How Troublesome. . .This place, in particular... it looked like Earth. But anyone who came across it would barely remember what Earth looked like. Only the newcomers. But it was still pleasent-looking. Orange and yellow and golden leaves clung to the oaks and aspens, though the forest floor was already covered in leaves of the same kind. Through the trees, however, one could see darkness beyond them, what would normally look like a starless night. But it was almost always like this.
Wonderland was never peaceful. Not in every corner of it. There might be peace here, but far away, in another part of this place, there would be someone, or something, in agony. A newcomer, no doubt.
Two bright flashes of green suddenly appeared, one right next to the other. And suddenly, a cat had followed the flashes, which turned out to be its eyes. The cat was lying on a branch, its unusually long, sleek tail waving lazily uner the branch. This cat was huge, very large compared to a normal cat, and had bright, glowing green eyes. Its fur was long, and sleek, and looked almost like human hair, just twice as soft. It was black as night, with dark, but very noticeable violet stripes, like a tabby. Spots adorned its flank as well.
This cat, sitting so calmly in the tree, was known, and even recognized by outsiders, as the Cheshire Cat.

/G./o./A./h./e./a./d./A./n./d./T./a./k./e./Y./o./u./r./E./c./s./t./a./s./y./ Laughing. Wicked laughter. Gentle laughter. Forced laughter. Happy laughter. Sad laughter. Sarcastic, ironic, love filled, hateful, spiteful. All kinds of laughter. It swirled and danced about, teasingly, never taking form, never being claimed.
Crimson eyes flashed open, to gaze upon a strange world. Once again. Was she still here? Sitting up, she held her head, only to look at her self inflicted scars. They had followed her here. To what she now knew as Wonderland. She had left everything behind. But those scars. They were still red, and swollen. They even stung if she moved them to fast.
Tears streamed down her face. She didnt even take the time to write a note. Then she pushed off the iron, and smiled, the most meloncholy of smiles. Tears flew passed her, upward, and twinkled in the nights air. The stars seemed to reach for her. The air rushed passed, pulling "Rikka!" A voice. A fammiliar voice. Who was it. What had she done?! Then, there was darkness.
Wonderland. A place of terror. So far, she had been encountered by talking butterflies, a mad woman, and whispering shadows. The last followed her about. They were the ones that laughed. The lost souls unable to take a full form. She wanted to scream at them, telling them to shut up. But no, she was to calm for that. Instead she stood up, and ran a hand through her long white hair. Why was she here?
"Your up," "Lady Rikka is awake!" "How exciting..." "Oh shut up." More laughter. The shadows were talking again. Wasnt there a way to make them stop? She rolled her eyes. She was getting annoyed with these creatures. All they did was talk, act, moan, and groan. Soon they would be giving her a headache What annoyed her most was they way they pretended. These shadows merely acted like they had emotions, but no they did not. They acted the part of what they might have become, but that was it. "Whats wrong Lady Rikka?" "She's annoyed!" "As always..."
"Please. Five minutes of silence." She pleaded in her gentle tone. She began walking. But there was no such thing as silence here. Oh no. Not with these shadows. "Go left!" "Lady Rikka yes! Left! Left!" "Who cares?"
"I'll go forward thank you very much." She replied, shaking her head. This was going to be rough.

How Troublesome. . ."Hm...? I hear something of interest... maybe something of zest..."
The cat spoke to himself in carefree poems, and hopped off of the branch. Befor he hit the ground, he had changed. Now a man with long, dark black hair was standing in the trees. But just outside the trees, he might find the disturber of the peace. He smiled feraly, like a cat. But... he was a cat, wasn't he? Most of the time.
The Cheshire disappeared slowly, fading. His vibrant green eyes were left, until they blinked out of exsistance. You could hear him, though, talking to himself.
"Who is she, this mysterious girl? Maybe she got caught in the shadows of swirl."
He walked slowly, wondering if he should just go. Perhaps he already knew them... perhaps not. Most-likely not.
His head was full of curiosity, so Cheshire just had to go find out. With stealth, of course. He rarely approached anything these days while visible.

/G./o./A./h./e./a./d./A./n./d./T./a./k./e./Y./o./u./r./E./c./s./t./a./s./y./ Arguing. That is what Rikka would hear for the next half hour. Sighing, she blocked it all out, humming a little tune. A shiver went through her spine; she had the feeling she was being followed. Of course, that was a common feeling in Wonderland. She had found it best not to even think about it. She kept her steady pace, the noises the shadows were making gettint to her somewhat. "No! We should take her to the Queen!" "No no no! She'll have Lady Rikka's head!" "Thats a bad thing?!"
Rikka breathed in and shook her head. Her humming quickly became a song. "Well let's go back to the middle of the day that starts it all I can't begin to let you know just what I'm feeling And now the red ones make me fly And the blue ones help me fall And I think I'll blow my brains against the ceiling And as the fragments of my skull begin to fall Fall on your tongue like pixie dust just think happy thoughts!"
The shadows ciesed their bickering for a moment, listening to the odd words of the song. Then it began again. "What kind of tune is that?!"
"A very good one," Rikka responded.
"No it isnt! Its rubbish!"
The girl sighed rolling her eyes. She merely continued on, her patience still holding true. If only something could shut them up... Then perhaps Wonderland wouldnt be so horrid. /B./u./t./D./o./n./t./F./o./r./g./e./t./T./o./B./r./e./a./t./h./e./

How Troublesome. . .Laughter.
It could be heard around the area, by the shadows, by the girl, by the invisible cat making it. Yes, Cheshy had turned back to a cat, but he was invisible currently, accept for his two vibrant green eyes, following the girl.
"Ah ah ah... Here we are, and yes I was right..." he chuckled again, sitting down. "What brought me here, to this strange, strange sight?"
Cheshy slowly became visible, tail first, then his body, then legs, and head. He was still sitting, his tail wrapped neatly around his paws. Sitting, he came up to the girls thighs, rather tall for a cat, but that made him all the more happier.
The black cat smiled, showing a row of pointed, sharp feline teeth.
"Yes, my dear, you were being followed. My curiosity overcame me, so I had to go see what the shadows were going on about again," he said, his smile growing into a feral grin. His glowing eyes died down in color a little in confusion. He confused himself often. But Cheshy had not spoken like this, without rhyming or riddling to someone - other than Alice and The Hatter - since he had become a permanent resident of Wonderland.
Strange indeed. It had to be some sort of record. Maybe he would find out later. For now, though, he had a girl to confuse.

/G./o./A./h./e./a./d./A./n./d./T./a./k./e./Y./o./u./r./E./c./s./t./a./s./y./ Rikka looked about a moment, untill her eyes fell upon a black cat. Tilting her head to the side, she raised a brow. Did it just... Talk? You think she would be used to things like this by now, and yet, she wasnt. Sighing, so took a step back. "You mean to tell me that they always talk like this?" Was all she could manage. She couldnt bring herself to scream out, 'What the hell are you?!' or 'Did you just talk?!' Noting his grin, she tensed the slightest bit. That was perhaps, one of the creepiest things she had seen in quite a while. Her hand rose to the small bell on her neck, and clutched at it tightly. It was sort of a nervous habit of hers.

How Troublesome. . .The same smile stayed upon his feline features as he watched the girl intently. He stood up, and began pacing, back and forth, for no apparent reason, his abnormally long tail wavering slowly above him.
"Hm? The shadows? Or me? Or you? Or Him? Or Her?"
Cheshy looked in a different direction each time he suggested someone, noting that the shadows had disappeared. Lucky him, being well-known.
He paused, then disappeared in a second. Only a few seconds later, he was back, except human, though he wondered if the girl would know this. The smile was the same though, his eyes as well. The same long tail swung lazily behind him as he flopped down on the ground, crossing his legs.
"I am like this often, yes. The shadows as well, you might have guessed."
He laughed again, then looked at her in a completely curious sense, smiling disappearing, and eyebrows raising as high as they could get, eyes widening.
"Are you like this too?"
Now he was acting childish, but he was like that often.
"Who are you?"
