The story starts on the Guardians Colony. The new cadets are beginning to mingle, waiting eagerly to meet their instructor within the week, and to begin their service as Guardians. They were told only to prepare themselves for defense of the Colony, for recently in the TRAM tunnels, there has been a small outbreak of ReSEED. Who knows how much of an outbreak, as even with occasional patrols, it seems to refill.
This is where the story begins, as citizens and Guardians alike mingle in the plaza.
