A girl in my class did a project on Jack the Ripper and did no research just watched this movie. I was so upset because I know a lot about jack the ripper and all the different theories on who it was. The teacher picked her over me to do the project. stare

That sucks. She just watched the movie? The movie explains a lot about Jack the Ripper but not about all that much. And although it is accurae it's not completely accurate. It doesn't even talk about the other murders thought to be the works of Jack the Ripper such as Martha Tabram and the femalt torso found that no will ever know who it was.

Not really. If you think that one part where the Duke of Clarence and Anny something was nude you don't want to watch n**/Tuck.

The thing about Mark Kelly and Detective Abberline never happened. Its not even known that they even knew eachother. The prostitutes might have seen eachother on the streets putting in consideration that they had the same career put the probaly did not even know eachother personally like it depicts in the movie. I'm not saying its a bad movie I loved it I'm saying there is a lot of things incorrect about the Jack the Ripper case depicted in the movie and what really happened to the prostitutes.

I got this movie for Christmas and watched it for the first time yesterday. The plot was a bit hard for me to follow, albeit there were many distractions around me when I was trying to watch.

It's definitely one that I'll watch again ^^

Um I don't think Johnny named his son after Jack the ripper? I could be wrong though lol. I know that he had a similar tattoo on his arm (with a sparrow) for pirates of the caribbean...and decided to keep that tattoo..but with the sparrow facing towards him instead of away, and put his sons name (Jack) under the sparrow.

He also has his daughters name (lily rose) tattooed on his chest.

No. Not much into graphic novels and it has no tradition in my country either. Not so much as in US for example.

My first time 'round I was not impressed. It was ok...but not astounding. I almost feel like I had wasted my time...It was slightly dull, and hard to follow. Almost like it had been me who had taken the intoxicants, not Depp's character. I shall, however give it another go...but..
