He looked down and kissed the babies fingertips as her arm outstretched. They were cute, no matter what, and his... He looked over to Selona, smiling.
Theirs.
"Well, if he does, we won't need to worry about him scraping his knees." At least he could joke about it.

Imbri looked at the baby that was now streching his arms towards the little girl and cooing.
"Not 100% certain about what?" she asked, confused. She looked down at Nyoka. "I don't know, he's kind of cute, and he still looks like me. He has my hair and eyes..."
Imbri chuckled. "No, I suppose not. Stone is hard to scrape."

"Not 100% sure if his skin is going to become more stone like or not. It concerns me a bit actually. I will be discussing it with the doctor at some point however." she sighed lightly.
Turning to look back at Nyoka she nodded, "Yeah... he does. He's really quite adorable."
Meanwhile, Genevieve was still giggling and cooing at her daddy. Daddy was so great! He was silly too. Always making funny noises and kissy faces at her.

"Beep, bip, boop."
Mal was poking the little girls nose and cheeks, making dumb little noises as he did so. For some reason, she liked it which was enough reason to continue. He'd let the two women get reacquainted while they waited. Come to think of it, the receptionist hadn't even arrived to confirm their arrival, and Malachi looked up to see if there was one behind the desk.
No such luck.
He then turned to Imbri, one finger now gripped tightly by the baby in his arms. Maybe that was an indication to stop, at least for now. "So when was your little boy born?" he inquired.

"He was born on the 2nd of this month," she said, tickling him again, under his chin.
"What about yours? When where they born?" She shook her head, wondering how she hadn't even known Selona was pregnant.

Genevieve yawned and squeezed her daddy's finger a bit more before wriggling around in his arms. She was trying to get comfortable. Her little tail curled up, then unfurled again, the feathers in her wings seemed to quake before she finally settled down.
"July 2nd." Selona interjected, "They were born on July 2nd." her hands folded over onto her lap and she seemed to be in thought.
Selona hadn't really played much of an upfront roll in affairs for the last 6 months or so in her Kingdom. That would have to change soon enough. But for now, she was more concerned with the health and well-being of her babies.
"Almost 2 months old now."

Mal recovered the baby in her blanket before recovering his finger from her miniature death grip. Babies had little sense of restraint to make up for their lack of muscles and it took some prying to free the finger.
Mal's brow furrowed as he asked, rather rhetorically, "Where's the docotor at? We did have an appointment, didn't we?" The last half was directed to Selona.

"I've noticed that the doctor doesn't seem to like showing up on time," Imbri commented, remembering waiting for the doctor when she had her first appointment.
"I guess I lost track of time. Nyoka is almost a month old now." She looked down at him, now having nestled into her and shut his bright purple eyes. "He's still so little."

"Don't worry dear, you know they'll grow up faster than you could ever imagine."

"Care to have a seat, she won't bite." He joked, though it was uncertain whether he was referring to the baby, or Selona.

Imbri rolled her eyes lightly. Humor. Ugh.
She took a seat opposite Selona, smoothing her skirt, then setting Nyoka on her lap gently.
"You know, he's rather hard to balance, what with having just a tail and all. I guess it evens out, since he balances himself when he wraps his tail around my wrist." She nodded at the woman. "Mmm, yes, I've come to that realization long ago," she said softly, recalling Kida.

"Hmm, yes I can understand that. Genevieve seems to have a similar problem." she looked over to the small, part serpent child she'd given birth too as well.
Oh the amount of time she'd spent trying to explain that one to Malachi. But that was another story to not be brought up at this point.
"Although she seems to be growing in a set of wings... I'm not sure if that will help with her balance or not." she pondered.
"Yes. All grown up and trying to start families of their own." Selona chuckled, as though she knew what Imbri was thinking.

Mal ignored the last comment, settling his mind which was suddenly reeling at the thought of the life that had yet to be lived. These were his first true offspring, and he wasn't about to lose this time worrying about such things. They were still small now, and that was all that mattered.
"She'll be fine once she learns to fly."
A thought hit him then. "Babies tend to learn by example. Who's going to teach her to fly, or..." he paused, searching out an appropriate word. finding none, he went with his first option, hoping for the best. "Slither, for that matter?"
