» Hello and welcome to Aria of Equilibrium! This is a literate to advanced literate roleplay that takes place in a fantasy/sci-fi setting. While recruiting, I hope to find great writers, but at the same time keep everything pretty layed back. There's no need to write twenty paragraphs every time you post if you aren't comfertable with it. If you are, well then go for it! The skies the limit.

» Now, before you start getting into the rules and storyline, I'll say right now that all the characters are premade in the sense that they are started at least. Each character has a picture and a role already assigned to them (ie: Lady, Captain, Pirate) to start the plot. Everything else is totally up to you. That means weapon, personality, background; everything. I know a lot of people hate premade skeletons for characters and I understand, so hopefully that saved time for those who don't, although I still think that you should check 'em out before you leave in case there is a character you DO like.

» So. Because these characters already have roles, that also means that roleplayers will be split into team-like groups, and start off in different areas of this world with their teams. What people you'll be grouped with depends on the character you choose. If you want to get better acquainted with your fellow groupies, we have an OOC Thread for you to stir about in. You can discuss group ideas or backgrounds for your characters so they match up if you like, or just introduce yourselves. For the more evil characters this isn't needed as much obviously, but we still would like to have everyone meet their fellow roleplayers!.

» Alas, we finally get to the part that actually matters. As said above, this is a literacy-required rp, along with one that doesn’t like slackers or complainers. If you actually read all of that junk up above this, you're off to a good start! Just remember, we like courteous roleplayers here (meaning people that aren't competitive or disrespectful to each other) that post frequently. Alright... now lets go ahead and skip to the good ol' index.

» Such power was too great, and in imprisoning it upon ones body, insanity spread slowly, from one soul to another, until darkness surged throughout the land, in turn forcing hatred and destruction upon an otherwise peaceful dimension.

» And so in defiance and defense, the power was shattered and cast across the lands bound to a body of the clarified, the bonds between each element thusly ripped apart from one another, creating a separation of the world.

» By the destruction of such power, the once superior city of Alvenothis had fallen and drifted, followers of its great power all but disappearing, the remaining learning to hide in the newly formed chaos.

» Centuries would soon enough pass and in reverence, new cities would be formed to honor each of their bloodlines, new cultures would be created, and the legend would soon be forgotten to all those that did not crave its power, all the while each broken piece of the world slowly gaining distance from one another, only joined through this hidden source's strength.

╓ The world was being torn apart by it's seams. It had been thrusted into darkness and chaos in a matter of days, and all due to a single power source. Humans had been warned time and time again about it. To obtain such great a power… to try to possess it and encage it against its own will would only result in their own destruction, and eventually, the death of everything they knew and loved. The Alvenothians, an ancient bloodline of guardians chosen to protect this mass of power had been safeguarding it for centuries, striking down anyone who disobeyed. Yet, being the power starved, uncontrollable race that humans were, they continued to ignore the Alvenothian's calls.

This energy was the source of all life in the world. It balanced all elements and represented all that was good and bad in the world, but being possessed by someone with greed or hatred would not only taint this pure source, but also make it unstable. When, during a great scheme, Alvenothis was attacked, the man who wrapped his body in the source's energy was transformed into a hardly recognizable creature, which escaped past the Alvenothian gates with the energy source in its paws. It soon spread destruction and insanity to everyone it touched. The world began to spiral out of control, continents being ripped apart, elements becoming unstable, both of water, earth, and sky. Everything was quickly destroyed. The Alvenothian's having been tracking down the stolen source, finally came across it twelve days later, where they ripped it from the deformed man's body, and instead placed it inside the safest media possible. It's great power was sealed inside five Zorevik Crystals, each making up a direct source of each element which had been split apart from one another. Because the energy source had already lost its ability to continue keeping one world balanced, the Alvenothian's devised a quick plan. They, all scattered across the lands, joined forces and applied their energy to the same incantations. To save the world they had sworn to protect, they gave their life power to separate the five broken dimensions of the world, dividing them into five individual worlds, only connected through the very energy that had destroyed everything. The Alvenothian people formed portals through each dimension harvesting each element unbalanced as they all were, so that at least there would still be equality amongst the people... or so they had hoped. Hardly any survived the huge transfering of energy, and the remaining Alvenothians were hunted and accused of being the cause for the newly formed worlds to have been destroyed.

Present day: The great kingdom of Sky has been conquered by its warring kingdom, The Barring of Fire. Due to the stories of the great Zakick Crystal's having formed each world as they know it now, and after having heard rumors that shards of the hidden crystals were found, the Sky Empress strives to finds this source of power to regain her once flourishing and peaceful world. Because of these rumors though, many others have been sent out in hopes of gaining this power also, all with different reasons behind their actions.

╓ The island this power was stationed in was one that was difficult to enter. Only the Alvenothites could control the technology that existed there, and although the other races had belief that such technology was only possible because of the energy source sheltered upon the island, it was false. Each and every being with the Alvenothian bloodline could use enriching abilities to aid them in every day life. Many were tied with certain elements, or even certain changes in the earth, but they all worked together. The mindset of these people were far more intellectual then any other race, as well as connected with the planet beyond just their physical bodies. They were the protectors of a power so great, it literally kept the world in balance.

» Literacy; Literacy is required. No computer slang and always use proper grammar and punctuation. Don't worry if you have the occasional typo, you're only human... I hope. :0


» Length; Posts should be two paragraphs long more then fifty percent of the time. Writer-blocked days are totally understandable, so every now and then getting less out in a post is okie-dokey.


» PP; No god moding, no power playing, no autoing, no major changes without speaking with the creator first. (Like killing a character or changing the plot.)


» PM; Do NOT post your profile. Pm it to ~Mistress Entia~. Also, don't post 'Can I join?' on the thread or I will have to ninja chuck you into space. Thank you.


» Spam; No spamming, flaming, or bumping. I mean it. Only I have the holiness to do that.


» Fighting; Make sure all fighting is realistic. You will get hit, and hit back with reasonable strength.


» Writing; Always write in third person. If you don't know what that is, you're probably not literate.


» Objects; This is a fantasy role play. No guns (unless they're used for or along with magic), grenades, televisions, or objects that wouldn't have been made or are made a thousand times better with sparkly magic.
