Damien qsped to a halt and stared at Kat, before backing up trying to hide his eyes with his hands. "Go away Kat! Just leave!" Damien turned to run, but was stopped by his mother, holding him in her grasp. "Damien, this girl is who you love, and you are not screwing with my chances of grandchildren." Damien was now kicking madly as all of his air was cut off. He finally broke free of her grasp and slid underneath her legs, dashing quickly.

Kat's arms dropped to her sides limply as he told her to go away. She felt as if during that moment she'd been torn into itsy bitsy peices, burned, then stomped on. Tears rolled down her cheeks as she just stood there, watching him dissapear from her view. She wanted to chase after him, she wanted to just follow him until the ends of the earth if she had to. But...He didn't want her too...So she didn't. It tore her up inside not to, oh how she wanted to follow him, but she couldn't, she wouldn't allow herself to go against his will. He honestly didn't think she could accept him...And that hurt. She fell to her knees, legs crumbling under neath her delicate weight. She couldn't handle it anymore...She just wanted to pass out.

Melissa wrapped her arms quickly around Kat and whispered quietly to her, "It's okay Kat, just calm down. Damien needs time. He loves you so much, and he told me something that I want you to know. Damien wants to marry you. As soon as he gets enough money he wants to ask you for your hand. Please Kat, just let him be for now, he just needs time."

Kat's eyes widened at the mentioning of marrige. But was this true or was this a mere comfort to try and get he to snap out of it? She took in a breath and just nodded weakly, the teasr still coming down her cheeks. She wrapped her arms around Melissa, searching within her arms for some type of comfort. It hurt her still to know that he didn't want her to see him in that way. She sobbed quietly, slowly calming herself down. She needed to regain composure and such before her empathy took over again.

She looked into her eyes and listened to her question. She didn't have to ponder about this question, her love for Damien was beyond the stars. A soft smile came to her rose pink lips and she nodded, the tears still strolling down her cheeks. "Of course I would." she said softly. Her eyes softened showing a saddened expression beneath the bright irises. "I've never had a mother before." she said, the tears strolling down her cheeks.

"And I've longed for Damien to bring me a daughter." She then again embraced Kat, but pulled away and looked at her very matter-of-factly. "Damien is raising the money to buy you a ring, and he won't borrow money from anyone. He is stubborn, but he wants to call you his own. It will all work out in time, so I need you to give him your patience."

Kat listened to Melissa and the tears continued, but her smile never once faltered. "Patience? Damien already has my heart, my soul, my love. He doesn't have to buy me anything in order for me to dedicate my life and love for him for all eternity." she said softly. She wiped some of her tears, though they were now tears of joy. Kat was actually going to have a husband. That was something she thought she could only dream of. And Damien was perfect to her, he was her whole love, he was the best thing that had ever happened to her...And he was going to dedicate his love to her for all eternity...That feeling was beyond wonderful.

Melissa's ears slowly curled and popped out of her head as she flicked at them. She then gave Kat one final embrace before walking past her and exiting the asylum. Damien sat on a park bench, still fully formed and staring at the ground. There was a small puddle from his tears, and there was a curious child sitting next to him. The boy was no older than seven, and stared contently at Damien's ears. Damien had not noticed this boy approach or sit down as he was so caught up in sadness. "Crying makes the pain go away." The boy whispered to Damien. Damien was shocked and staggered to his feet, but when he realized it was just a boy he replied, "Sometimes it doesn't take out all of it."

Kat slowly pushed herself up into a standing position and slowly she walked to the scene in which Mercedes had caused. Blood was spilled all over the floor, but she ignored that and walked right up to the body. She whispered something and slowly the body turned to ash and dissapeared. She then got up again and walked to the storage room. Breaking into the storage room she grabbed a bunch of disposable towels and went back to the scene, beginning to soak up all the blood, cleaning the mess she could've prevented. It didn't take her long to get it sparkling clean again, as she headed into her secret room, and threw them out the window, having the towels land out in the dumpster that was outside the window. She opened one of the drawers in the room and grabbed a box of matches, lighting one she threw that into the dumpster as well, and very masterfully she managed to get the dumpster's lid to close, containing the fire. It would burn the towels, and eventually it would kill herself. With that done, she looked down at herself, and headed over to her shower. She felt disgusting.
