Kanth
04.17.05
In Which Kanth meets Chiri, and both eggs are known

"Another Jivvin?!" The brown Jivvin proclaimed, eyes bugging out. "That makes three!"

"I get to have a brother like you, Aisha," The Jivvin with the red hat murmured softly, giving her a shy grin.

"Yeah, well..." Kanth murmured, coloring slightly and rubbing the back of her head while she laughed nervously, trying to think of an excuse. Well... she guessed it was sort of her fault that Moo kept giving her more eggs...

chiri was uttely confused, though that was never a new concept really, as she stared at the building in front of her. Jivvins, huh? Her red eyes glanced down at the egg resting in her arms and then back at the building and then back down again, and we shall repeat that for another five times. So, this was where they came from? Where the woman who had given her the egg worked and/or ran and the like? Okay, that much she could understand, it was just the idea of caring for an egg and why her that confused her - much like most other things. Okay, deep breathe, she was getting paranoid again - again, nothing new.

Gripping the egg tigher, chiri finally reached out and opened the door leading inside. Slipping inside, careful not to smash Mr. Tail in the door.. again, she looked around curiously and cautiosly. "Hello....?" she greeted.

Getting up from the red chair, Kanth blinked as she held her own egg, and then looked at chiri's egg... and then to chiri. She had a headband. A NINJA headband.

So that meant...

"OHMIGOD YOU'RE A NINJA!!" Kanth SCREAMED, joy spreading her face. "I'm not alooooone anymore!!" Setting the egg down in the chair quickly, she TACKLED chiri and hugged her very VERY tightly.

chiri's eyes widened to those of saucers when Kanth finally screamed, though the subject matter went unheard as she too let out a screech - but one of pure terror. She didn't have enough time to react after that, except some protective nature over the egg, gripping it tighter, as the other girl slammed into her and sent them both to the floor.

Paranoia took over finally, causing chiri's eyes to shut tight and her body to shake violently. "I DON'T WANT TO DIE!" she shrieked, kicking her legs and mistaking the hug for some sort of bone crushing move.

"... yeah, Kanth's finally lost it." Aisha shook her head and walked off to a different area of the Center. Rune's eyes widened in a 'wtf moment', and Kanth blinked down at chiri, now sitting next to her.

"Hello? Earth to sand-nin. Jeez, I didn't know you ALL were so paranoid." She waved a hand over Chiri's face.

The red head began to mutter incoheriently as she curled her body around the egg - both for its protection and for her comfort - her eyes remained shut.

And... Kanth blinked. What the heck was wrong with this girl? Getting up, she crossed her arms and stood over her, scowling just slightly. "Oi, sand nin!"

Looming shadow didn't seem to help the situation. chiri finall opened her eyes and blinked upward at Kanth and let out a gasp - a little about seeing the ninja band on her head and also... because she was standing over her. The last time she had encountered a fellow shinobi wasn't... so great and had slightly annoyed her, with the usual touch of fear. Chiri sat up, crossing her legs under her and letting the egg rest in her lap. With eyes still on the woman above, the red head scooted back ever so slowly in hopes of maybe making a break away or something.

"What's wrong with you? You'd think I was trying to maul you or something." Waving a hand, she smirked slightly. "Glad to see you're finally... to your senses. So to speak."

"You could just be saying that, to gain my trust... and then attack me or something." chiri finally spoke, inching back just a tad bit more and some ways off from Kanth. Oh, she was on to her, just like the others!

The konoha ninja sighed, smacking her forehead. She then picked up her egg from the chair, and showed it to chiri. "Look. Why would I attack you when I have my own to worry about?" She also pointed at Rune and Aisha, whom had come back into the room.

Aisha snorted, walking over to chiri and poking her. "She doesn't look like much..." She murmured, with a slight bit of curiosity in her voice.
hikarinomegami: chiri's eyes widened a little more when she saw the egg she was being shown. Hey.. it was kind of like hers... but .. not really at the same time.

Then she was poked which only invoked spazzing reflexes to which one of chiri's arms swung out to smack at the offender, "iiiiya!" She exclaimed, eyes shutting again.

Aisha reeled, letting out a snort, and then turned. "How DARE you hit a Ctarl Ctarl! Why, I oughta-"

"Come ON, Aisha," Muttered Kanth, stepping in between the two and shoving Aisha into another room. "Rune, keep an eye on her."

Rune nodded, and hesitantly trodded into the room with the miffed Aisha.
hikarinomegami: "You attacked fiiiirst~" chiri began, almost whining with her hand still flailing about even though the Jivvin was now obviously gone.

"....." Kanth stared. What was this girl ON? "Hey, are you okay?" She tried again, moving close to chiri. It was then she realized that she probably looked quite menacing with her red eyes, black hair... and scarf. Thinking quick, she tugged her scarf down with one hand, and smiled to make the girl feel easier.

"There. Do I look better now?"

"ara?" chiri's own red eyes finally opened again, hand now stopping with their previous motion. Her own eyes met with Kanth's and an eyebrow raised. "You... didn't look bad before?"
Raine Eternal: "Well, I thought you were freaked out by my appearance, is all." She laughed a small bit, rubbing her head. "But now it's okay, because you seem to be fine now."

"why would I?" This was confusing, well sure.. sometimes appearances of people seemed to startle her, but only if they had weird appendiges and such but most of the time it was just the fact they were other people that scared her. This induced further blinking on chiri's part.

And further blinking and her gaze shifted to the floor and then back to Kanth. "Ano sa... I'm chirigami." For some reason, being as paranoid as she was, giving her name out never struck her as an odd thing to do - well, until much later. But it was done and she completed the greeting with a bow of her head.

"I'm Kanth." She murmured, balancing the egg and reaching out with a hand to shake hers. "Konoha ninja. You're... sand, right?"

"Sand....?" Other eyebrow raised. "... oh! oh, um, no? well, maybe yes.. I liked the village and such." -wait. "You're from Konoha? Like for real?" At that, chiri leaned in forward, eyes wide in amazement. There really was a Konoha and Suna?! How come she never got to find it like she found other places? So unfair!

Kanth blinked. "Yeeeah, I'm from Konoha, alright..." She smirked slightly. "And here I was, thinking you were real... tch. No offense..." Sweatdrop.

chiri's eyes simply just lit up when Kanth confirmed, there was really a Konoha? Her mouth hung upon in a wide grin as she just stared at Kanth. So cool!! She just figured it was some story she read and watched and such, but after all.. some stories have to come from somewhere, right?

"me.. real?" she questioned, out of her delighted gaze for a second. "but.. I'm real..." She poked herself in the side to emphasis the point, obviously missing it in the same sense.

BIG sweatdrop. Okay, take it slow, Kanth. "No, I thought you were a real NINJA." That should be easy to understand, right? "Like, you were actually from the Sand..."

chiri tilted her head to the side, continuing with the usual blinking at Kanth. "But.. I am a ninja..." Was it bad she really wasn't from Sunagakure? That she didn't get the training and schooling they did in the movies and shows and such? Did that really make her not a ninja? Oh, how did her eyes get large and watery.

"but... sensei...." She whispered, words getting lower until unheard.

Oh no! She hadn't meant to make the girl cry! Ahhh, what to do, what to do! "I... uh... here, have some teaandcookies," Kanth murmured, reaching into her packsack and bringing out a plate of cookies, and a whole teapot full of tea, setting them on a table. She brought out two teacups and filled them both.

Ahh, nostalgia. She really needed to go back to the teashop again... but lately, she hadn't had time.

"ooo, cookies..." chiri smiled, as if the last few minutes hadn't happened. It was a good thing for Kanth that chiri could easily be distracted by things, or the red head would have been wailing about how her training had been a lie or something.

"thankies..." chiri said, taking one of the cookies from the plate and began nibbling.

"So..." Kanth murmured, glancing at the eggs again as she sat down, and beckoned for chiri to do the same. "How did you get your egg, and what is it gonna be?"

As she was already sitting down, beckoning didn't need to be done but anywho. chiri's attention went down to her egg as Kanth addressed it. "A lady gave it to me..." she paused, trying to figure out how to exactly explain that. She had totally forgotten the reasons or details since she was busy squeeing over the egg and then later trying to get Suika way from it. "She.. said it was a Jivvin?" One of the few details she got, "And I found this place. What's a Jivvin, was that brown creature a Jivvin? Do you think the Ai kanji means something? And maybe the purpleness?" during her line of seemingly endless questioning, chiri held her egg up before Kanth, showing off the red character.

"Gaara has the kanji of love on his forehead." She muttered as it was in her chain of thought and everything she was thinking was pretty much being sputtered out at this point.

"So... I see. So he's going to be Gaara?" Kanth tilted her head, and smiled. "Yes, both of them were Jivvins. Big, aren't they?" Grinning at her egg, she chuckled. "I have the Kyuubi right here. Naruto," She breathed softly.

"Is it really?" chiri exclaimed, clutching the egg tighter in her hands, eyes once again wide with excitment and the other remarks from the girl totally forgotten.

Resisting the urge to smack her forehead, Kanth took in a deep breath, and counted to ten. "Chiri, did you want anymore tea?" She asked, reaching forward to take her teacup and sip her own.

"oh.. tea?" The red head blinked down at her untouched cup of tea and blinked at it. She wasn't much of a fan of tea, but she was offered it and it'd be rude to not have any. Setting her egg back into the lap she took the cup slowly and eyed the tea for a moment. She picked her head up and smiled at Kanth as she brought the cup to her lips and took a tiny little sip. "mmm..."

Her hand with the cup remained in the air, hovering near her lips as she studied the black haired girl for a moment. "So... it's really going to be Gaara?" How did she miss that when she got the egg? Honestly, when she heard the name she usually always exploded in bits of glee. But maybe her already apparent enthusiasm for even getting the pretty egg and blocked even the mentioning of Gaara to her?

"I don't know for sure. But that's Gaara's symbol. Maybe he's Shuukaku instead... I don't know." Pursing her lips together, Kanth set her teacup down after finishing all of her tea, and sighed.

chiri shuddered from the mentioning of Shuukaku. Oh, how odd it'd be to have that high pitched drama queen around... and her having to take care of it. "Let's hope for Gaara." she chirped, taking another sip of her tea.

"anou saaaa," She began once the cup was from her mouth, "you said you had... Kyuubi?"

Kanth gave her a nod.

"Oh." chiri mouthed, unsure how to continue. She took another sip of her tea, eyes down towards the floor.

"Is there anything else you wanted to know?" Kanth asked, curiosity shining in her eyes.

"Um." Fidget. "So, what exactly are Jivvins? Do they need special things? What if it is Gaara, do you think he'll be all cranky and want to kill me with sand? Should I give him his own room? Would he need walks? Are there tails always that long? Do you think Durem is a safe place to live?" Came a long line of questions from chiri, in a short amount of time. Well, Kanth asked, and chiri was curious.

Insert HUGE sweadrop here. Kanth but on her best smile, and tried her best to answer. "Uhmm.... Jivvins are sort of like dogs or cats, not really being either. Durem is... I don't know. Don't really live there." She racked her brain for the other questions. "And... uh... if he doesn't kill you, I'm sure that's a good sign, right? Just as long as you take care of him..."

"Well the other Gaara...." Okay, that sounded a bit weird even to her. chiri's eyes darted about, trying to find better wording. "the others named and..." No. That sounded..." They have tried to kill me... well except one, but he tries to kill everyone...." Her eyes continued to dart as she absent-mindedly began to chew on her bottomlip.

"Other... Gaara?" This time Kanth raised an eyebrow, folding her arms across the egg. "What do you mean... other Gaara?"

"Um..." chiri's eyes settled upon Kanth again, brain trying its hardest to work and explain this. "I have other pets that look like Gaara or.. have some reference to him." Best to be blunt, na? chiri smiled warmly, as if it was perfectly normal. It was.. wasn't it? Besides, She didn't even think that ninja villages even existed.

Kanth's eyes narrowed. "You have... more than one Gaara?" Just what kind of girl WAS this? Can anyone say... obsession? Coughing, the ninja girl forced a smile. "Well... uh..." She didn't really know WHAT to say, now.

"Only like three..." And add a few more to that actually. It wasn't her fault, people seemed to seek her out more with the Gaara-ness then she went looking for it anywho. Kinda, like this new egg? Or, maybe? Again, she missed a lot of the details as Moo explained the egg to her.

"Three. Three Gaaras." Blinkblink. "How can you stand it...? And why on earth do they try to kill you?" Of course, as soon as she had asked this question, Kanth, unfortunately, already knew the answer. A sigh.

"Yeah, three." chirigami confirmed with a nod. "Well, only one has tried to kill me... but he.. tries to kill everyone." The red head sighed, letting one hand sweep across the new egg in a petting fashion, "My poor Domo were tramatized for a while until that Gaara went to isolate himself out of spite and such. The other two-" plus many others, "are actually kind of calm...."

"Ahhh, I see." She blinked down at the egg. "Haven't you tried to get... other pets that aren't... you know... Gaara? Like, this is my only Naruto." She smiled at her egg, and put her hand over it, feeling the thrum inside. It felt large... and powerful.

Just right for a Kyuubi.

chiri tilted her head to the side, a bit confused. "I have other pets that aren't like Gaara."

"Oh! I didn't know that!" Kanth laughed. "Oh, have you finished your tea?" She took her teacup and put it back in her pouch, then put the teapot in it, nodding approvingly.

chiri's gaze again fell to the floor and gain she found herself chewing on her bottom lip, a bit embarrassed or something. She honestly wasn't sure, it was just a bit awkward.

"Um... I think so..." She mumbled, glancing at her half-drunk tea.

Glancing at chiri's tea as well, Kanth let out a small giggle. "Well, if you didn't like tea, why didn't you say so? Would you like anything else to drink?" Taking the teacup, she drank the rest and stored it in her small packsack at her waist, patting the side.

"MMm, I love my storage in this thing."

Sake?" Kanth grinned mischeviously, bringing out a bottle, and two small cups. "I'll play a game with you..." She set one small cup down in front of chiri, and the other in front of herself. Taking the bottle, she grabbed the cap with her teeth and forced it off, then poured both cups full.

"ooo, I like games!" chiri chirped, her down mood from earlier evaporating in the air.

"Whoever can last the longest without passing out wins." Kanth winked, taking hers and drinking the whole cup, before pouring another. "Your turn."

"Oo! I like this game!" chiri exclaimed, almost releasing her hands to emhasis it with some grand gesture... until she remembered the egg and common sense told her not to. She took the small cup with glee and downed it one fluid motion and held it out before her with a grin.

"Two cups this time," Kanth murmured, getting out quite a few more small cups and filling one with sake, before taking chiri's cup and filling it as well. Putting the two cups before chiri, Kanth put the other empty cups on the far side of the table, where she could retrieve them if need be. "Go." A smile.

"Konpai!" chiri giggled, lifting both cups closer to her before drinking one after the other. As before, she held the two empty cups out towards Kanth.

Mr. Tail swished behind her, if it had eyes.. it'd so roll them.

Kanth blinked, but obliged nonetheless, filling two cups for herself and drinking them. "Three," was murmured, and Kanth took another cup, filling it as well as chiri's two cups that she held out.

chiri simply smiled, as if knowing perfectly well what was going on. It was one of the few things that she actually got, something she had understood right off when her sensei had let her drink, she simply was able to hold her alcohol very very well.

The red head thoughtlessly emptied the two new glasses as what had happened before and then held them out as Kanth drank her own.

This was repeated many many times, with Kanth staring at chiri, at about the twentieth time. Both had had much sake... and Kanth seemed to be holding hers as well.

And chirigami was as chipper as when they had started the lovely game. She simply smiled at Kanth and was impressed at her tolerance to alchohol. Yes, muchly.

Well... Kanth didn't know what to say, so she merely hung her head for a moment, then grinned. Reaching into her packsack, she got out a rather dark bottle, and poured twenty five cups for chiri. This stuff was meant to knock out even one who could hold alcohol... it knocked her out within seconds, and left quite a hangover. "Go on, try it." She gave a mischevious grin. "This is my own mix."

chiri's eyes went to sparkling, it was like a sea of alchohol and it almost surrounded them! It was so pretty to look at. "You own mix? really? I've never tried to make my own." She was frankly not too intelligent to do so, and the world would probably be doomed if she dared to try.

chiri picked up one of the many glasses before her and stared at it for a second, as if it would give her all the answers and all its secrets. She smiled to Kanth and then sipped the drink until the little glass was completely empty. She took a moment, letting her tongue slide across her lips to gage the taste and anything about it. A small hum escaped her as she grabbed another cup without looking down. "It's interesting...." The red head commented upon drinking the second glass.

"Twenty three more to go," Kanth murmured, putting her elbow on the table and leaning against her hand, taking a cup with her free hand and sipping it.

She knew chiri just had to drop sometime...

"The little sea of drinks looked so pretty too..." chiri pouted, taking another glass from the floor. She sighed as she also drank that one, hand already on the next one to repeat the action ... twenty some odd more times.

By this time, chiri was actually beginning to feel a bit of effects from their drinking. She wasn't sure if it were from the sake - which she didn't think it would, even with that much of it and what it was it never did anything to her. So it had to be this drink. It wasn't anything drastic in change, but it was something noticibly different.

"Okay, sleepytime now..." Kanth murmured, giving chiri a grin before... falling out of the chair sideways, cushioning the fall of the egg.

And on the floor she slept, with the egg on her stomach. o_0 What an odd ninja.

"I win!" chiri exclaimed, her hands shooting up in glee. She had a few moments of celebration before she turned towards Kanth and observed her for a moment.

"anoooou, are you alive, Kanth?" She reached over and poked the girl in the shoulder.

"She's completely out," Murmured the brown Jivvin, who had come to the door again and snorted at her keeper. "She can only handle one of those drinks before she passes out and sleeps for about a week or so."

chiri pratically jumped, a small noise escaping her when the new voice came into the room. She stared wide eyed at the Jivvin and blinked big. "Oh...." Was the only intelligent thing she could master at the moment.

"What's wrong? Cat got your tongue?" Aisha smirked, and walked over to Kanth, dragging her on the couch. "Jeez, she really did it this time." Shaking her head, she rolled the egg so that it was held between Kanth's arms, and glanced over to the red Jivvin named Rune.

All Rune could do was sigh.

"I.. you just startled me... it was just the two of for a while.. and suchies." chiri laughed nerviously, clutching her egg tighter in her lap.

"So.. um... she'll be okay?"

"She'll be fine." Aisha murmured, giving chiri a cheeky grin. "She'll just sleep it off for a week or two. Kanth's tough for a ninja."

"But... a week?" chiri was honestly a little worried by this point. She had never heard of anything that could do that, well except some things mentioned in a book... but that was a book. Then again... she was beginning to find some things were somewhat true.

She looked down at the sea of cups still remaining and picked up a filled one and then looked at Aisha again. "Is this stuff really that strong?"

Aisha nodded, laughing now. "You bet it is. I'm surprised you haven't keeled over yet."

chiri laughed nerviously again, closing her eyes. "Well... er... " She scratched the back of her head. "I tend to hold drinks better than most people ....?"

Aisha stared at chiri, before snorting. "Well, if anything, you're more of a coward." Sticking her tongue out, she retreated. "Feel free to stay as long as you like, though I'm not sticking around. There's more fun things to do than hang around here." She smirked, and walked out again.

"Later~"

chiri's head picked up quickly, eyes wide with astonishment. "WHAT?" She exclaimed. Though she was probably the slowest creature ever and dismissed and didn't understand most insults, ones like that that slapped her in the face were something she really didn't like.

She sat, mouth agape as Aisha retreated. And mumbled under her breathe while red eyes narrowed, filled with nothing but disdain.

"Well, goodnight..." Rune murmured softly to chiri, and bowed his head slightly, before retreating after Aisha, but stopping at the door.

"I don't think you're a coward," He murmured with his soft voice, and gave her a small smile before running out.

Tiny little innocent glass became tiny little innocent bits of a glass and seeping liquid in chiri's hand as she continued to fume at the insult. She almost missed Rune's comment when he was almost out the door but showed no reaction to what she heard. She would have said thanks, but yeah, fuming and all.

She took in a deep breathe and wiped the remains of the glass on her shirt before picking up the egg on her lap and got up herself. Yeah, she decided Kanth's Jivvins weren't nice... well, the red one seemed nice. But the brown one! Oh no, chiri no liked her. Chiri bit her bottom lip again, eyes still narrowed when she looked over to Kanth. She'd.. be okay... sleeping wasn't so bad. chiri made a hesitant move, taking a step towards her but pulled back and instead made a step towards the door.

"she'll be okay...." chiri'd come back and check on her. Yeah.

chirigami

05.09.05-ish
in which Gaara hatches...

It was a typical day for chirigami, well, most things were typical. Then again, well, it was chirigami so most random things that could happen within the day could be classified as typical. But, these days, cleaning was beginning to become typical.

And chiri was getting sick of cleaning.

But, then again, there wasn't much left to do besides clean.

Urahara was still currently on his little cruise - chiri was rather proud of herself for getting him on it - and Wheverth'isis wasn't acting up or being weird. The pets residing within the realm were going on their merry ways and those that were in her little apartment in Durem were lazying about in the living room as she scrubbed the kitchen floor - or at least tried to, she kept eying the fridge... it was plotting on falling on her.. she had her suspicions.

So now, scrubbing. Well, now.. she was against the far wall, what stood between her and getting back to the the rest of the house was a clean floor. The red head sighed desperatly, she couldn't just dirty it up again, could she? Then again, the microwave - that was smashed - always had a way to make things unclean. Oh, she knew it was the micowave.. all deeds just screamed its name. But.. clean floor! "This sucks ~" She whined, pushing her upperbody upright as her knees rested on the floor. Behind her, Mr. Tail swished annoyed like, gawd its owner was such a dumbass.

The two occupants in the living room couch couldn't help but feel the same sentiments as the poor devil like tail attached to chirigami's a**. Suika sighed, resting her head against her propped up palm as she lounged on the couch next to Gaara, the Cait. "This is getting ridiculous..."

"Well, it is chirigami...."

"But, you'd think she'd at least grow some common sense or something. Any stupid typical move an idiot can do, she manages to pull it off, five times...."

"... it is chirigami."

"That isn't a logical argument..." Suika huffed.

It was Gaara's turn to sigh, she had a point. Then again, the capra was with their mistress more often then not, so it made sense for her to know a bit more. "So, were you with her when she got that new egg thing?" He questioned, changing the subject.

"No... she just came back with it after you decided to come back. Kind of weird it.. kind of has the same markings as you..." Suika noted, turning her gaze in the dirdction of the subject - the egg, which was currently resting upon the chair adjacent to the couch. Both the creatures on the couch were now visibly urked by it. Gaara more than Suika, the cait.. jsut didn't feel comfortable with yet another being that looked like him. Things were so totally going to get confusing if it were infact another Gaara.

"we're going to need to get numbered off..." He mumbed.

"Hm?"

"nothing..."

"If you say so..." Suika rolled her eyes and pushed herself upward from the couch. After a small stretch, she fluttered over towards the chair to get a better look at the thing. Damn, another thing bigger than her.. it was probably twice her size. Suika scruntched her nose in distaste, taking another step towards it.. and turned to blinking. "Hey, did this always have this large crack here?" She turned to Gaara, pointing at said crack.

"No... then again, I never got a good look at it." Like he'd want to. Irkage.

There was a sharp sound, making Suika suddenly jump back in surprise. And there was another crack, trailing from the one she had spotted. "um..."

Crack

"Umumumu... CHIRI!"

"I'm in a cooorner ~" The red head wailed from behind the bar.

"It's hatching, chiri!"

"but I'm in.. wha? It is?!" Thumping sounds and cracking wood erupted from the kitchen. Then a thud and another wail from chirigami - she fell on the floor as she flew over the counter - and then scrambling. "IT IS!" She squeed, making Suika jump again at the sudden appearance of the red head over the chair. chiri's eyes were enromous to boot, wide eyed and almost hungry like as the egg continued to crack. Pieces of eggshell fell to the couch, bits of moist furr stuck out in random places.

"er..."

"eeee!" chiri squealed, reaching over and pulling the top of the egg shell off the poor creature, helping it along in the hatching process. And there he was, the newest Gaara in chiri's little happy family and horde and army of Gaara. The Jivvin blinked, and took in a deep breathe and then looked up at the ellated red head. chiri simply squealed again, pulling him out and up into the air and stared into his teal eyes.

"You are a Gaara!" chiri chirped. The cait on the couch muttered bitterly.

And the two - chiri and Jivvin - stared at one another for a few more moments.

Okay... now what.

chirigami suddenly realized she had no idea what to do. Sure, she was now on a mission to parent like no other. But... um, how. What was she supposed to do with the sticky newly hatched Gaara Jivvin in her hands? Her eyes narrowed in confusion as Gaara's narrowed in irritation.

"eeeeeee!" Started the long chain of strange noises, as chiri shot out the door and beelined as best she could towards the Jivvin center.

Kanth
05.09.05
In Which Naruto meets Gaara, and Ignorance Ensues

Having seen the egg finally hatch - which in turn was another story to itself - chiri totally freaked out, and in some ways just squeed realizing it was looking like another Gaara. But, more freaked out.

Now what?

To the Jivvin center for her! She had grabbed the new hatchling, who was just so confused, and made a beeline - or what could best be described as a beeline.. or just.. went straight to the center - making a weird sound all the way.

"eeeeeeeeeeee~" Continued the sound as chiri made her way past the door with confused Jivvin in arms, hoping for someone to be there to answer questions. Oh gawd! With new found need to parent things better, she needed to get this right!

Kanth was sitting in the chair with her arms wrapped around the brown Jivvin, squeezing him tight.

"Woman, get OFF of me," He muttered, unsure of this new bit of affection. His eyes were bright orange, and he blinked at her, eyeing her with a bit of both disdain and admiration.

"KANTH!" chiri exclaimed, almost surprised she remembered the other's name. But quickly following her outburst was holding Gaara out like Simba towards the dark haired girl.

"anou sa!" She began, until noticing the brown Jivvin in her arms. Her mouth closed, staring at it as Gaara's attention as well went to the fellow Jivvin. His black rimmed eyes narrowed, unfortunatly, as he was still being held in the weird manner.

"What're YOU lookinat? Huhhuhhuh?" The brown Jivvin muttered, and immediately got a swat from Kanth.

"Be NICE." She muttered, giving a glare at him. He melted, grumbling slightly, and climbed off her lap to land on the floor in an awkward position.

Kanth stood and had to grit her teeth to keep from laughing at chiri; she took the Gaara Jivvin in her arms and smiled at her friend. "That isn't the way to hold him... he probably feels out of place." Shaking her head doubtfully, she hugged Gaara gently, then set him down next to Naruto, crouching beside both of them. "This is Naruto. I assume you're Gaara?" She smiled at the light colored Jivvin.

chiri opened her mouth, but simply couldn't think of anything to say at the brown Jivvin. Her attention shifted from him to Kanth as she picked Gaara from her arms. She knew it wasn't right, but, well.. she wanted to show him to her.. and then.. got utterly confused.

Gaara, on the other hand, tensed slightly; body jolting at the hug. It felt weird, like something he had never really got to experience ever and remained silent as she continued and then placed him next to the loudmouth. His teal eyes remained narrowed as he looked over at the brown one and then up at Kanth. Gaara stared for a moment, meeting her smile with nothing much but a placid expression. He let out a simple huff and then looked upon his red headed owner.

"Un!" chiri supplied, finally finding the ability to speak once again.

Kanth smirked. "Maybe you need a lesson on Jivvins." Grinning widely, she picked up Naruto just a few inches ooff the ground, and wiggled him before setting him back down. "Ears, paws, tail; they resemble dogs-"

"KYUUBI, lady," Naruto growled, turning his bright orange eyes on her and glaring, before she continued.

"And they're very loyal." She nodded enthusiastically, and sat down with her legs outstretched. "Well, some of them. Depends on how you treat them, really, and how their personality is. Naruto here isn't the brightest crayon in the box, and he's a bit hyped up at times, and quite loud. For a ninja boy."

"I'm not a ********' crayon!!!" He yelled, fuming at her.

chiri's eyebrows scruntched together in continued confusion, why was Kanth explaining this to her? She could obviously see all this from just looking at Gaara. Sure, she wasn't the sharpest thing, but she wasn't stupid. "I know..." she mumbled, half whined. But the loyalty part, she hadn't. Fainlly, her red gaze met Gaara's own that had been lingering on her for a while and she broke out in a grin.

Gaara wasn't sure he liked that look, to be honest.

"Respect," Kanth murmured, seriously, gazing into chiri's eyes, "is the best thing that you can give them." Having finished her speech, she nodded, and smiled at Gaara. "I'm Kanth."

Naruto fumed silently.

"I'll keep that in mind.." chiri nodded, still looking at Gaara.

Finding something to hopefully distract him against horrid mental images of what chiri could possibly be plotting, Gaara turned his head to give attention to Kanth once more. He gave a simple nod of his head in acknowledgment and greeting.

"Yo." Kanth waved, obviously not deterred by his attitude. "Naruto, why don't you play with Gaara while we talk?" She shoved him along the floor so that he stood, braced, in front of the other Jivvin.

"....." Naruto pouted.

Oh gawd, now he had to play with the loudmouth? Gaara snorted in displeasure, he was not going to like this.

"Play nice!" chiri chirped - though suddenly paused further action. Could Gaara.. use sand? Hm... oh well, if Naruto was Naruto he could get out of it.

And Gaara simply snorted again and rolled his eyes.

Waving at the two, Kanth invited chiri for tea, then remembered she didn't like tea, and offered something else instead, leading her into the kitchen.

Naruto ignored them. Turning his orange gaze on the other, he snorted. "You don't look very tough." A grin.

chiri let out a small happy squeak as she bounced after Kanth towards the kitchen.

Gaara met the orange gaze with his teal. "Only the weak or overly confident would begin a conversation with something like that." The tan Jivvin muttered under his breath, he couldn't help but roll his eyes once again, there had to be something better to do then converse with this annoying a** - like staring at a wall.

"Finally, he speaks!" Feinting a heart attack, the brown Jivvin staggered before sitting in front of Gaara, smirking. "Wanna go pull some pranks? I know quite a few..."

Eye twitch. Why was the brown annoying thing still talking to him? Gaara's right eye couldn't help but continue the same motion as he just stared at Naruto, his expression just screaming 'you have got to be kidding me.'

"You have something in your eye! Here, lemme get that." Leaning forward, Naruto prodded at Gaara's eye with his paw, then rubbed at the outer line around his eye. It looked like makeup, so it had to be bothering the other Jivvin! Jeez... idly, Naruto wondered why it wouldn't come off.

Kanth didn't wear the stuff, but others in her family did, and he wondered how they could stand to wear it.

Gaara's eye continued to twitch irritably. Now... Naruto was touching him and rubbing his eyes. There was nothing wrong! And he was touching! Without even thinking, Gaara's own paw shot out to smack Naruto's away from his face, "No touch!" The Jivvin growled.

Naruto blinked, and growled. "What's your problem? I was just trying to get that dorky girl makeup off your face." He glared at the other, deterred by the fact he was trying to help, Of all things!

"It's not 'dorky girl makeup'," Gaara growled once more. He scruntched his nose up in digust, they were markings.. but it didn't look like Naruto would know that having have ugly plain brown fur.

"It isn't?" Naruto shuffled his feet, snorting. "It sure looks like it."

Gaara rolled his eyes, "And you would know..." Urge.. to walk away.. rising.

Yeah, I would know." Naruto smirked proudly. "Want me to show you my Sexy no Jutsu?" SMIRK smirk.

"OH good god no." Gaara recoiled in horror, not even realizing he had said that out loud nor even knowing what the hell the jutsu even was. But, I knew it couldn't be good.

"Tch, your loss." Turning his head, he gave Gaara the cold shoulder, his whiskers making him look all the cuter while he pouted.

Gaara wrinkled his nose for a moment and turned the other way, totally not buying that pouty look.

Naruto turned his head and glared at Gaara, obviously annoyed with him having refused his offer. What was the point of being a ninja if you couldn't show off?

Not noticing, nor caring, the other's attention on him once more, Gaara picked himself off the floor and trotted himself towards the couch. It took a bit of work, as he was still small and well, new, but he managed to get himself up on it and laid down.

"Tch, such a wimp." Naruto shook his head, and went off another direction, closing his eyes. This guy was too much; too quiet for his tastes. He hated it, somewhat. At least Kanth talked to him.

In Which Naruto and Gaara grow up, and ...

Glad to be off on his own for once, Naruto basked in the Center, peering into everything he could get his paws (and nose) on. It was true that he was an inquisitive ninja kyuubi, but it was all for a reason.

At least, that's what he liked to believe, anyways. >_>

Though chiri wasn't fond of the idea, Gaara had decided to attempt an outing on his own as well. Well, sort of... it didn't help having an uberly paranoid keeper and all, so he had a somewhat babysitter who wasn't too pleased with the idea herself. So, now he was on an outing.. with Suika resting ontop of his head in boredom.

Well, he was out of the apartment and away from that other Gaara. It was.. really weird seeing something that kind of looked like you and had the exact same name.

But, anywho. The sand colored Jivvin trotted himself into the Center - not explaining how he opened the door - and stopped dead. Oh dammit, that annoying brown one was there again ....

Smelling him before he even came into the room, Naruto turned and glared at Gaara, remembering quite well the last time they had met.

"Gaara." He muttered with disdain, sitting down and staring at him. He still felt the slap across his paw last time he tried to touch Gaara. After all that, he assumed that the other still didn't understand what 'being playful' meant.

Jeez.

Narrowing his eyes possibly further, and making the dark rings around them stand out a bit more with just a sliver of mint green between them, Gaara scruntched his nose, "Naruto...."

Suika, not taking any hints of resentment of the two or just not caring and going into her sardonic mood, simply grinned at the interaction. "Aaa! who is this, Gaara number .. two?" She was unsure of the number really, but being as there were two Gaara in the household and he were the younger, two made sense. "Old friend? Bitter angst ex-lover? Or maybe something more?" She cooed, flapping her green wings once as she rested on the Jivvin's head.

" ... lover?! Just what the hell are you implying?!" Naruto shouted in an outburst, eyes bugging out. "I would never want to be with the likes of you." He snorted at Gaara, then turned away. Right, like he'd be with another male Jivvin.

Suika's eyes widened with glee. Oh, he was a fun one! This outing was so much more fun then she'd even ever had with just chirigami, never did she get such a reaction with someone, chiri was so dull! "Oh!" She cooed again, louder and pushed herself up higher and allowed her wings to extend - so now.. it looks rather amusing to see green wings on top of Gaara's head. "Oh, with a reaction like that, he's so playing hard to get!"

Gaara.. just stood there... mortified. Eyes wide, mouth cluntched shut... face trying to remain stoic as he usually was but it was so hard with a loud humanoid goat creature on ones head trying to insist about a relationship with someone you disposed. "... shut up, Suika..."

"I'll play hard to get, come here!" He growled, lunging forward with both of his paws to knock her off and beat her around some.

Kyuubi wanted to have some fun, after all.

Suika yelped seeing the brown creature suddenly take a dive at her. With the quickest reflexes she could muster, she fluttered up from his reach before he could actually tackle her but unfortunatly he did manage to get a piece of her and send her flying backwards. "aaaiieee!"

As for Gaara, well, Naruto was aiming for his head where the Capra was. And most unfortunatly for him, he took the brunt of the other Jivvin's lunging attack and was sent on his back. "uf!"

Well, missing Suika was entirely NOT his point, and he found himself on top of Gaara, growling as he shook his head. Kyuubi wasn't satisfied, and neither was he. Opening his eyes, he found them staring point blank into Gaara's, his nose just inches away from his rival's.

Again, trying to keep that same stoic composure from before, Gaara couldn't help but stare bug eyed as he now found Naruto on top of him. He was totally just shellshocked right now, brain not functioning as .. he just stared into the other Jivvin's redish eyes.

Suika, finally getting control of her flight, hovered in the air some feet away from them. Eyes lit up again, as if stars were going to dance around .. and if the most awesome amount of food now lay before her. She squeed, she stared. "doooo iiiiit!" She taunted.

Gaara twitched from that and twitched some more.

Tails flicking back and forth, Naruto turned his head, and smiled. It was almost if something were possessing him; his voice sounded darker. His eyes shifted to Gaara's throat, and he stared at it for a moment, as if he were playing with his prey.

"Now, what do we have here... will we hear a little begging, or shall I just go for it?" All of his fangs were showing, now.

Gaara's eyes widened further for a moment, caught in surprise of the change in the other Jivvin. What the hell? those mint green eyes now narrowed, irritated and uncomfortable to say the least.

With a free paw, he pushed it forward as hard as he could against Naruto's chest. "Gah! Get off you perverted freak!"

Shoving back, the brown Jivvin snarled and leaped aside, going for Gaara again. "Pervert? I think you're mistaken; I want your soul..." He grinned ferally again, until he felt a bite on one of his tails. Stopping and turning, he paused when he saw who it was.

"Naruto, calm down. Don't let him take over." A blue sprite murmured, tilting his head and letting go, glancing to Gaara. Naruto shook his head, closing his eyes and opening them again; they had regained their orange color.

"What..." Naruto muttered, sulking slightly and slumping to lie down, his ears forced back against his skull.

Gaara... was confused, that was putting it lightly. Sure, he generally pretty good with figuring things out quickly but this was really beyond him. Not to mention that little blue thing. It looked kind of like a Jivvin but.. not. "er..." He articulated rather well, while pulling himself upright and scotting a bit away from Naruto.

Suika simply blinked, dumbfounded. She had honestly expected it to be awkward for them, for them to push each other off and then fight and bicker, not what Brown just did and especially not what he proclaimed he was going to do. Taking a paranoid move from chirigami, she hovered closer to Gaara, staring and eyeing Naruto.

Turning to glare at Konohamaru, then at Gaara, Naruto lunged up and ran out the door, growling to himself; not only now did his rival know his secret, but Konohamaru had basically told him, of all things!

Konohamaru sighed as he watched Naruto practically tear down the doors as he lunged out, then turned to Gaara. "Any questions you want to know? You look a bit confused, even with that stoic face." Smiling just slightly, the blue sprite closed his eyes. It seemed he was good at guessing emotions.

Silence. Watching. Wondering....

"Yeah, I think its fairly obvious on the main question I'll be asking you." Gaara suddenly replied with a sigh after a few moments as Naruto ran past them and out the door.

But before Gaara could open his mouth, Suika buzzed over to get all up in Konohamaru's face. "Just what was he going to do with Gaara?" She began, huffing and crossing her arms with narrowed overprotective parentlike eyes. "What the hell was that? What the hell are you?"

Indignified, the sprite drew back. "I'm Konohamaru, I'll have you know." Smirking, he shoved his face in Suika's. "I'm a sprite Jivvin, smaller than the regular Jivvins. And that, was Kyuubi, about to rip out Gaara's heart. You're lucky you weren't in the way." His grin grew wider, and he gave her the onslaught of questions now. "What are you? What's your name, where are you from, why are you a goat thing, and why do you tag along with a Jivvin?" His eyes narrowed cleverly.

Suika's eyes narrowed further, she puffed her chest up. "I'm asking the questions here!" And huffed again, call it a Napoleon complex .. she was smaller then most things after all. "Capra. Suika, eater of all things. From another planet from space. Because thats how my species is. And because chirigami made me come with him." Another huff. "What the hell is Kyuubi?"

Gaara blinked in surprise. Kyuubi?

"Language!" Konohamaru put a paw on her nose, and glanced at Gaara. "Kyuubi is a demon, inside of Naruto."

"Bah!" She swatted at the paw with her open hand, "get that thing away from me!" And scruntched her nose in disgust.

"So, he has Kyuubi in him still..." Gaara muttered, almost dazed and as if remembering something.

"Still?" Konohamaru blinked, tilting his head. "And I am not a thing." The blue sprite stuck his tongue out at Suika.

Blinking again, Gaara shook his head and stared at Konohamaru confused. "Huh?"

Suika boiled over, fuming and balling her fists. Urge to eat him, rising.

"You're the confusing one," Konohamaru pointed out, then narrowed his eyes at Suika. "What's wrong, cat got your tongue?"

Gaara snorted, yes he was confused but he wasn't in the mood to admit it. He had been almost molested by another Jivvin after all and was now being more confused by some little blue thing.

"Oh, don't you be going there!" Suika fumed some more, throwing her hands out to push the sprite, "let's see how you act when you're being tested in some of my dipping sauces!"

Leaping back, the blue sprite leapt on Suika, wings fluttering to give him air leverage. "Dipping sauces? Nononoo, I'm afraid I'm not very edible!"

"Like I care!" Continued huffing from even before as Suika fluttered closer and closer to him again. After all, she had eaten rocks and parts of someone's house before.

Putting his paw up, he punted her in the nose again. "Go away, I don't wanna be food!!" He cried, glaring at her and opening his mouth.

"oooow!" Suika whined, stopping dead in her tracks while holding her nose. "stupip hiiin!"

Gaara, unamused with the antics of the other two, turned his head towards the door and made a heated decision inside his head. With a great sigh, he got up from his place on the floor and slipped out... for some reason feeling the need to find that dumbass Jivvin and talk to him.

Sitting outside of the Jivvin Center, Naruto sat with his four tails waving, as if the air were blowing them around. Hiis paws were pressed close together, and he stared at the ground they were on, his ears still folded back, though not as much as before.

He heard Gaara as he walked out of the Center, and thanked Aisha silently for being the way that she was; Jivvins did indeed have superb hearing, but some hardly ever used it.

Not being one to be incredbily social and know the best ways to really approach and engage in conversation. Gaara found himself sitting himself down some feet away from Naruto, wrapping his single tail around his paws. His eyes drifted to the ground for a moment, unease and wonder at why he was even there, overcoming him.

How the hell did people start conversations, especially something like this. Gaara coughed, eyes darting to Naruto for a moment and then back to the ground.

"So now you know." Naruto looked away, fixing his jaws together so he wouldn't speak anymore. He was angry at Konohamaru, yes, but Gaara would have found out sooner or later anyway.

It wasn't like he could control Kyuubi all of the time, more like most of the time, and even less considering he was now a Jivvin, a fox-like beast with four tails nonetheless, bordering on nine.

From Naruto's somewhat distressed reply, Gaara could only give the only response he seemed would fit. His eyes slide closed and he shrugged, making a small noise as he really didn't care.

"Would have liked to know earlier... I guess, before it decided to 'eat my soul' as your demon so elliquently put it."

In Which Gaara and Naruto have another encounter .. which doesn't end well.

"I don't suppose an apology would do," Kanth murmured, snapping her jaws together and closing her mouth as she glanced away from Naruto, slightly put out.

It was her fault that she had jumped to conclusions and disowned Naruto for killing her family, only to find out it hadn't been him at all. And he tried to defend himself, but... it just didn't turn out that way, because she didn't see the truth before.

"Just because I forgive you doesn't mean I have to talk to you," Muttered Naruto, who leaped up and stalked out of the Center, whiskers twitching in disapproval.

Freedom, sweet wonderful freedom. Well, almost, but close enough. It seemed like forever since the tan Jivvin had been out of the apartment or the realm - as chiri was rather not fond of snow and thought Gaara might get cold or something and other family matters were being attended to, which hindered any chances to escape.

And not to mention, the poor Jivvin was still trying to not feel too irked at seeing all the other Gaara that chirigami had compiled within her realm. It was creepy, the Jivvin shuddered again. Sure, the two sane members of the household had explained things to him.. but seeing so many was just unsettling.

"So, where are we going?" Gaara's usual outing companion questioned from atop his head, wrapping her little scarf around her further. Damn cold... Gaara didn't mind the cold but Suika did.

"Dunno, just walking for now. It's just nice to be in fresh air for once..." The Jivvin rolled his eyes as the goat creature chattered her teeth, complaints continued to spit out of her. "You can always use my scarf... not like I need it..."

Suika huffed, before turning her head to eye the simple red and black scarf that was wrapped neatly around his neck. hm...

Feeling the chill of the cold, Naruto hunkered down on the ground for a moment, his tails swishing back and forth as he thought, eyes briefly closing.

It was then that he heard the footsteps.

Digging into the earth, he soon covered himself, glad that he was a rich brown color so as to blend in, his eyes not even showing.

He could still see, however, and waited for the 'intruder' to show themselves.

"Stop walking so fast! You're making a draft!" Suika shuddered, rubbing her hands together to get warmth. The complaints continued as Gaara continued blissfully walking through the remaining patches of snow, and of course towards the direction that Naruto was attempting to hide.

The Jivvin's nose wrinkled slightly, catching something familiar ... so familiar, but at the same time not. What he could recall from it was on the tip of his tongue, but being holed up for as long as he was a lot names and scents were sure to be misplaced. He shook his head lightly - getting some rants from Suika for causing cold wind and continued on

Moving up slightly, Naruto let out a sigh as he saw it was only Gaara. Sure, they had their differences, but Gaara was one who he really admired.

But, of course, Naruto would never admit that.

"Haven't seen you for a while," Murmured the brown Jivvin, whom shook the dirt and leaves off of himself. "Been hiding under a rock?"

Gaara stopped midstep, mint green eyes narrowing slightly upon finally noticing Naruto. So, that's what that smell was....

.. but of course, Suika was the first to speak. A small squeal came out of her as she propped herself up. "Why! Isn't it the long lost lover, look he's returned to you Gaa-chan, daaw!" The goat creature chirped happily, her bright wings fluttering behind her.

Gaara's eyes narrowed further with his ears dipping lower. And oh did that tail flick slightly, how tempted he was to flick that evil little creature off his head and into the snow that she so hated.

"It's good to see you," Naruto murmured, glancing away for a moment.

"...I've been disowned."

Aaw, this was no fun, Suika huffed. No reaction from the brown jivvin this time and it wasn't like she cared about his problems anywho. The little red goat creature rolled her blue eyes as she huffed a second time and went to playing with strands of Gaara's red hair.

Gaara's glare flattened into a dull expression, almost tempted to complete it with an eye roll. "How'd you manage that?" He questioned in a rather uncaring and void of all emotion manner, was really to carry on the conversation.

"I was accused of murdering humans." Naruto murmured with a sly grin, his eyes glowing a fierce yellow for a brief moment. "Of course... I haven't been around for a while, and I do have my bloodthirsty moments, but ... not with humans."

Reaching up, he bent down an ear and rubbed at it vigorously with his paw.

...

"wonder where they got that idea..." Gaara snorted, finally adding in an eyeroll. His own ears twitched slightly, eyes - upon completing rotation - came to rest on Naruto ... just watching with a bored expression.

Naruto full out glared, his fur rising to an alarming stance.

"Are you always this sarcastic? Do you not care one whit of what happens around you? You're so sheltered it's pitiful."

"I think you ruffled his feathers, Gaa-chan ~" Suika giggled, once again taking an interest in the situation. She eyed Naruto's rising fur with keen blue eyes and began making a popping noise with her mouth.

"Been taking lessons, it does get rather boring when you're as 'sheltered' as I am .. so do the best I can with what I've got." Gaara smirked somewhat, his eyes closing somewhat with the dark rings making it look a bit evil than it should. "and why do you ask? Got any better news I should care about?"

"I think the cait has been rubbing off on you Gaa-chan." Suika sighed before continuing with the popping noises.

Rushing up, Naruto swiped at that stupid goat creature, popping it into the ground with slight satisfaction, before he turned on Gaara, staring eye to eye.

"Perhaps. Perhaps.... not..."

Suika squeaked as the paw came at her and managed to make contact before she could attempt an escape. With a small spin she fell to the ground and into a cold patch of snow, causing yet another squeak. Cold! "Someone has a temper~" She glared, trying to keep her cool as she jumped back up to her feet. How dare he! She huffed, swinging the end of her scarf behind her.

Gaara's eyes narrowed further, this time with menace behind them as the fur at the back of his neck rose. His tail flicked violently, just glaring and meeting Naruto in the eye. "I see, immature to play games and resort to violent courses of action. Then perhaps I don't give a rat's a** what news I hear from you, probably will be twisted in lies."

No one touched his family, even if he wasn't fond with most aspects of them.

He stared for a few seconds before turning his attention to Suika. "Let's go.. we're wasting a beautiful day with being here." He flicked his head to the side, taking a few steps past the disgruntled Jivvin as the Capra blinked between the two and fluttered to the air after.

"You two would have made such a cute couple ~" She winked at Naruto.

"BITE ME." Naruto growled at the Capra, teeth bared.

"Going so soon?" Murmured a cool voice, and a red Jivvin stepped in front of Gaara, towering over him by quite a few feet. "I wouldn't leave so fast if I were you. He's the most needy out of all of us, though he doesn't look it."

"And, you bite your tongue, sweet thing. You aren't helping a bit," He smirked, staring straight at the Capra.

"Oh, you really wouldn't want me to." Suika stuck her tongue out as she turned her head and attention back to Naruto in mid-air. She hovered, green wings flapping as the red Jivvin came into the scene. Great, another one...

"Yes, I do say I am..." Gaara's day was just getting better. He was finally out and now he was somewhat pissed off. "And I really don't care..." Taking no time to even stop to respond, he continued past the taller Jivvin.

Suika, however, after a moment of hovering, took it upon herself to flutter towards the newcomer. "Oh, I wasn't?" She faked a cute pout, finger to her lips and everything.

No, you weren't," Murmured Rune affectionately, always having a way with the ladies.

Somehow he figured that Gaara wouldn't leave without this cutie.

"But you are a rather cute thing." Flicking one of his ears, he leaned up to nudge her gently with his nose, giving a small laugh. "Furry, too."

"Oh, I'm sorry, but I really did think they would be adorable together~ " Suika fluttered her eyelashes until he nudged her with his nose. - wait, wtf?

"Uh. Oh .. oh, why thank you kind, Sir." She forced a cute smile and another flutter of them eyelashes, unsure what to do. Was.. he hitting on her? "You're quite a catch yourself." Mentally she somewhat blanched as she gave him a wink.

Gaara, still in ear shot, twitched uneasily. "Suika...." He muttered, really not wanting to turn around and fetch her.

Seeming to sense this, Rune backed off, giving a smile. "Perhaps you'd best tend to Gaara, as you truly don't mean that." His eyes twinkled in slight mischief as he took a step back, glancing to Gaara.

"You really should try again." Rune then shut his mouth, giving a small but very fine smirk.

"Oh, are you sure, sugar?" Her eyes big and girly as another mock pout spread on her face. - Gaara snorted in the distance.

She reached out, hand gently on his nose. "Though, I don't think we'd ever work out.. we're just so different, from different worlds -" literally, "- perhaps we can remain friends though." With that she giggled and spun slowly in the air. Oh, these guys were so much fun.

"Catch you later, tiger." Another giggle and a wink as the Capra fluttered over towards Gaara.

sometime in september 2oo6
In Which Gaara meets a few new people... and yeah, Naruto showed up too...

[ I compiled it.. I'm going to freakin' post it xD;
... even though months late *cough* <<; ]

Ambar tugged impatiently on the edge of Trelweny's sash. The young jivvin ust wanted to meet more of its kind but would not leave her bond Theron behind. That meant her bond's mother must come to. [Hurry! Come on!] She whined pitifully from her throat. Laughing, the two year old human grabbed his mother's hand as well, dragging her along urgently. "Do! Do!"

The young woman laughed. "Okay, okay! I'm coming!"

She could see the dingy-looking Center ahead. Last time they had met other usts like Ambar. Would they meet someone else this time?

It had been a while since the sand colored Jivvin had been to the headquarters, much less anywhere for that matter besides the small park near Durem or chiri's realm. So, it was rather refreshing that he managed to get away from his strange keeper for just a few hours and maybe meet some others of his own kind - and half heartedly hoping that Naruto wouldn't be around either, annoying brown thing he was - as she found other things to occupy her time.

Would have been nicer too if he were alone, but as usual, Gaara found himself with Suika on the top of his head nibbling on the ends of his reddish hair. He sighed loudly as he finally managed through the doors, the thing had regressed and wasn't as annoying and talkative - aside from airbound and humanoid - but that didn't stop her appetite.

The toddler heard the noise of a door moving first. "Am-ba! Am-ba! Do-oor!" He cried happily, still tugging on his mothers hand. The ust turned her attention to the door and ran ahead after getting a 'go on' motion from her young bond. Even young she was still faster than the humans.

[Hello?] She barked tentatively, opening the door with her nose. [Ambar says hello. Brings her hu-man & his dam to play.]

Picking her son up, Trelweny hurried down the path to catch up with the jivvin before she disappeared into the shop without them.

Gaara's ears twitched slightly upon hearing barking calls coming closer and then once inside the headquarters. He turned his mint green dark rimmed eyes towards the noise, acknowledging the young Jivvin that had come through the door.

"Hello," He greeted, forcing a small smile as he was really not used to the gesture and nodded to the inbound humans as well. The little goat creature on his head lifted her head and bleeted before returning to nibbling on hair.

"Hello!" A breathless Trelweny responded, holding the door open the rest of the way for Ambar & permitting her son to wriggle to the floor. Glancing at the creature on the adult Jivvin's head she smiled in relief. "Another creature! Oh good! I was afraid I was doing wrong by Ambar having her home with our family of mixed species so often instead of around her own kind."

Ambar bounded over to circle the feet of her kin playfully. Clapping & laughing, the toddler ran almost as if dancing to join her. The young human woman's hands went to her mouth in shame & surprise. "I apologize! Where are my manners? I'm Trelweny. Ambar bonded to my son Theron." A sheepish look crossed over her face. "I don't suppose she happened to introduce herself? I left my translator at home & can't understand her myself."

[Trel-good! Lets Ambar & Ther-ron play! Much fun!] The ust yipped happily, touching the tip of her tail to Theron's nose & making the child laugh.

Gaara lifted his gaze in the direction of the nibbling Capra, who chirped angerly at his sudden movement, "No.. nothing really wrong with the mixing of creatures..." He responded, though inwardly sighed and shuddered at the thought of the other 'Gaara inspired' creatures chirigami homed. Now, that was something wrong, utterly wrong.

But the shudder, though suttle and more of a twitch, surfaced as the two young ones began to circle at his feet. Great. Children. Something else he wasn't very used to and really not the fondest of - of those little beasts in the park! and chiri was expecting two to be coming out of a rock. nightmares abound. The tan Jivvin flicked his tail slightly, eyeing the younger and the human child.

"Gaara," He simply stated after a few moments of eyeing them, "And that would be Suika up there. My bond is chirigami, though she is rarely out and about..."

The human perceived his displeasure at the young ones' antics & brought cookies out of her bag to entice them over. "Coo-coo!" The little boy cried happily, followed by Ambar's happy yips. [Chewy-yums! Yea!] The ploy worked like a charm & she smiled as the two ran over to her.

At the familiar name her smile brightened. "Chirigami?! Oh! I think I saw her before my son was born." A cloud crossed her face at the thought that immediately followed and before Timex passed away... She tried to brush it aside as she always did with a casual shake of her head which sent her long blonde braid flying. "If I remember right, it was around the headquarters for kyunru & kunkuns... long before one of either joined my family." She was reminiscing a little. "It was only Timex, the housecats, Locke, Shippou & I back then. Times sure have changed."

She gave a little sigh at the memory then smiled as if nothing was wrong. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Gaara & Suika."

[Good meet Gaa-ra!] Ambar piped up. Beside her Theron waved a chocolate chip cookie smudged hand in friendly greeting.

Gaara was taken by surprise from her reaction of his spazz of a bond's name, though only expressing it with a simple eyebrow raise. "So, chiri can be social..." he had always taken her as a hermit or perhaps it was as this woman said, times have changed. "So they seem to...." He half chuckled, wrapping his long tail around his feet.

"And it is all mine, " He bowed his head to the trio - getting an uphappy squeak from the Capra as she tumbled off and onto the tail that had just been moved.

"And it is very nice meeting you too Ambar," ignoring the angry rants from the goat, "it is rare that I get to meet others of my kind." Even if she was really young and filled with energy as the little boy beside her. "So, what brings you all here?" Might as well continue with the small talk, as he continued to block out the squabbling high pitched voice of his companion.

[Kin meet! Kin meet!] The ust answered happily, long tail wagging as she gazed with adoration at her elder. Unaware that the jivvin had answered already, Trelweny repeated Ambar in her own way. "I was hoping to meet other Jivvins, such as yourself. More for Ambar than for Theron or I. She does not wonder far from him, & I don't like the idea of the two of them far from supervision until Ambar at least is quite a bit older."

She gave the stoic Jivvin a thoughtful look; as if pondering whether or not it was prudent to ask the same of him. "Any particular reason we were lucky enough to run into you here today?"

Trelweny had a suspicion that Chiri was not the only one in her 'family' that was apt to be less 'social' of late. She wondered about Gaara's comment about one she considered her friend, but could say little about it. After all, she had disappeared for quite some time after Timex's death herself. Sometimes, things just happened. People changed... but that did not stop her worrying.

"An obvsious decision, especially for one so young." He chuckled as the two had most likely repeated themselves, though he himself was unaware. "I'm sure she'll grow to be a fine companion for him, though."

Gaara's gaze moved upward in thought over her question, there really wasn't much of a reason except, "Just to get out of the house, so not really anything special really." Hoping that was a good enough response, as he too was not one of being terribly social - this probably was one of the longest conversations he had had in days. The jivvin was one of few words and honestly didn't know where to continue to. Weather? No, too lame... geez, conversing was hard.

Suika, on the other hand, after getting herself cooled from her fall had finally taken notice to the cookies in the young pair's possession and stared at them longingly with large blue eyes.

She nodded at his response. Sometimes getting out of the house was the only reason to be anywhere. Certainly it often was for her. Trelweny felt the little goat-creature's eyes on them about the same time the child felt secure enough in his cookies to share. She held out a cookie but Theron took it from her, heading over to Suika with a crooked little smile.

"Tai. Tai." He said, thrusting the cookie in offering with one hand while waving with the other that it was indeed for the small creature. Ambar nodded, eating her own cookie. [Share good.] Then, as if realizing she was not sharing Ambar ducked her head to grab an uneaten cookie to take to Gaara. Seeing this, Theron's smile widened.

The young mother was already beaming with pride at how well her son shared. "I've very glad they bonded. They learn well together & from each other, & need each other far more than I would need such a bond myself. Fate certainly has a way of working out for the best, I suppose." She was still trying to figure out the good from Timex's passing. Perhaps it simply had not been enough time yet.

[Ambar & Ter-ron bond good] The ust nodded. As if knowing her mind already the boy-child joined in... although likely he was just having fun with a new game.

Just one? Suika scrowled for a moment, staring at the offering from the small child. Did they not know who she was?! Taking in a big breathe, the little Capra bleeted in thanks and took the cookie from the child with her mouth - oh how she missed her hands. The cookie was so small too. weep.

Gaara rolled his eyes at his companions antics, knowing full well their generosity was not fulfilling her. Well, at least they were sharing a cookie with her... or then, he didn't want to think of what the goat was still capable of.

"Fate..." He muttered, having stopped short of his original thought on the subject. It certainly did work in mysterious and odd ways, though. "Sometimes you have to wonder if its on crack at times..." He always questioned it, half believe it in himself; while his own bond believed in it to an extent.

He wasn't going to continue to touch the issue of bonds, though, as he was a bit fuzzy on the whole thing after all. Sure, he was bonded to chirigami, but at times it really didn't feel like it... weren't his kind to protect? He just felt like room mate, not really even a pet, but one that chiri loved to baby and that fit with the whole character obsession she had. Repressing a shudder, his attention then turned to Ambar, "Thank you, but I'm not really one for sweets. You can give it to Suika if you want..."

The sienna & brown tipped tail drooped ever so slightly at her elder's rejection of the offering but Ambar quickly got over it as she offered said confectionary to the pink goat thing. Theron clapped beside her then rn to Trelweny for another. "You've had enough, love." She chastised lightly. The child pouted, pointing at Suika. "For her? I suppose so then."

Taking the treat with delight, Theron ran back over to offer the cookie -fully intending that this time he would pet the creature as well. He crooked his free arm around his bond's neck as much for touch as for balance.

Trelweny was giggling softly both at the sight & Gaara's words -though the later made the giggle a little odd. "I've often thought that myself! That Fate must be smoking crack-rock!" She covered her mouth as she dissolved into giggles. "There doesn't seem to be any other explanation for some things, does there? Or maybe we're just too close to see the Grand Design."

Gaara watched the human woman in her fit of giggles with a rather stoic expression with one eyebrow raised with interest over her reaction. Well, it was a funny notion, he did admit, but didn't think it was that funny. Or maybe she knew of something he didn't? "Perhaps," He nodded his head, "And if we did see it, then life wouldn't be so interesting... or so chirigami would probably say." To that he let out a small chuckle and shifted his weight some; and attempted to flick his tail, only to still feel the Capra occupying the spot she had landed on.

Oh! Now this monkey creature was getting it! More cookies, must to the delight of the Capra. Her bright blue eyes sparkled, her little tail swishing as the little boy came with another as she continued to nibble on the one from Ambar.

Seeing how happy the creature was Theron laughed with delight. He held out the cookie, leaving his hand there for Suika to sniff as his mother had taught him to do with all furred creatures. Normally. Creatures like Aiden who spoke & walked on two legs were different, the child had learned. But then, the fae Audio was almost like a father-figure or babysitter to the lad as often as he helped in the child's care. He waited with surprising patience for one so young, dark eyes glimmering happily.

Trelweny neither knew nor would care how silly she might look. She had practically stopped caring of such things after Timex, deciding she might as well enjoy what things she could. "She'd be right too, I dare say." Trel smiled sadly, coming down from her giggles.

Oh, how splendid these cookies were, Suika just beamed. The pink goat reached out for the newest cookie, intent on stuffing it in her mouth, but stopped midway and stared at the boy's hand. Was he also offering this as food? How how delightful! It had been a while, well ever really, since she had eaten anything living - well.. except foods that were from living creatures, but nothing still living. The Capra clearly didn't understand what the hand signified, as she wasn't actually treated like a pet or wild creature and there for not really petted except on random occassion when chiri was in the mood - but she was certanily never offered a hand to sniff and get comfortable with.

"Somewhat scary when she is, but one cannot dwell in what could be, could haves or should be's. That at least I agree with her." Though, he often wondered why he never did take attempts to cease the day and enjoy himself. Maybe he had picked up too much of the lazy nature from the Cait.

Letting out a small sigh, the Jivvin reached out a front paw and planted a single digit upon the top of the Capra's head, hindering her from any further movement, and left her like a gaping fish or pirana. He pulled her back easily, stopping her from her attempt to delimb the poor boy because of her appetite.

Neither Theron nor his mother had any prior dealings with capricans nor could they know anything of Suika's appetite. However, seeing the Jivvin touch the smaller creature Theron felt it was safe to do so as well. After all, he had followed how his mother taught him. Very gently he stroked the caprican's pink furred shoulder & smiled with delight. Ambar barked a happy chorus to her bond's pleasure. [Is good! New friend make!]

Although Trelweny carefully watched her offspring & the young ust, her thoughts were worlds away on Gaara's words. She had been dwelling in what could have been... what should have been... what never would be now that Timex was gone. Part of her still hoped for the magical fairy-tale... that somehow, someway he could come back to them & their family would be complete once more. She knew it was impossible... but then she had always dreamed impossible dreams. And when Timex filled hers, she never expected them to crumble from beneath her. She sighed.

"How easy it is to say that... how easily I can get my head to agree. But it's a bit harder to implement day to day. For me."

"Ro, leave the flowers alone, they didn't do anything to hurt you," came a voice from outside the door of the Jivvin Center. "Well, now, don't-...fine, take ONE daffodil, that's it!" With an irritated sigh, Aerith opened the door and walked in, clearly annoyed. What followed her was a white-blue blur that quickly zipped under the couch. "Ro, get out from under the-...oh, sorry, didn't know anyone was here," Aerith said, smiling sheepishly at the small crowd currently occupying HQ. She shut the door with her tail and quickly scanned them over, her eyes alighting on the small Jivvin pup.

"Hey there, little one," she said, folding her large wings as not to frighten the young Jivvin. She lowered herself flat on her stomach and crawled towards Ambar. "What's your name?" she said, beaming. It didn't really matter to her that she was a stranger - she acted on how she felt. Meanwhile from beneath the couch there was a low, giggle/gurgle noise, while a few torn petals floated out from beneath the dust ruffle.

"Er..." He began, questioning the thought process of the small boy who seemed oblivious to the nice little pirana imitation that Suika was still going through even with Gaara's paw in place. He didn't press the matter, seeing as Suika really probably couldn't do anything except keep snapping at him - totally denying the fact she was enjoying the stroking of her fur, it felt nice - and he couldn't be blamed if he actually got bitten, the boy was the one to take the chance in the first place.

Gaara studied the woman again, eyeing her with his same bored expression. So, something seemed to be up with the way she was expressing herself andher words, "Well, you either keep the idea and get on with your life or you just dwell on everything and watch life pass you by." Oh, how he could actually take his own words to heart; though he honestly didn't dwell on things... he just let life pass him by most often than not.

- what the...

Gaara's eyes widened in slightly surprise as a blue went past the small group and under the couch. His ears perked up slightly at the sounds that now resided there but his eyes remained on the new female Jivvin that was addressing Ambar, studying her as he did with everyone new.

Ambar barked happily at the newcomer. [Ambar me! & This Ter-ron] Neither were particularly frightened, though the human child lost his interest in the standing still caprican to chase after the moving blur that had darted under the couch. "I go! I go!"

Trel blinked. "Ah.. no problem." Then she smiled. "When you're out of the house... it's hard to let life pass you by." It was said in response to Gaara, but it was also for anyone. "Not that my family dosn't keep me on my toes!"

"Oh no, not you," Muttered a gruff voice, and a roll of the eyes to go along with the statement. In the doors stood the brown Jivvin that Gaara had thought of earlier, whom did in fact go by the name of 'Naruto'. Soon another walked in, and Naruto received a ruffling of the fur right on his head; a spot he rather hated to be touched.

"That's not a very nice way to greet others," Murmured the red, who glanced over to Gaara with slight interest. His red hat slipped down haphazardly over an eye.

Aerith smiled down at the young Jivvin, playfully batting his ear. She was still pretty much a big kid, especially around young Jivvins. "Nice to meet you, Ambar and Ter-ron! I'm Aerith," she said, and then quickly glanced up. The little gurgling noises were still emitting from beneath the couch. She sighed and sat up. "Ro, come out from under there." A little unthreatening snarl issued from beneath the couch. She rolled her eyes and walked over. "Sorry," she said as she passed Gaara, rolling her eyes. Aerith reached her paw under the couch and pulled out a small, winged blue-and-white Jivvin sprite, who was currently shredding the remains of a daffodil. She held it up by the scruff and sighed as it continued, oblivious, to shred the stem. "You're so weird," she said, placing the sprite down by her feet, where it finally looked up, snarling at Gaara. She thwapped it on the head. "Be nice," she said sternly. The sprite growled and gnawed on the base of the stem.

She looked up and immediately her eyes flew to the red Jivvin. She peered at him, trying to see under the hat. "Rune? That you?" she said, a wide smile spreading across her face.

[ yay! *and changes font color since Kanthu stoles it* ;o; ]

"Un," Gaara replied to Trel, unsure of how to respond furthermore on the subject. Though, "I guess when you're out an about, you cant really avoid it as you would when your at home." Which seemed so very true today as her glanced around the room that was at least now filled with more occupants and especially those he hadn't ever met.

Save for one as he walked into the door and gave Gaara his wonderful greeting. The tanned Jivvin shot the brown one a deep glare, before turning to the red one and giving him a slight nod of the head - he knew of him at least and knew he had manners; he wasn't going to give Naruto the pleasure of a response or his attention.

"It's no problem," He responded to Aerith with another forced small smile, unsure of what she was actually apologing for. He then turned his attention to the little spirte snarling at him. Oh please, did this little thing think he was threatening? And besides, what did Gaara do to piss him off in the first place? His eyes narrowed slightly, replacing his forced plesent smile with one just as small but a little snarky.

Walking over to Gaara, Naruto grimaced and sat down beside him, glancing up to the... thing on top of his head. "What is that?" He grunted, shoulders slumping. If Rune wasn't here, he'd have fun by now torturing the hell out of Gaara.

"Aerith?" Rune smiled, nearly floating over there to nuzzle her fervently. "By the Esper, I haven't seen you in ages." His eyes were bright with glee as he saw her, disbelief etched on his face. Was this fate?

Aerith laughed gleefully. "I can't believe it! How long has it been?" she said, grinning. Rune looked so...different. Older. ((He looked goooooood. XD Sorry)) But not older in a bad way, older in a good way. He looked more mature...I guess I must, too, she thought absently. She had immediately lost almost all interest in the others in the room. Meanwhile, Ro was glaring back up at Gaara. Having sufficiently destroyed the flower, she stood up, then lowered herself into a pouncing position, although she didn't pounce. She glared back up at Gaara, snarling how she thought was menacingly, but which was actually a little funny. Aerith, having been distracted by Rune, was paying her no attention, so she was free to try and threaten much larger Jivvins.

Gaara was honestly finding the attempts of the spirit more interesting than Naruto's obsurd question at the moment and chuckled under his breath at her antics. But he might as well indulge in the amument that could be had from teasing the brown Jivvin.

"Wow, Naruto," He began in a snarky manner with his gaze falling on the other, "I didn't think you were that dense. It's what most people like to call, a horn ~ you possess one as well. Unless you're actually inferring about my hair which probably looks a bit odd after one has a Capra gnawing on it for about an hour."

He finally lifted his paw off said goat creature's head. Her attentions turned to glaring up at Naruto - oh she remembered him, she beamed - from her position atop Gaara's tail which was still wrapped around his legs. Gaara, in turn, turned back to the little blue thing, stuck his tongue out at her and smirked.

As the only adult human there, Trelweny suddenly felt herself very out of place. Normally that was not a problem for her.. but it had happened so suddenly. Having caught her at a time she was thinking too deeply again. The mother's attention immediately & frantically went to her son.

Theron was following after the sprite. Ro. Wasn't that what the female jivvin had called it? His ust bond being denied the company of her new acquaintance tagged along behind. The young Uuthli & the child having little difficulty in adapting to the growing crowd. After all, their own home could get rather packed at times. Theron seemed to hve picked up on the sprite's name -or simply liked the sound- for he said "Ro! Ro!" happily with outreached hands. Ambar, excited, simply barked & made little sense if any. [Friends many Ambar Ter-ron too!]

Ro swatted at the air, directing it at Gaara as though to threaten that that's what would happen to him if he continued. Her lip was curled and a small, high-pitched growl was emitting from her. The hackles on her back were up. She was ready to play, even if it was with a Jivvin more than thrice her size. She was adjusting her footing when she heard a Jivvin pup saying something to her. Ro irritatedly glanced sideways at the Jivvin and human bond. Her hackles smoothed out as she studied the young Jivvin.

Nope, not worth the fight. She raised her paw and signaled for them to leave her be. She had a score to settle with this big Jivvin. She turned back to Gaara, and immediately bared her fangs again, taking her position again and inching forward several steps, her paw raised. Her wings were open need she fly away, which was possible - this Jivvin was big.

Rune sat down, smiling. "Far too long, I'm afraid. You've grown a lot..." He murmured softly, glancing over to Naruto with a slight frown. The frown didn't suit him.

Naruto glared. "If you don't watch it, I'll break your horn off, you stupid-"

"Naruto." Rune warned, emitting a sigh. "Forgive me, I have to watch him constantly after... the incident, though it wasn't his fault." Rune said soft enough that only Aerith would hear.

Gaara rolled his eyes once again, this time with a shake of his head. "Again with the childishness...." He muttered, attention still fixated on Ro. Seriously, as entertaining as pissing Naruto off was, his attitude was getting rather tiresome. The little winged sprite was proving to be a nice little distraction.

He cocked his head to the side, muzzle forming a silent 'ooo' sound in an attempt to jeer her on further. His footing shifted, leaning more towards her to continueing coaxing her, feeding into the tempation to take a swat at him. Could he actually get her to pounce at him? How delightful that would be, especially if she used those little wings.

True, he should be eating his own words about acting immature, but with such an oppurtunity - and the fact he honestly wasn't taking it seriously and was more of playing, he honestly didn't care.

Suika, all the while, continued staring at the brown Jivvin. Every so often inching closer towards him. Did she really not remember her? True, she didn't look the same but the horns and goatness were so obvious. "Looks like you lost the affections of you love-aa~" She giggled in a higher pitched voice than from before.

Naruto? The human woman turned her attention to the brown jivvin with yellow mane, wondering if there was a connection other than name between this Naruto & the Audio Naruto that was her Rikku's 'best friend' as they called it. Gaara was obviously more interested in the fae creature so she did not feel she was being rude in the slightest. Really what more was there to say for the moment?

Finding his latest interest completely uninterested in him the human child got mad. In fact, he set to throw a tantrum. His little arms went to his sides & his fists clenched as he started to shake. Trelweny glanced over at her son in horror before moving to reach his side. Her efforts proved unnecessary as Ambar bumped the child gently with her head then licked his face. Blinking, Theron's temper faded away & he laughed & flung his arms about his bond's neck. She yipped happily, then barked. [Ruto!] Ambar tilted her head to indicate the jivvin she spoke of.

Tilting his head curiously at the tone of his bond's barks & followed Ambar's gaze. Theron scrunched his little face up, trying to remember what that one had just been called. His dark eyes lit up as it came to him.

"Ru-ro!" He exclaimed happily, recognizing the name from one spoken around their home often. Maybe this Naruto was as nice as the one his tool-buddy spoke so fondly of! The young ones ran over to find out, Ambar yipping happily. [Yes! Yes!]

Aerith halted her observations of Rune, tilting her head questioningly. Incident? She assumed the snapped horn comment had something...or a lot, in fact, to do with it. "What happened?" she asked, her voice weighted with concern, even though it wasn't for her own family. She could be strangely maternal at times, and just as strangely distant and apathetic at others. But that came with being an Uuthli - odd, flighty personalities.

Ro snapped threateningly at the noise, imitating it almost perfectly. Clearly she had inherited quite a temper. Aerith had supposed she inherited from Tifa in her younger days. When Tifa was a teen and somewhat as an adult, she had a fiery temper and would snarl at the first person who looked at her funny. She had reigned in her temper, but Aerith assumed that it had rubbed off on Ro. After all, Ro had never liked Aerith, but adored Tifa. Daxter, their other Jivvin sprite, was a lazy little creature who preferred Aerith. Somehow, though, the two were often switched, and so Aerith ended up with the little beastie. Ro crept forward until she was very close, then swiped at Gaara's tail, uttering a sort of "ah-ha!" cry as she did.

"It mainly has to do with an incident that dealt with murder, though it was of no fault of his own. All he was caught with was caring. The wrong place, the wrong time." Rune explained, folding his ears back as he let his hat fall over his eyes.

Eyes widening, Naruto ignored her comment and instead stared at her, before blinking in recognition. "I remember you," He muttered, head tilting to the side. "You're that... goat thing. That ate everything, yeah?"

For a moment, Gaara's attention shifted to the female human as she watched all those around but was soon brought back to the little winged Jivvin as she took a swipe at him. He cocked an dark rimmed eye a bit wider and couldn't help but let out a low chuckle at her attempts. "Almost," He told her as he held out his paw to push her back a little in a mild relatiation. She was so much smaller, he didn't actually want to hurt her or anything - he really wasn't like his namesake - but he found her antics muchly enjoyable, so he decided to continue egging her on.

"Oooh, you remember me!" Suika replied in a mocking tone, "I'm so delighted!" The capra giggled once again, raising a paw to preen the fluff around her neck. Her bright blue eyes narrowed slightly in a coy fashion, still upon the brown Jivvin. "How are you, brown dog thing? Did you miss me?"

"I kinda did..." Naruto muttered, tilting his head as he continued to look up at her. "Though I doubt you missed me. I detect mock in your tone." He frowned, sitting down and curling his tails around his paws, one of them flicking back and forth in a rather irritated manner. Idly, he looked over at Rune, sighing.

Just why had they come here, anyway?

"It was a mistake to come here... I thought it would be interesting to see Gaara after a bit of length apart, but I can see I was wrong." Eyes closing, Naruto went silent, another tail lashing in irritation.

And then he heard the kid's voice. Ruro? Was that what he was being addressed as? Eyes opening, he turned to look.

Pleased the brown jivvin with yellow hair seemed to actually be paying attention to him Theron scampered closer, his jivvin bond right beside him. "Ruro babada. Dabata beboo deda. Mama ne Reru de sana Ruro ba. Dena be."

He spoke baby babble, but with a strange eloquence & infliction that indicated an understanding of speech that the child seemed unwilling to speak more than unable. Beside him Ambar's tail thumped & the ust yipped happily at the elder. [We know a Ruto too! Are you fun like him? Play games with us?] She spun around in a tight circle, chasing her tail to signify play in case Naruto could not understand her.

Nodding to Garaa, the human mother moved to join her son & his bond. "They're not bothering you, are they? I heard you called Naruto. My name is Trelweny. One of our family is best friends" She said it oddly, a sparkling grin in her eyes. "With one named Naruto, also with a shock of yellow hair. Theron & Ambar here have likely made a connection with the similarities, despite the difference in species."

She grinned, passing a cookie to Suika who seemed to like them. "Likely they want you to play with them, knowing my little ones."

In Which an adventure starts... but doesn't finish...

[yeah, this never finished xD]

Aubri trotted happily into the Center before her Papa, looking around to see whether anyone else was in the front room. So far today had been a good day -- no doors had attacked her, no books had tried to bury her alive, and the plants hadn't eaten her alive. Oh, and the fridge hadn't tried to freeze her to death. Because of all of that, she'd managed to convince her Papa to take her to the Center to play with other Jivvins. He'd griped the entire way there, but she knew that he liked the Center. Really!

"Looks like no one's here," he drolled, before strolling in through the door and shutting it behind him with a hind leg. He passed her, heading to the kitchen, before turning his head to shoot her a look. "I'm going to grab a bite. Don't get lost anywhere, kapish? I don't want to drag your a--butt out of a problem because you made a certain rabbit unhappy."

"Yes, Pa--aadrith!" She chirped, after the warning he sent her and fluttered her wings happily. Snorting, the Tala continued on his way to the fridge, and Aubri began to look around. Maybe someone was hiding?

Given some more mobility and freedom from the hermitting lifestyle of his bond, Gaara was finding things to be rather refreshing. He had usually been the one to rebel - besides Suika - against chiri's lack of social outings and had fond ways to escape the apartment regardless but no he found he was able to go out and about without that guilty conscience hanging over him - the Jivvin still felt bad for going against her, being as she was just looking out for their best interest despite them being built upon paranoid notions.

So, the tawny Jivving had found himself being able to explore his surroundings and places he hadn't ever thought about without having to be worried about worryin chirigami too much - she still, as habits were hard to be rid of but not as much. There were places, though, he hadn't found himself near too often however. One being the Jivvin Center, and that did raise a little guilt into his system .. having not been to the place where others of his kind were likely to venture to. He was so out of touch with his kin, so it seemed like a good time than any to find himself nosing the door open - having it just seen it close moments before, perhaps having not been seen behind the previous pair - and stepping inside. [and for once, without a small little goat creature riding upon his head, aa solitude]

"Hello?" He greeted, uncertain if who he had seen were still about as he himself closed the door with a flick of his long tail.

"Oh!" Aubri jumped, startled, and whirled around to face the newcomer -- well, attempted to, as her tail got in the way and she sprawled awkwardly onto the floor. Shaking herself briskly, she got her paws underneath her and heaved up, bouncing slightly into the air. She looked over the new Jivvin, completely ignoring the blunder she just commited. "Hello! I'm Aubri, and it's nice to meet you!" Her eyes glinted happily. "I like your tattoo thing."

How he had missed her would have really been a mystery, given her bright blue pelt and high accents and the like - it was rather artistic, he had to admit to himself given he stared at for a few good moments before finally making as much as a verbal response.

"Oh... thank you." Gaara replied awkwardly, still not used to be as social as many. The only ones he ever had much to talk to where his apartment mates and even then he was barely able to get a word in between Orihime's excessive chatter and Suika's disgruntle remarks. The male was at going to question if she was alright from her tumble, but she had already shaken it off and engaged in conversation ... and then he just got lost staring at her. He knew enough that reciprocated compliments were usually appreciated, "Your fur is rather ... pretty..." He figured could work, flicking his tail to wrap its length around his body in a comforting notion. He liked the idea of getting out and talking to others since he was so often out of touch, but when he actually found himself engaged in conversation... he was like a stump.

"I'm Gaara, by the way. It's a pleasure ..." That part was easy enough.

"Gaaaaara. That's a pretty name!" Aubri's own tail never seemed to stand still behind her, twitching this way and that as she talked. Looking up at the larger Jivvin, she tilted her head happily. "D'you want to go see something really cool? My Auntie told me about it, and she said it's really close! And it's safety first, she said, or else the trees decide that you're a prude and rude and turn you around." She shook her head hautily, like her Papa always did. "She said she was rude and prude and got lost for a long long time, but I think if you're nice to the trees again they'll forgive you. And you can't get lost with two people!"

"Aa .... uh thanks." Came another awkward reply from the tan Jivvin, not used to compliments besides small talk. Gaara's long ears flicked slightly as he tilted his to the side in inquiry over her proposal.

"Something cool?" Her dark rimmed eyes squinted together for a moment as he pondered going along with her whole idea, even with the little bit of nonsense that had followed it soon after about getting lost. "People do often say there are safety in numbers, " he smiled to the younger Jivvin, "though... I suppose if we would both get lost then we would be twice as much." Especially if they argued over which way to do, he chuckled. It couldn't really hurt to go along with her, who knows where she planned to lead him to. She was young after all, so it probably wasn't too much of a trip or even trouble.

Gaara's eyes and smile softened as his tail slowly unwrapped around his legs, "Sure, why not ~ I would love to see this thing you deem 'cool.'"

"We wouldn't be lost!" Aubri yipped back, ruffling her feathers. "We'd know that we're next to each other. So you can't be lost when you know that!"

A grin broke across her muzzle, however, when her new friend had accepted her invitation. "Yay! And Auntie says that it really is cool, 'cause it's really big, with a huuuuge library; even bigger than the Center's! And it's old. Old is good." She nodded solemnly, before ruining it with another smile and started skipping towards the door. "She said a person told her that it was called the House and I asked why it was that since aren't all houses houses? Papa said that it was the mum of all houses and Auntie started muttering about screwdrivers, and Uncle Sora and Uncle Verde both thought there might be treasure since it's so old." Biting the rope contraption on the door to ease it open, Aubri scooted backwards to politely hold it in place so Gaara could go first. "Wha wath if behinb phe Fenpher," she warbled, pleased with herself.

Gaara made a move to open his mouth to object once again to her logic about getting lost, but his voice feel silent, realizing perhaps it wasn't best and to just go along with what the younger Jivvin said. It would probably just lead to more remarks about the subject and he wasn't sure exactly how stubborn or set on ideas she was. Instead he went with, "I see," To her continued description of this 'really cool place' even though half the words were not reaching him; he had long picked up the habit to start zoning out after long trails of words because of Orihime's ramblings. Because of this, it took him a moment to even realize she moved.

"Oh, thank you." He replied with a nod to her kind gesture of opening the door as he turned himself around. Once he had gotten himself outside, tail and all, he himself propped the door open with his hind leg. Best to be a gentleman, holding the door for her as well, besides being the larger of the two and wouldn't have trouble letting it go. But, then something came to mind as he looked down on on her.

"Wait, wasn't there another one with you? Won't they be angry if you're suddenly gone?"
