Got it day 1, have not quite yet beat it, but I seem to be the only one I know playing it. More to come.
I'm sorry, but AC4 about killed us, and the AC line. But now that SEGA has dropped out, THIS, THIS (forgive the pun) may be the answer to our prayers. - This is the thread for the newest installment in the AC game series, Armored Core 4A "For Answer".
This game is not an expansion to AC4, it is another game unto itself. It uses most all of the game mechanics and systems from AC4, but with many noticable improvements.
REVISED CONTROL SCHEME We still do not have the old school precision from before AC4, but the new "Simple" scheme has made things MUCH easier.
ASSAULT ARMOR Overboost equipment now gives you the option of making 360 degree attacks to blast targets around your NEXT.
V.O.B. (Vanguard Overed Boost Unit) A back-attatched rocket booster pod seen in the opening movie. Using this system makes a sort of mini game, based on another, less known FromSoftware game, "MURAKUMO" (notice the name?).
COOPERATIVE PLAY Arguably the biggest or primary selling point for this game. Players may invite one friend to join them on some of their story mode missions. The system is actually simple, quick, and easy to use. No reports on multiplayer issues yet... 8-player arena matches are incredibly fast and furious. Speed seems to be key, and blades can now potentially dominate the field.
LASER BLADE UPGRADE Fans of HALO will recognise the new "blade rush" function. Laser blade weapons have received a large upgrade in performance with the addition of a homing feature. This makes these already dangerous weapons, even easier to use.
ARMORED FORTS These are the new giant robot bosses of the game. These can look like giant armored turtles, or more famously, aircraft carriers combined with and oil rig. These things are huge and powerful, but they tend to have a glass jaw.
