SPYWARE ALERT!!!
Do NOT open ANY PMs from ANY admins! At least not for a while. My boyfriend just opened a PM from an admin not even 10 minutes ago and his computer crashed! BEWARE OF ANY PM TITLED "YOU HAVE BEEN BANNED"! But just to be safe, DO NOT open ANY PMs from ANY admins. Upon opening the PM, his avatar took on the shadowed appearance of a Guest User avatar, then a blank screen, then locked him out of his Gaian account. After closing his Internet Browser window, he found a SPYWARE software downloaded onto his computer. A bubble keeps popping up to say that his computer is infected and that he should click the bubble to download software. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT CLICK THAT BUBBLE SHOULD YOU FIND YOUR COMPUTER INFECTED! It will completely install the SPYWARE software and make it not be able to be removed by usual means. ALSO, if you are in SAFE MODE, you will see the SPYWARE software on the TOOLBAR in the form of a red shield that repeatedly flashes to a question mark. After a while, that bubble will pop up. EVEN IN SAFE MODE, DO NOT CLICK THAT BUBBLE OR ANYTHING ELSE PERTAINING TO THE SPYWARE SOFTWARE!!! Doing so will permanently install the SPYWARE software even into your SAFE MODE! If you have this happening to you, or someone you know, automatically locate your computer's SYSTEM RECOVERY DISK, just in case.
