Also, have you ever noticed how the elietes and all of the covenant are called "interlopers" by the Monitor? "Why must you interlopers use such... something or other." When ever they call the Containment protocols by their religious terms?

It would be kinda cool if the flood actually made a semblance of you. and it was pretty much as strong as you, as well.
also, I am not sure if you can do this in halo 2 or 1, but I want to be able to, when using a one handed weapon, sock someone, and then shoot them. Funny concept for multi, don't you think?
all right, I actually like the flood, seeing as the first time I played through the entire game without stopping was a legendary difficulty spree from 11 PM to 3 AM. The flood scared me then, and from the marsh level on, it seemed like just a survival horror game with a fps perspective. I literally screamed when I shot at them when they crept up behind me.
Plus, I love the sheer numbvers and the amount of shotgun ammo you can grab off of them.

The Covenant you need to be more strategic to deal with. The Flood you just gotta hope you can keep them far enough from you and have enough ammo to hold'em back. Hehe, The Library in Halo CE...wooo, some of those times dealing with the flood just keep going and you are very relieved once you can get a breather before the next onslaught.

Quote: There had best not be any new weapons..look at the time frame that has passed by, not nearly enough that some amazing new weapon has appeared....definetly no new Covenant considering the Covenant is going to s**t. Maybe we find Forerunner weapons...

Well technically all the Covenant technology is just adaptations of Forerunner technology..so we've been using Forerunner technology the whole time. Perhaps we'll come across something in the Arc that the covy couldn't find on the Halo rings.

I'd rather learn more about the forerunners, myself.

The Covenant seem to be a subspecies of the Forerunner since they apparently possess the same knowledge as far as machinery, weapons, and armor goes. From what is known, as Eagleam had mentioned, the Covenant weapons are adaptions of Forerunner technology. For all the Covenant know, they could be the Forerunner but through some massive and tragic event (well for the Covenant at least) this information could have been lost and the previous species split apart into several groups. Well my previous statements made no sense because the Covenant are a group of species. Let me rephrase this, the Prophets are connected to the Forerunner in a way they don't know yet because of some previous event that shattered their knowledge of everything of their past. Or the Prophets are just a cross breed of Forerunner but they once again don't know it for some reason.

And yes the first time I played Halo: Combat Evolved, the level 343 Guilty Spark... me and my friend were playing (maybe about 2 years ago) and the video in the beginning and the marine that was totally insane and the eery music with rushes of swarms of flood coming from everywhere.... yes that was the thrill of my life...

From 343 Guilty Spark we come to learn that he believes Master Chief/the Humans are the Reclaimers, which likely was some position/title of the Forerunners who were initially in charge of setting off the Halo rings should the need have risen(Which it sounds like it did). Humanity has more of a resemblance to the Forerunner than the Covenant do, and the Covenant all being different races seperates them further from that. Anyway, the Monitors beleive the Humans to be their Reclaimers and the Covenant to be the invaders on the rings....and the Covenant think the rings are their holy relics...poor saps.
