it counts, if it doesn't ill write something.

Lyric will mostly be rped along with Echo in her journal... But ill cross-post for your convinence as I remember to do so.

Zero Dream
~~ / Ill play this song for you...

Memi jingled in the door. She seemed to be doing that a lot lately. The staff that she had slung over one shoulder jingled, Asclepius jingled, and the box was was carrying jingled. She thought that jingle should be a movement verb for her, and found the thought extremely funny.

She opened the door quietly--as she was able--and came into the shop, her home. She was sleeping in a storeroom, as Aclepius had so artfully reminded her, but it was home. It was a comfortable, warm, safe feeling.

Now she just had to find Zero....

Which, on all account, would not be so hard.

The teen had been lured down by hunger, looking through the fridge, unaware that anyone, even less her friend, had just entered. Disadvantage of someone permanently humming in your head, maybe.

"Zero! You're up!" Memi rushed over, chiming all the way. "How'd you sleep?" She tried ineffectually to hide the box behind her back. It was wrapped, so it wouldn't really matter if she saw it or not, but... it was a surprise!

"Long. I can't believe I slept for four. freaking. days." She mumbeled. At least she hasn't felt asleep since then...

This was so freaking confusing...

She blinked though, noticing the box and comically leaning, only managing to stay stranding was by her grip on the fridge door.

"Nani ? You went shopping ?"

"It seems pretty normal around here," Memi said sympathetically. "It seems like everyone but us sleeps like sixteen hours a day. Maybe it's a god thing. And yeah, I did." Memi tucked her staff under her chin, an odd and awkward position, and offered the blue paper-wrapped box to Zero. "For you."

"Ne ?" She blinked, then smilled. "Seriously ?!? Domo arig- errr, thank you, I mean."

Her quest for food forgotten for the time being, Zero took the box and handled it like if it was fragile crystal.

"Let's go to the couchs, ill be better to open it there !" Excited and happy, the teen was allready scampering off before she had even finished her sentence.

Memi bounded after her, staff back in hand; she wondered if Zero would like it. Or if Echo would like it. She jumped onto a couch next to Zero and settled herself in, squirming like a puppy. "Go on, open it!"

Zero basically leaped into the couch herself, attacking the paper as soon as she had stopped moving, grinning like a 5 years old high on sugar on a christmas eve.

And when she finally opened it, her eyes whidened.

"WHOA ! This is so cool, Memi ! And so pretty ! Where did you find it ?!?"

Very pretty, yes... and sutch a beautiful sound...

"There was a little craft store that opened before I... um... left, that my Mom goes shopping at sometimes. I went back today, and I thought you'd like this one." Memi was grin like the cat that ate the canary. "It sounded the prettiest."

"It's wonderful." She smilled, poking it with one finger gentely to get the sound to play. "Really really wonderful. Echo loves it, too... Arigato."

She seriously wanted to go and try to find something to give to Memi, but realised she wasn't quite sure just what... Oi. She had to find something... She would, in time.

"You're welcome," Memi said, pouncing Zero for a hug. "I'm so glad you like it. It's kinda for the both of you, since you like metal and echo likes music..."

Asclepius shook himself, chiming self-consciously.

Memi giggled. "I think he wants one too."

Zero returned the hug, grinning.

"I can see why." The teen visibely decided against moving for now. "Maybe we can go get him one later, and you could show me where the shop is ?" She asked, a bit curious. She'd never spotted a shop with chimes before... but then, all things bared, she hadn't been in gaia for that long.

"Maybe, sure! It's just this little place with lots of chimes and other things my Mom called "rustic" even though they looked clean to me," Memi said. "We could get one for Beryl, too, maybe. She'd probably like it better than Asky. He'd probably make the cleaning sprocket keep it shiny. We don't really have a window to hang it in anyway, so no breeze."

That was one problem with living where she was. No windows. While there was a lot of really neat stuff, it was like she was closed in a box. It was a reason she stayed out and awake as much as she did.

"Yeah, im sure she would love it." The teen mused, running an hand to the side of the chime to keep it's sound flowing, with a percision on the start and end that could make wonder who was really handeling the movement.

"We could always ask Beryl to make some wind for us ?"

"But then, perhaps, did she not tell you you could decorate your room as you may ? It might be possible to make a window..."

"Jinx." Zero announced, frowning a little bit. "But I dunno how."

"Me either. I wonder how we get our own rooms, if there's paperwork or something." Memi looked up at the ceiling in thought. "Probably not. I hope gods don't have paperwork. Hey, maybe we could be roommates for a while? If you want. I don't know how it'll work after, but I think that could be cool. Or we each get our own rooms however it works and stay with each other, like a sleepover." Memi was obviously in love with the idea. "With popcorn and chocolate and funny movies!"

"Better yet, have our own rooms right one next to another and have some kind of secret passage in between them ! So we can visit each other all the time without anyone noticing." Sage nod.

Sounded like a plan, a plan indeed...

"Ooh, I like that a lot!" Memi snuggled up to Zero. "I'm glad you're here. I have so much fun. I need to ask how we get rooms so we can do that..."

"I could ask Beryl next time I see her..." She tapped her chin with her free hand, the other still holding the chime in the air, as if it could catch wind that way.

"Because, in a sence, we can't just mooch off part of their room forever, ne ? Im amazed Beryl isn't annoyed at me... Im kinda loud without really noticing it sometimes. And Vertigo loves to knock things down."

"Yeah. I wonder if we can even get rooms. Maybe there's an age limit, or th gods have to get them..." Memi wrinkled her nose. "at least we can ask."

"An age limit sound a bit silly." She mimiced Memi's face without really noticing. "I mean, I net we're not the first ones to just... stay here, yanno ? But I've yet to see another host, just gods... ...Do you think we are the two only ones ?"

"Maybe... feels kinda lonely, though, to be the only two not-gods here." Memi shrugged. "I wonder how many of them we've really met. I dunno. So what are you doing today?"

"Not much, really..." She tried to shove the thought of being the two only hosts in the closet for now. "I was gonna get something to eat... probabely go outside shopping. I promised Beryl I would decorate my room so... I guess finding things to put in it would be a nice start ?"

"Well, you've got one thing," Memi said, inordinately pleased with herself. "What were you gonna get?" It was ideas for more presents. And they were going to room right next to each other--which would be even cooler! Would Panacea and Echo like each other as much as Memi and Zero did?

"Well, probabely..." ...Actually, she had no idea. "...Alot of blue... maybe some musical instruments for Echo... Im sure she'lld love that." She tapped her chin again. "...Things like that, you know ? I was actually planning on just going by impulse, kinda."

Two notes are slipped under Beryl's door:

Memi
Zero,

I'm going home. Sorry I didn't give you any notice, but I thought I needed to do it soon. They're worried, and as much as I want to stay, I think I owe it to them, even if they don't listen very well. I'm going to try to be back in a week, and if I'm not, I'll think of something to run away again. Asky is with me so I'll be safe.

Please don't worry too much.

Memi smile
A sequence of seven numbers is scrawled next to a few hearts and a windchime with several music notes floating out of it.

The teen read through the note a few times before seeming to finally grasp the situation, falling a bit limply onto her bed. She could not blame Memi... if her father had been there, she would have done the same.

All the logic in the world could not keep her from being basically eaten by worry. How likely was it that her parents would even let her go ?!? What if... Oh, boy.

My one, you should not imagine the worst yet. A week can span alot of changes...

Memi had told her not to worry too much... but she wasn't sure if she could do that.

The note found itself safely tucked in between two photographs on her desk, directly below the windchime, Zero looking at it and making it jingle a bit before sighing and leaving to go downstairs.

Worrying her head off all week would not do any good.

Quote:
A windchime, given by Memi. n_n It it suspended on a hook in a way that you can see it no matter where you are in the room, and some wayward wind from Beryl's chambers sometime manage to create it's sound... Zero is too afraid that someone would steal it to hang it outside.

It had taken three tries to get a nail in that would stay; after the second go Tamtun had needed to pitch himself off the rickety crate, hands scrambling to catch his new pretty before it crashed to the ground. "Ah, and that be too close! Perhaps ye be metal, an' only a thing besides, but truly I be taking a bit better care of ye than that!" Fingers deft with line and net soon sorted out the mild tangle, leaving it good as new.

After that little misadventure, he'd dragged the crate across the dirt floor, scraping furrows and kicking up clouds of dust. He coughed a lot, but the nail went in and stayed, the boards on this side of the shack apparently sounder, and Tamtun hung his new windchime with a satisfied smile. Almost immediately two of the pipes rang together as the sea breeze trickled through window. "Such a pure, sweet tone," he whispered, smiling up. "Florence will smile to hear ye, that be fer sure!"

Now, perhaps the gel would leave be about him needin' a place more home-like! He snorted softly. That was as likely as the moon comin' down to be his lover. But Tamtun found himself glad for his own sake that he'd had Florence's frettin' in his mind as he passed 'Chime Spirits.' It might have taken the last of his coin, but what was base metal when set against food for your heart? Besides, Barton's fishmongers might get cheap wares from Bass'ken Lake, but good sea stock couldn't be beat, and the trade showed it.

"I had me rice, a mess of peas, an' the loveliest whiskey I ever did see in these parts in me sack, lovely," he told the hanging chimes, one rough finger tapping a pipe and making it sound. "What more could a man be wantin'?" Then a wild summer breeze had set a clamour of pipes a'callin' to him. "I only be lookin', like, but how could I leave ye there, me lovely? With tha' lights like the deep still sea an' soundin' like all tha' bells o' hame."

The night winds were coming, stirring up gentle eddies of dust and flirting with the ragged hems of Tamtun's clothing. He sank down with a soft sigh and leaned his head against the wall, watching out the open doorway. Shadows deepened, brilliant stars lit one by one, and tonight the pounding surf formed a backbeat to metalbright peeling chimes. Tamtun smiled, and waited for the music to call his friends home.

I still can't make this sound the way I want it too but here's my second try. The ending keeps on killing me.

A girl lays in her bed reading a book. The sunlight shines down on her as she turns a page. Looking out the window for a moment she frowns slightly then carefully marking her place in the book she sets it down. Getting out of her bed she stares at the window thinking.

"It's far too nice of a day to be inside." she murmurs to herself. Quickly grabbing her wallet and keys she shoves them in her poecket and goes outside. Not having any destionation in mind she picks a direction at random and starts to walk.

She ends up on the shore of Bass'ken Lake. Climbing out onto some rocks she sits and watches the waves for a while. The wind plays with her hair as she watches a hawk fly by. Watches the bird with faint envy in her eyes she sighs to herself, "I wish I could dance in the wind as well..."

Standing on the rock she holds her arms out from herself and jumps off of the rock and back onto the shore. Looking back towards where the hawk is flying she shakes her head. The soft tinkling of chimes interupts her dreams of flying. Looking around she sees a store she hasn't seen before. Curiousity gets the better of her and she walks into the store.

Wandering around the store for a while she finds all kinds of curious things but not the soft tinkling she was looking for. Another wind blows by the shop and she hears it again. Following the noise she finds the chimes. Gently pushing one to make it chime she shakes her head, "No...that isn't the one." She quickly moves on to the next one and repeats the process.

This continues until she gets to a reddish one. When she pushes this one the chime is the same one she heard out of the shore. Picking it up she walks over to the shop owner and asks to buy it. After paying for it she goes outside and takes it out of its box, "It much too cramped in that little box...and how can you play in the wind in there?"

Laughing to herself she shakes her head, "I'm talking to a chime. Lock me up now!" Holding the chime carefully so that it wouldn't tangle but could still chime she walked home.

"All right...this is home for us now. You'll go in my room. Damnit Bali...you're talking to chimes again." Laughing at herself she hooks the chime into her ceiling. The chime dangles in front of her window. The light shines on it throwing reddish colors around her room.

Settling back onto her bed she watches the chime for a while. Her new chime sings along with the gentle breeze flowing through her window and lulls her to sleep. She dreams of flying. A playful wind sings in her dreams and she dances with it above the ground.

Waking up the next morning she slowly stretches and looks up at her chime. After a moment she realizes that the wind in her dream sounded exactly like her chime. "So...you're my wind are you? I've been waiting for you for a while now." laughing she gets up and starts her day with a smile. Which is very unsual for her.

Here's my RP for a journal. It's a sequel to the RP I submitted to the shop for the flatsale. I also chose a name, it's in the RP.

Quote:
Mag winced at the first crash as a moving man dropped one of the crates. Thanking her lucky stars that she wasn't transporting anything fragile, she walked into the den to sit on an armchair that they had already brought in. Naturally, she had asked earlier if she could help, but they had refused her offer, saying that 'such a young slip of a thing' couldn't possibly do more than get in the way.

"Yeah," she thought, laughing to herself, "and who's the 'young slip of a thing' that's going to be arranging all this furniture after you guys leave? You wouldn't know stylish furniture arrangement if it fell from the sky and whacked you in the forehead." Well, it wasn't really their job to decorate her apartment anyway, so she wouldn't complain all that much. She was really just thankful that her furniture was actually there, after two weeks of sleeping on the floor.

A movement near the open porch doors caught her eye, and a gently chiming noise soon followed. Mag giggled, then walked over to the windchime, taking it off it's hook.

"Wouldn't want one of the movers to be swinging a box around and hit you, would we?"

She sat back down, gently cradling the chime in her lap. She could almost forget about all the chaos and the mayhem in her apartment, thinking about the beautiful melodies it had provided her with since she had bought it. As the moving men hastened in and out of her rooms, carrying all her odds and ends, she found herself daydreaming of all the momentous occasions this little chime would witness, simply by hanging in her apartment.

"God!" Mag said, teasing herself, "Sooner or later you'll end up giving the thing a name and inviting it to family dinners!" But, she had to admit that she felt an attatchment to the chime and a warmth when she heard it play. She slowly stood up and turned, placing the chime on the soft cushion of the chair for safe keeping. Then, she went into the hallway of her apartment, hoping to aleiviate whatever aesthetic damage the movers were doing.

Hours later, once everything was in place, Mag returned to the den, exhausted but satisfied. She almost sat down in her armchair, when a glint of metal grabbed her attention. Mag smiled and scooped up her windchime, moving once again across the room to hang it once more. It's music rang out gaily once it fell from her hand, making the atmosphere merry.

"Y'know, I think I will give you a name. We're all alone here together, not knowing anyone yet, so it won't do for me to be calling you 'you' all the time, neh?" The chime rustled in the breeze from the still open door, almost like a response. Mag grinned and clapped her hands together.

"I think I'll call you Pax. Do you like that?" The chime rang out again, thrilling the already excited Mag even more. Even if it was an inanimate object, at least she didn't have to feel alone in this empty place.

Smiling and nodding to herself, Mag turned back to her chair, pulling a book off a newly placed table. With her heart was filled with joy from the music, and her belongings in place, this new apartment and this new life finally felt like home.
