The dark-cloaked ones stood in the gloomy room around a table.

"The worlds have joined." a voice, bright with malicious glee said.

"Yes." said another. "We have begun."

"But what of them?" asked a more cautious villain. "We were each deafeated by one of them. If they find out..."

"They will not." This voice was more commanding. "We have been too careful with our plans. Those heroes," he spat the word. "Are helpless to stop us."

"You do realize that the last part of your statement makes no sense." The new voice was female, exasperated, and clearly bored. "Helpless makes sense. Poweless against us would have made sense. Helpless against us is just stupid."

The villians stopped to ponder this new developement.

"Incidentally, none of you wiped your feet before coming here, did you?" the female voice continued. "And who cleans this floor, might I ask?"

There was a general shuffling of feet and mumbling as the evil villians looked sheepish.

"Besides," she spoke again. "You've all ignored the most obvious danger to you. But you idiots probably don't even know what that is."

The dark-cloaked figures exchanged confused glances. They'd forgotten something?

"What is this danger?" one asked.

"If you haven't figured it out, then you're even stupider than I thought." the woman said. "Which is saying something, since I knew that you were comepletely incompitant and worthless."

"You watch your mouth, girlie." someone growled in a menacing voice.

"That's hard to do. I'd get all cross-eyed and stuff."

There was another silence while the dark ones comtemplated their new partner. And what did she mean, their greatest danger?

The woman rolled her eyes. No wonder they'd never managed to take over their worlds on their own.

Definitely my kind of villian.
