Someone said something about this, so I found the article for you all.
http://www.playbill.com/news/article/106068.html
Anthony Rapp, who created the role of Mark in the Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical Rent, will offer excerpts from his new one-man show in June.
As part of the annual Gay Pride Week, Rapp will present selections from Without You with Anthony Rapp during the Taste of Pride Garden Party June 18 at Pier 54/Hudson River Park Trust. The event will begin at 6 PM.
Rapp's new show is based on his Simon & Schuster memoir, "Without You," and the performance will also feature his rock band, Albinokid.
Rapp created the role of Mark Cohen in the Broadway and London productions of Rent. His other theatrical credits include Hedwig and the Angry Inch; You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown; Precious Sons; Six Degrees of Separation; Bright Lights, Big City; Raised in Captivity; Trafficking in Broken Hearts; Youth Is Wasted; Sophistry; and The Destiny of Me. Rapp's film credits feature roles in "A Beautiful Mind," "Adventures in Babysitting," "School Ties," "Dazed and Confused" and "Six Degrees of Separation." He was also seen in Chris Columbus' "Rent" film.
My thoughts on this? Ouch. Anthony, this is pushing it a little too far. I love you and I love your book but a musical? No b*****b song plznthx.
Either way, I think I'm going. I'll be in NYC that day anyways, so as long as I can get my hands on the money, I'll be there.

It makes me sad that he would turn such an awesome book into a musical. Do I detect an overgrown ego? there's not an emoticon emo enough to express my disappointment. I mean, the book is amazing, why force it into song and dance? And... a b*****b song??? Part of me wants to laugh at the idea, and part of me just wants to curl up in a corner and chant "Ew" over and over for the rest of my life. gonk
Anyway, Rhapsodic, if you do get to see it, tell us all about it, ok?

I was telling my friends at school about the ego issue. I was comparing him to Oddeseous from the Oddesy. I don't even know why. But, the whole ego issue is that the book talks about how little he had.
