IT WOULD SOO BE ERIK DUDE HE'S THE FREAKIN PHANTOM
PostPosted: Fri Dec 07, 2007 7:30 pm

A man who felt too much
A man with scars too deep
A man whose name meant only fear and scorn

One of the many reasons I heart Erik:

"...the kaleidoscope whirled, making beautiful, many-hued pictures that still glow in my memory like fresh oils. The sorcery of an incomparable genius focused like the sun's rays on the tinder-dry imagination of a child. My house was filled with magic and mystery as Erik seemed to cause the very earth itself to yield its long-kept secrets. Windows opened into a world of fantasy, and bridges of music spanned deep chasms into a strange and secret realm."
~Susan Kay's Phantom, Persia section

I want him to do that to me 3nodding

A man who longed to touch
A man who longed to weep
A man whose only crime was being born

I don't want him to Punjab me. It would mean I failed to please him, as I would try to do.

It's a figurative kaleidoscope. Right before that part, he says "Let me paint him a rainbow".

Ah, yes...that part. I always thought it made a VERY strong mental picture when the Persian's son died, and the text said something along the lines of, "His cloak flew behind him from the open window...he looked an angel of death..."

Might have to sketch that sometime...I need to read sections of that book again...

But how quickly we forget
Such a sure and perfect plan,
And unlearn the passions that once had burned.

That part was strong imagery for me too!

But how could I have seen?
What was I to do?
How could I know I would find you?
