The Gaur (IPA gauɹ) (Bos gaurus, previously Bibos gauris) is a large, dark-coated ox of South Asia and Southeast Asia. The biggest populations are found today in India. It is also called seladang or in context with safari tourisms Indian bison, which is technically incorrect. The gaur is the largest of all wild cattle, bigger even than the Wild Asiatic Water Buffalo and Bison. The domesticated form of the gaur is called gayal or mithun.
Place of Origin: Shanghai, China.
Description: Moko's actual race and place of birth are unknown as he was orphaned as a young child. His earliest memories; however, take place in country sides of Shanghai, China where he lived with his "ye ye" whom he came to accept as a "grandfather". He's noticeably of Asian/Caucasian decent but outside of that not much is known about his history.

Shortly after highschool ended Moko's grandfather died. Having nothing left in Shanghai, he applied to a university in Tokyo, packed up what few belongings he had, and left. While in his second semester he met Mika in the city and has since taken a year off from college to live with her in her small apartment.

Moko-chan is dangerously tempermental, easily angered and quick to erupt in violence. He's extremely sensitive and defensive as a result. He's trained himself in the art of Muy Thai.

Animal: Red Crowned Crane [reference pic]
The Red-crowned Crane (Grus japonensis), also called the Japanese Crane, is a large crane and is the second rarest crane in the world. In East Asia, it is known as a symbol of luck and fidelity. At 140 cm (55 inches) high, the crane does not make easy prey, for all that it stands out in its natural habitat of marshes and swamps. When it matures, the Red-crowned Crane is snow white with a patch of red skin on its head. This patch of skin becomes bright red when the crane becomes angry or excited. The heaviest crane on record is a male Red-crowned Crane weighing 15 kg (33 lbs.), although large Sarus Cranes are taller.

Description: Mika is born and bred Japanese. She dropped out of highschool her sophomore year and moved to the city to get away from her family and the countryside. Little is known about her relationship with her parents but her absolute hatred for her sister is referenced on a semi-regular basis.

She works at a ramen stand during the day and uses the money made there to fund some freelance artwork she does in her spare time. She's fairly static in her personality, introverted even, at least the side of it she lets be known to others. In Moko-chan's company; however, she lets her inner artist shine. She's a renowned painter, poet, and musician though she hides behind the pseudonym "kaki" (柿) or "persmimmon" (Moko-chan likes to mess with her and call her Mikaki).

Mika is very timid and has the patience of a saint, though she's difficult to get along with and her humor is both crude and insulting. She drinks, smokes, and loves to watch daytime dramas whenever she ditches work early.

The history of Koi fish is as mysterious as Koi are beautiful. Popular conviction would have us believe that Koi are indigenous to Japan. In fact, they are even mistakenly called "Japanese Goldfish." But Koi history goes back to South China as far as 20 million years ago. It also brings luck and fortune.
Origin: Tokyo, Japan
Description: Never had a home or family. Kuina wandered around Tokyo because her parents abandoned her in a ally when she was born. She learned to take care of herself. Kuina is always scared because she thinks someone will hurt her worse then what her parents did to her.
