Okay, so. I have a problem.
I always have a shadow/bag under my eyes no matter what I do and I'm curious as to what others have tried/heard in order to reduce this?

I know that I can just conceal these bags with make-up, but I'd like to avoid doing that because of how sensitive my skin is. I had a lot of acne problems before I started taking birth control pills, and still have to be careful to make sure it stays clean and not overly oily. My skin is now relatively clear, though I occasionally still have a minor break-out along my hairline [my hair gets really, really oily so I'll occasional have a zit on my forehead or in the hair riiiiiiight in front of my ears].

I've tried:
a) Getting more sleep [hey, you never know--maybe I really just don't get enough!]
b) Warm, damp cloth compresses

Does anyone else have any ideas?
Home remedies or store bought products are both welcome--I just want to stop looking so zombified-tired when I don't have concealer on.

I honestly don't know, I have that too but...I think that's just there and you can't get rid of it unless you like, get rid of the lower half of your eyeball.

You could use a salmon colored concealer and some foundation over I guess to help reduce the look, I've heard that works.

I've heard a few odd remedies for this, though I've never tried them myself. Supposedly pressing the backs of cold spoons on the bags works, and putting teabags on them reduces them... I can't vouch for any of these, though. I think your best bet is to use an oil-free concealer on them and get more sleep. (:

Spoons and tea bags, eh? haha
Ahhhh. Crudmuffins. I guess I'll just have to live with them, then.

They just make me feel so self-concious because of how tired I end up looking.

I have heard that the tea bag thing works too. Maybe going to a dermatologists? (I cant spell that word) or I think some high end make ups have stuff for that.

I just hide mine with glasses then make up when I'm wearing my contacts XD

Do you have allergies? Sometimes people who have bad allergies get dark circles under their eyes.

I do have allergies, actually. It's worse while I'm in Texas than up at school, so maybe they'll fade when I get up there? I didn't really notice them until recently, though. Also, I've been to a dermatologist a few times, though ... not for this. I guess that's a logical next step.

I guess I'll call a doctor u pabout it, and then try the tea bags if they don't have any other suggestions.

User ImageI can't explain myself, I'm afraid, Sir...

I get those a lot too, but mostly on the side of my eyes closer to my nose. I get enough sleep and everything, but I really don't know why they're there.

I'll try the teabags thing next time I get the chance and report back here.

...Because I'm not myself, you see.User Image

i support cupcakes...

I slighty have that too.
I really think it has something to do with what you eat; if you don't get enough amount of a certain vitamin, etc. there won't be enough red blood cells/capillaries underneath your eyes..

and eating them =]

Oh my gooses youhave my same exact problem! Now I've tried many a thing and spent lots of monies on stuff, but I finally gave up. It's just that we have thinner skin under our eyes. I usually put on a bit of cover-up to help, but there isn't much you can do. >:

I like to think that all those vampire wanna-be people out there would kill for our amazing sleepy-look. :3

Hi!! <3 If anyone looks on this forum even tho its really old for themselves I have some answers: I've had this issue a lot in the past too and it can be connected to a variety of things, and I am not a doctor but I think if you find the source you'll know how to treat it. Eye bags can be caused by a bunch of different things like lack of sleep, hyperpigmentation, lack of vitamins/minerals, naturally deep set eyes/larger brow causing a natural shadow, dehydration, and even eating too much sugar! There isnt really a "fix all" solution besides make up, its really a matter of finding the cause and a natural solution. If you want to try a concealer good for oily skin I personally use the Nyx drop foundation in "porcelain" and I find it works really well for my oily/acne prone skin especially when its only used under the eyes and not in more common areas for acne
Anyways I hope this all helps <33 drink water, eat multivitamins, get 8 hours of sleep, limit processed sugar, use cold green tea bags, and if it doesn't go away on its own in a few weeks see a dermatologist u.u
