I do but I don't. It's complicated. I also think that the term "soul mate" doesn't have to be a romantic one. I believe that my best friend and I are "soul mates" but I'm not going to marry her, or anything like that.

I have a view on soulmates. I used to be optimistic and romantic about them when I was younger and more angsty. Now I believe soulmates are kind of like twins. Not sexual but like siblings kinda. And I believe I lost my beloved soulmate when my brother died. crying crying I only realized this after he was gone...... crying I miss him so much. crying

I sure do! In fact, I also feel that it doesn't have to be human.
My cat Faithful is my soulmate. =]
I have no idea how I'll function when he dies. He's young yet so I pleasure myself with the idea that he'll live forever.
Don't tell me otherwise. >.<

I believe in past lives, and that soul mates are spirits you had a close bond to in those lives. So, it doesn't have to be a romantic term, but it can.

I believe in soulmates but I also believe that you may not met them in every lifetime. They may not be your partner but your best friend. The Greeks believed that soulmates were the product of a split soul two halves make a whole - but if you and your soulmate are so alike you may never have a romantic entanglement with them.

I do believe in soul mates. I think there is one special person out there for you. I know how you feel though. I've never been in a relationship. Feels like I never will be either. But gotta keep hoping it'll happen.

Soul mates, a fascinating topic often misunderstood as merely a topic of true love and romance.
However, I have found in my studies that a soul mate can be merely someone in your life that has something to teach you, about yourself or the world around you. A close friend sent to you by fate or your own internal will to change, someone who comes into your life bringing with them a lesson for you to learn. And sometimes when that lesson has been learned that friend may even drop out of your life making way for the next chapter.

I do definitely believe in soul mates. It might take a long time for you to find your soul mate and you might suffer a lot before you do, but everything happens for a reason, and everyone always finds their soul mate sooner or later.

I do believe in soulmates, but, as many have already stated here, I don't think a soulmate necessarily has to be someone you are romantically involved with. I also believe that you don't always meet your soulmate during your lifetime. It all depends on the choices you make in life and whatever lessons you need to learn for this lifetime. (Then, again, I believe in reincarnation, so some of you who don't believe in it will definitely disagree with this theory)
