Regardless of weather you're going with Japanese or Chinese quality (don't try comparing a Japanese k to a Chinese MP7 or visa-versa since it just doesn't work), it's really about what you're looking for. The K will get you the option of using a 9.6v batter resulting in a higher rof, as well as a larger, more powerful motor and gearbox leading to better range and higer fps.
The MP7 can get some very nice accuracy, has that retractable stock, and folding foregrip (not very amazing quality on the Chinese versions since they can be forced back up with enough force or even break). The downside to the MP7 is that since they're so small, they won't last very long in comparison, and because of its size, they had to make it a 7.2v to make it last longer. This means that the rof is significantly slower. The size of the gearbox also limits the overall range and power.
If cqb is all you're looking for, the MP7 will fit that bill nicely and still provide some versatility, not to mention that they make leg holsters for it. The MP5K will give beautiful close quarters support and give decent mid-range performance. It's more of a question of body functionality vs. power and range. The K can be a backup if you wish, but you should get a 1-point sling regardless.
