First Chapter
She, priestess of the Mikaboshi, and mentor of the young man who came to be named Silent Lotus, met her end and fell into the abyss of Yomi rather than reaching the dark realm which Ama no Kagaseo ruled over. However, it was when she descended into the abyss the death of the Grass Cutter came in a massive wave of events that would forever scar Yomi.
It started as a great storm gathered which thrown Yomi into darkness, the kind only the blind knew of. Soldiers on the great battlefield of Yomi could only stare up at the gathering clouds until no more light was there for their eyes to take in. Thunder rolled and crashed loudly forcing the ground below to cave in - such a rumble no doubt causing the soil to rumble above inside of the mortal realm.
Thousands of spirits met their end there, but those who survived could only watch to see the end. The clouds swirled and the thunder only continued to rumble as blackened winds began to swirl as a vortex began to form itself. The cries of the spirit of the fabled blade Kusanagi was passing on, taken by the hands of the Shinigami into the black void.
Lightning struck and Kusanagi allowed all who remained to see her at the center of the storm as she began to descend unto the land of death, bathing Yomi in a brilliant white and making everything fall into an inverted darkness where all was white but the shadows. Many screamed in agony as their eyes bled at the immense light, some stood their ground and opened their arms accepting their death - most ran in terror.
It was from that point, the Grasscutter began to wither and fall into the arms of the beings of death which commanded the black void. The very same clouds which howled with destruction just moments earlier began to weep and purify the land below them as a massive ocean was formed where the battlefield once stood. It would become known as the Waters of the Sword, Tsurugi no Mizu. The last of the spirits of the battlefield perished here, drowning under the weight and depth of the ocean only to be lifted into the clouds above. The waters of the Kusanagi purifying them and granting them the ability to ascend to Takamagahara.
From the ocean came a woman, her form at first only made of a salty mist carried by the wind. She began to take shape, clothes wrapped themselves around her in a brilliant white glow. It didn't take long for the clothing to lose it's illuminating effects, and it was there she stood. The Priestess of the Mikaboshi, mentor of Elexial - the Silent Lotus.
It was with Kusanagi's death, it's power was passed onto the mortal in the valley of the shrines. Elexial, the Silent Lotus, had become the Grand Storm of the Sword Spirit, Seshin Tsurugi no Idai Arashi.

Chapter Two
The death of what was perhaps one of the greatest Kami ever has shaken more than Yomi. It's effects have reached up to the Grand Kami of Takamagahara, and stuck inbetween the two realms the mortal world is suffering the damage. Susanoo, especially, has been effected by the death of his beloved blade. Days have become shorter, for it was one of the few gifts Amaterasu's brother - Susanoo - ever gave her. The moon has become dull, and the waters that are under Susanoo's control have become wild and dangerous.
Takamagahara has begun to weep for the loss of the Kami, for there wasn't a soul who hadn't been graced by the tale of the Kusanagi. The silver overcast that the mortal realm had become used to at this point in the Autumn season has become darker, and has begun to weep flakes of black velvet, covering the earth below with dark snow.
Unfortunately, news of the death of the Grasscutter has not reached the mortal realm. Thusly, they have been left in turmoil and confusion. Priests have speculated that they are at fault for seperating the shrines, and the black snow is a sign of punishment to come - as they have invoked the wrath of not only the gods of creation, but their own as well for being so judgemental.
Bottom line, many have speculated that the apocalypse is to come.
Even so, regardless of what they believe, the effects are still the same. The black snow has coupled with the spirit flames which have begun to overflow from the cracks which sit inbetween the massive stone and the cave it blocks. All of they desperate to reach the heaven which some of them have spent thousands of years trying to reach. The seas an oceans of the world are furious, and many other natural disasters have begun to occur.
