Listening to they're words, Xenon had found himself becoming more and more ill tempered as the scene went on...and in truth he didn't understand why... was it because they were threatening something he found amusing? While he couldn't pin the reason down exactly, by the time the other two thugs were dispatched by Kimiko's rather impressive fire ball, he'd had murder on his mind.

But he reasoned with himself. There was no cause to kill them, they were just three vulgar fools, apparently incapable of rational thought, and weak to boot...he could forgive them...his anger abated. Still...why leave loose ends?

He'd been looking for an opportunity to use his shadow Intimidation jutsu any way, why leave this potential threats to his favorite toy floating in the wind? Besides...he'd only completely destroyed two of there minds. One of them had amused him, caught his attention, and therefore as a result Xen had spared his mind from complete destruction... he'd probably awake within a few days time. if he decided to seek revenge again...well, then Kimiko could probably defend herself, if she couldn't, well, then she wasn't the person she thought she was. Still... the memory of his "Worst fear" still haunted him...

With a quick change in thought direction, Xenon turned his attention to now ever closer exams. He was ready. He had no doubts now. Even without his senbon defeating another Academy student would be child's play...even if his opponent was Kimiko. The only person who stood a chance at beating him now was Raine Tekkensesai, and Xenon had planned for this. If they met again in battle, it wouldn't be the same fight. Xen was now fully versed in his clan and their strengths and weaknesses, and his own strengths had changed... He was now looking forward to his match with Raine, but not merely because of a chance to fight him, that as strong as they both were in their respective fields was chance, but for a chance to speak with him again, pick his brain...after all Raine struck him as a..."Hero."

It was true that Raine still seemed quite the child... but well, they WERE children. As Xen himself was often guilty of, it would show in their actions and emotions. If Xen, who understood the truth of things, fell to his own childish tendencies, then someone with a Tekkenseisai's mentality certainly shouldn't be blamed for it.

He recalled what Raine had said. Yes...he was talking about never giving up. He mused over this. In a sense, he and Raine must have been very different. To Xen, the act of giving up was actually far more difficult than sticking through til the end. Xen's nature was to never surrender, but he knew when to er on the side of logic, he understood when you had to accept defeat, to cut your loses and honorably bow out.

It was really quite fascinating though... now that Xen thought about it. In a word, the strongest Potential Genin for this year were probably himself, Raine, and Kimiko... each one, in their own way, was only strong because their personalities and natures were so... it was interesting to consider that those who became strong were so because they each had a reason, a desire that drove them to be so...

Every person had a one...every strong person had a desire, a reason they became strong, an ideal they held close as they strove to gain more power. For Kimiko, it was here dream to become a heroine, a real champion of justice. He knew her well enough to know that. His own reason was simple, he wanted to be able to live the way he wanted to. Wanted to become so strong that no one could take away what he desired, so that he could afford to care about things without fear of losing them...

He wondered then, what Raine's reason was...why did he strain to gain power? What was it that gave him his strength? He pondered this. He'd have to ask Raine about that next time they met... indeed, perhaps he'd make a habit of that when he encountered other people of impressive power... he smiled with a hint of good humor. It might be interesting to understand those others who, like him, were among that rare echelon the world called, the strong. Well...admittedly he'd not yet joined them...but... somehow, deep within, something beyond planning, beyond instinct... told him he would be there someday...someday.

As the wind blew past Xen, the water about him rippled gently, brushing his hair as it past. To the onlooker, he may have seemed almost...pristine. Like some innocent decoration set into the water reservoir. His coat even flapped gently in the wind. Xen, while he'd indeed mastered it soundly, hadn't really taken to time to really exploit his ability to walk on water since mastering it... but...it felt so... surreal. He opened his golden eyes, his chakra still flowing as his fingers stayed in the seal while his face turned skyward.

'I've come so far since then...since that day in the woods when i opened my eyes... but even so I'm so far from my goal...I wonder what those two would say to me if they could see me now... I wonder if they would be shocked that their sun can judge human life so easily... I wonder if they would be afraid of me...' he pictured his parents faces. 'Of course not... those fools would fall for my act just like all the others... all the others but Sanako and Kimiko...they would believe in the illusion because that's what they'd want to believe...just like the world...' he smiled to himself. 'But, who could possibly blame them for that?'

Xenon looked down into the water, his eyes darting between the numerous fish that swam beneath his feet, some eying him curiously, as though assessing if he was dangerous. Humans were a little like that sometimes. It was natural behavior when you met something unfamiliar. You decided whether or not it was a threat. It was the logical reaction to unexplained phenomena. One couldn't be blamed for making a decision based on such criteria. Indeed, as Xenon often said... people could rarely be blamed for anything. They were just following their own hearts and minds through this vast sea of existence, both of which were products of circumstance, of luck. In the end everything was both written, and unwritten, based on how you wanted to look at it... but that...was the way with everything. Everything was truth, and everything was illusion, that was what Sujin had said to him...but even that too, was just one way to look at it...

Xenon laid back on the surface of the water, his chakra still supporting him as it ran through his every muscle, ran intertwined with his every vessel. He closed his eyes yet again, feeling this with some satisfaction. Chakra was something he understood. He'd always found chakra control to come rather easy to him thus far. Unlike the unseizable truth and lies of the world chakra was one with himself, his greatest ally and his ultimate weapon. In a sense Chakra was apart for him, but in so many other ways it was closer to him then the blood that pumped through his veins. He lay there in silence, the fish now apparently accepting him as a natural part of the enviroment, passing along about their lives without complaint.

Kurina looks around her carefully, observing her surrounding, she finally made it to the training ground where she could start doing some training, since there was no academy at the moment, and this would be the perfect spot for beginning her training. In front of her was the dojo's bridge, over the stream of water. It looked rather a good place for work and relaxation if needed.

She walked over the bridge staring around her in a calm manner, with her hand in her pockets, not really interested in what the others were doing. She spotted a few people around, but she wasn't in a happy mood today, more of a cold on, she picked a place away from the others and stood for a minute recognizing her surroundings, they seemed appropriate for some strength trainings. And then, she decided to do some push ups.

Kurina began doing contrating and relaxing her muscles a bit, it was her first training to do and she had to do it right, closing he eyes, she breathed in and out then gave a heavy sigh of relief. she opened them and started getting excited and said with a serious manner" time to bust some moves" and dropped down to begin, hoping to pull it off in her first try.

But unfortunately she couldn't pull it off this time; it seems her muscle got exhausted from the first try out. it was getting harder by the minute." ohhh craapp...this..was goung great..I'm such a girl" and sighed, and also paused at her last sentece, and laughed at herself, such a girl!!! I am a girl... she thought sarcastically of herself, but after that she quickly regained her seriousness and decided to do it again, she won't stop until it's over.

Again she failed, she seemed to go on forever, and Kurina started to get angry and annoyed." it started out great, why can't it continue like that!!" she yelled out and glared at the ground. "Patience...no pain no gain" she calmed herself and kept doing it again until she totally relaxed. Doing the exercise again.

Finally, after two failed attempts ,she pulled it off again, making it two successful push ups,not in a row ,but still a good thing was coming out of this.it was for her own good, cause if you dont fail you dont win or learn in that manner. So Kurina started breating in and out again, those actions were helping her keeping way the anger and focusing on her training.
