At long last Roon's chase came to a stop, leaping on a stone and flying paws first onto Macaw's tail.
"GOTCHA!" his face all smiles.

Macaw came to an abrupt stop the second she felt the paws on her tail. Pouting, she turned and looked to Roon. "Aww, no fair!"

Roon grins a toothy grin, "That was fun!" he gasps between pants. Letting go of Macaw's colorful tail. Licking his lips slightly, "Can we find a place to stop and take a drink."

Macaw soon gets over the fact she lost and smiles, large, colourful tail wagging once it was released. "Good idea!" She needed to drink too. "Erm.. which way was the river?"

Sniffing the air slightly, Roon gets the whiff of water off to the west. "That way!" proudly stated, as he steps off in that direction. Looking back over his shoulder to assure Macaw is following him.

Macaw, unable to pick up the smell of water, nodds and slowly starts to follow Roon, tail wagging lightly behind her. "Lead on."

A few twists and turns brings the two upon a stream trickling through the forest floor.
Roon darts forward down the bank and leaps, front paws landing in a splash. Bending down to lap at the water viciously, just now realizing how thirsty he was. Picks his head up, water dribbling down his chin, to look at Macaw.

Macaw follows Roon closely, not wanting to lose sight of him as she didn't fancy getting lost in a place like this. Thankfully, the two soon come across the stream and she sighs softly. Bounding forward, she stopped at the waters edge and lowered her head to drink. After lapping up a little of the water, she looks upto Roon and gives him a smile. "Feel better?"

"Very much so." Roon plods over to a spot on the bank covered in sunlight. "It's nice over here." Slightly shifting his tail to give Macaw some space in the sun.

Macaw dips her head once more to take a final drink from the stream before glancing over to Roon and his current spot in the sun. Well that did look nice. With her tail wagging behind her, Macaw bounds over and lies herself down beside him. "This is nice."

Roon sprawls out slightly, rolling on his back. "Ahhh," he exhales restfully, "I'm ready for a nap." he yawns out.

Macaw lays there, head resting on her front paws and her tail curled up against her body. "Mm. Me too." She murmered, eyes already closed.

Roon, closes his eyes after a few moments, and drifts off into a sweet sleep, next to his new friend. A smile on his smug face.

Macaw slowly dozes off beside her new friend and doesn't wake for another couple of hours. Even when she does wake, she doesn't move or say anything as she's far too content.

Roon sprawls out on his back, paws twitching in sleep as if giving chase to a smaller animal. Tongue lolled out the side of his smirking mouth.
