Firra liked Durem, always had really. Even way back when in her early days on Gaia, it had always been her favorite town. There was something delightfully spooky about the tall buildings, though the industrial feel could use a good once-over with some bright paint.
All in all, a nice place to visit, but maybe not to live.
Once they were standing outside of H.R. Westley, Firra turned to her friends again. "Do I just go in?" Something about storefronts with doorknobs turned Firra into a shy caricature of her normal brash self, and as a classy place, H.R. Westley of course featured a solid door with a knob and no window. It being the middle of the night certainly didn't help.

Mihoshi raised her eyebrow. "Yeah..." He'd be there, he always was. "I'll stay outside and watch for anything...weird." Little did she know Westley was in fact not home, but at the Gambino mansion conducting strange experiments...

"Well, alright then!" Dusk exclaimed, decidedly louder than he should be. "Let's get this over with, already!" He marched past Firra and into the house with little to know regard to privacy or subtlety. "Westley! What's happenin' bud? I got your letter. Something up?" Dusk said bluntly.

But Dusk's words fell on no one's ears but his companions Firra thought she felt a cold, awkward wind on her back, but it might have been her vivid imagination. "...This is... anticlimactic." She said.

((Oh Dusk...you don't know it, but your wild goose is just the thing I need to get the plot going! Mwahahaha...))
A brisk wind blew through the empty streets of Durem, reminding Mihoshi that her "light warrior" gear consisted very little actual clothing. She shivered, glancing in the direction of the passing leaves. There, in just the right spot between the walls of the city, rose the Von Helson mansion. Mihoshi stiffened. Was it her imagination, or did it look...bigger tonight? She didn't visit this city much, so it could just be her faulty memories. All the rooms were lit tonight and if she listened closely, she could almost hear the strains of a melody.
Firra and Dusk would return to find their companion gone. But the streets of Durem would soon begin to fill with life again. Trickling in from the direction of the Durem Graveyard, oddly familiar hecklers grasped yellow cones filled with...ice cream.
((Yes, we're jumping straight into the Halloween plot! And I like this too much, so I'm willing to keep it going past Christmas if we have to. Somebody post! I don't care who!))
