Nienna turned to Feather, "Feather dear, would you like to go through with this test of the mind with the monk?" She looked at the monk, "If she agrees and you hurt her we will tear you limb from limb and not allow you to die for a great deal of time and you will be put through torture beyond belief. Do not test me on this monk."

“I’m with her,” Radergeist lied. If the monk did hurt Nienna the chances of any of them surviving were very small, but in that even he was certainly not going to waste time torturing the man. Nonetheless, if it would help to disconcert him it was worth a try, and it would be safer if they acted in concert before this man, who at any rate acted as if he was an individual of power.
Another part of him wondered if Feather could pass the test set for her. Certainly without his help she would not have survived the last one. But then, this was the best hope they had. They had come so far, and left to herself it would only be a matter of time before the power she wielded mastered her, destroying them all, or else she surrendered to her personal demons, bartering her soul away to keep control of her abilities. This was their only chance.
All the same, he would much prefer to be in another world while she attempted this test.

Feather nodded. "I'll do it. I'm strong like big brother!" the blind girl stated boldly. "I'll be safe! Don't worry!" Feather managed to climb down Radergeist's body and began to stumble toward the monk who didn't seem to have any intention of helping her. Suddenly, she stopped walking, her eyes growing blank and lifeless before her body grew limp and fell to the ground, a cloud of dust forming around her as a result. The Monk smirked as a purple seal below the girl's body glowed, trapping her in her own consciousness, no longer able to have any knowledge of the outside world. The monk then walked over to her and grasped her head in his hands, his eyes closing as he, too, delved into the confusion and chaos that was Feather's mind to test her.

Nienna's eyes narrowed as he grasped her head, "Do not forget you're fate if she comes to any harm, monk!" She closed her eyes because she did not wish to see what was going on in front of her and she hoped it would calm her mind as well.
(( I can't get on much lately either ))

((Sorry, was in Greece for three weeks. Should have warned you.))
Radergeist watched. He was aware of how much hung on this 'test'. If something happened, all would be lost. If not, then they would face the next peril.

[it's fine!]
It seemed hours passed - or was it seconds? - before the seal beneath feather flickered before changing from a light violet to a blood-red crimson that literally began to spill out from the seal in the earth like a wave before it began to swirl around the monk's and Feather's bodies. At first, it seemed like that was all that was going to happen...but then Feather's blind eyes snapped open and, as soon as they did, the monk was thrown from her and into the side of the cabin. Feather rose to her knees without moving her body in anyway and similarly stood, her eyes wide and glowing red with power. After a moment, however, the power died down, her eyes slowly closed half-way, and she found her body beginning to fall to the earth.

Radergeist watched as events unfolded, his mind running in impotent circles. Was feather supposed to defeat the monk? Was that the test? To beat him? Or had he lost control of her completely? Was this supposed to happen? He itched to interfere, but he couldn’t unless she let him, and if he did she would surely forfeit the monk’s test.
She was falling. He tried to catch her in his mind… but his power was gone. He had forgotten. He reached out clumsily with his hands, but she slipped by his fingertips and fell to the earth.

Nienna could sense the rise in energy she opened her eyes to the sight of Feather and the monk surrounded by the crimson red blood that spilled from the seal. She did not looked surprised, confused or concerned until Feather started to fall. Truth be told she was glad when the monk was thrown into the cabin. She watched Radergeist's attempt to catch her and turned to the monk, "Monk? May I go to her now?"

The monk merely stood from the shambles that had once been the wall. Brushing the shards of splinters from his robes, he smiled a sad smile, one that communicated that they had won...but that there were going to be reparations. "You may go to her now," he responded to the vampire.
Feather hit the ground hard, a cloud of dust rising as a meaningless pillow that did nothing to soften the blow. The creature then began to cry weakly. She began to ask over and over again in a different language, a language of another world, possibly the original one that she came from. "Ich'tal...Ich'tal ne..." she said quietly, asking to be held in her native tongue.

Nienna went over to Feather she had no idea what Feather was saying but seeing her like this crying made Nienna feel sad. She took Feather in her arms and held her closely, "It's all right Feather, everything is going to be okay. You did very well, you make a mother proud." A mother proud? What were you thinking, you're NOT her mother..no matter how many times she calls you that, you will NEVER be her mother... Nienna grew a look of sadness on her face as that thought passed through her mind. She looked towards the monk, "What now? Doesn't she get a wristband or something?"

“Did she pass your trial?” asked Radergeist, his tone indicating that he thought the whole business intensely foolish. “Are you satisfied?”
Ich’tal…Ich’tal ne.. It almost sounded like the Bakkal word for holiness or gods, ‘Iztal-Ni’. Probably just a coincidence. He wondered what she meant. Nienna seemed to be comforting her.

[WOAH I AM SO SORRY! i've been so busy with college preparation and stuff!! i'm so sorry!!!]
Feather sobbed weakly, but was glad to be held by her 'mother', trembling in her arms. She wanted so desperately to sleep right now, but her mind hurt so much that she couldn't do anything but sob. The monk looked over at the magician as he asked his question and nodded, holding out a silver upper-arm bracelet in the shape of a serpent and waved it in Radergeist's direction, the object immediately floating to him. "She will regain her memories...but she will likely want to return to her homeworld...beware, if she discovers too much, she may end all existence..." With that, the monk turned and began to repair his little shack.

Nienna sounded shocked, "What do you mean if she learns too much, she may want to end all existence...why should she want to do that?" Feather may want to go home...and then I will be left all alone once more...She looked to Radergeist, "Should we put the bracelet on then?
