Ayira Moonflow

PostPosted: Mon Aug 10, 2009 1:07 pm

Character Name :: Ayira Moon

Gaia Username ::
Ayira Moonflow

Age :: 23 (yes she is 23 and runs a Tavern all by herself, she is smarter than she looks)

Physical Description :: Ayira is a tall curvaceous young woman with muscle in places most women in their town don’t have. She has dark brown, almost black hair that is always worn up only allowing a few strands to curl there way down around her face. He skin is pale, porcelain almost from years of taking care of herself, and staying out of all manual labor, she could. Her fingers are long and slender, along with the rest of her, welcoming to men and women alike, which she uses to her advantage. However, what speaks most to her beauty are her eyes, they are a shade of green that no man has ever found in nature. At times, they are deep green like emeralds, and at times, they are pale like the ocean when a storm is coming. The only flaw that she ever shows on her body, not to say she doesn’t have others, is a deep scar on her right shoulder blade. It is visible with most of her outfits and she never talks about it, but it looks painful and deep.

Personality ::
She has more or less two faces, one that the public sees and another she hides all to herself. To the public she is an upbeat charismatic sensual entertainer whose quick wit and sharp tongue is just what the people of Wynander need in their lives to keep their minds off the horrors that haunt them everyday. Her other side is that of longing, pain and loneliness. She would never admit it to anyone but she just wants to live a simple life free from all of the pain and suffering she sees everyday. A life where she could have a chance, a real chance to actually live. Not this one where you’re always looking out for who most important, yourself. However that’s just one side, who knows which really is the real her.

Background Information :: Ayira although a “public figure” in the slums of Waynander, is one of the most secretive. Nothing is really known about her past and many believe she changed her name to protect herself even more. She never talks about her life or her past, never expressing any deep secrets to anyone really. Why would they care about her pains or pleasures? Her purpose in life here is to distract them from their miserable lives, if only for a short time, not distract herself.

As for her "baby" The Red Rat, that is her pride and joy at the moment, but that could all change tomorrow for all she knows. Some may question how she could run a successful business in a place like this, with the cost of food, and the rate of crime, and the unsavory customers...well actually they help business more than hurt it really. As for the dilemma of food, yes she serves to a high scale clientele sometimes, but even the poor man can get a bite to here, if he trades with her that it, nothing is for free in this life. The way she can afford to do such things, she has made a few connections since opening the Rat, and with the help of some shadier friends has procured food and a very "reasonable" price, and that is all she will say on that matter.

However that then raises the issue of the crime rate and the risk she takes in storing her "goods." To solve that problem she has hired a man or six to help her guard what is hers. Thankfully these men are not picky on pay, well most of them, and will take a trade in the felsh of beautiful women over coin any day. Lucky for Ayira she has a few girls laying around for them, she herself never takes care of that payment. Yet she is always looking for more "helpers" male or female, she can find anyone a job, no matter who the person.

Occupation ::
The owner and lead “entertainer” at The Red Rat, most popular tavern in the Kensington District

Residence :: Kensington District, in The Red Rat.

Character Name :: Zasar
Gaia Username :: Arishi

Physical Description :: Arms were probably just a little too long, well muscled and almost making him appear ‘buff’ if it weren’t for his lean body and thin face.
Skin was darkly tanned and almost leathery, with many freckles and a few pale scars plainly visible, and a fresh looking sunburn on his shoulders and upper chest--his face protected by a large, flamboyant black hat holding a bent purple feather.
Under said hat came long, stringy white hair pulled back into a tight ponytail, pale stubble on his face giving off the fact he didn’t shave often, or hadn’t the means to a shaving tool period. Eyes were pale brown in colour, and he was bestowed with a long, slightly crooked nose, uneven teeth, wide, slightly slanted lips, and an overall joyous expression.
Upper body was covered in a faded blue-grey vest, with brownish black-to-greying slacks worn over his legs with a not-so-fancy belt, and short, worn leather boots worn on his feet. A once white shirt that had probably at one point been worn under his vest was now usually seen tied around his waist.

Personality :: Maybe the sun had just finally gotten to him, or perhaps it had something to do with his missing crew, but--Zasar, at times, seemed a little... insane.
He had a tendency for random mood swings, and when he wasn’t speaking quite cheerfully (in an eerie sort of way), he would seem almost sad.
Enjoying his time by telling whimsical stories, he was prone to leaning dramatically on one arm even when he wasn’t weaving fanciful tales of the sea. But the people, who –truly- knew him, recognized that he was dead serious about almost anything he went on about, despite how he chose to display the information.
Despite his usuall moods, Zasar was also gifted with an extremely short temper, and when he angered, he screamed. He threw fits, and went even more –crazy- then he was known for. But the outbursts were short, and his anger seemed to come in stages, finally simmering down to an eerie silence, almost calmness.
But anger issues aside, the pirate was prone to happy outbursts, joyful greetings, dancing to unheard music in which he did not bother to hum or whistle to, working tirelessly on keeping his pretty vessel, The Fairy Bandit, up and looking pristine (despite how, since his return to the city, no one since had seen it sail), telling wild sea adventures, and talking to his beloved ship.

Background Information :: If the stories Zasar weaved were true (and they were quite elaborate indeed), then he had quite the cunning past, filled with adventure and vast riches. Fierce battles and in his own words, great entertainment.
Possibly a week or so before Sehket’s awakening, The Fairy Bandit and her lovely crew of crooked cruel pirates docked at the glorious harbour of Wynander, intending on selling off the more useless of goods from raids having taken place recently beforehand.
They stayed a while to mingle with the public, taking their sweet times in the local pubs. But when the gates locked and the city was thrown into chaos, Zasar’s men were some of the first to flee the ‘obviously cursed’ city.
Captain Zasar and his crew took their chances with the sea monsters, but soon returned to the docks with considerably fewer crewmembers, and a badly damaged ship.
Most of the rest of the members of The Fairy Bandit decided to take their chances with the forests (being as fierce of pirates that they were), or attempted to ride the waters again (some believed their good captain had turned back too soon, while they could have made it past). Most of Zasar’s crew was never seen again, though a few members were left throughout the town, as sort of ex-pirates. A little too cowardly to hang around the harbour and their former captain. True pirates indeed.

Occupation :: Pirate on leave(forced retirement)/occasional mercenary for hire
Residence :: The Harbour (takes up residence on The Fairy Bandit).

Character Name :: Rhiannon Dare
Gaia Username :: toxiin

Physical Description :: Slim, a little taller than average with sharp, slightly slanted blue-green eyes and a small button nose. Add in her olive skin, and straight black hair... Rhiannon is someone people generally call "exotic." At least they would, if her hair wasn't always mostly hidden under a scarf. Rhia usually wears a loose white blouse with a pair of men's black trousers. The material is cheap, but sturdy, and hides her wiry muscles - Rhia is much quicker and stronger than she looks.

Personality :: Independent would be the first word that comes to mind. Friendly, but with an air of reservedness about her - Rhiannon keeps her secrets close. A little bit selfish, but can be generous to those who matter to her, though those that she would truly call friend are few and far between. She is usually flirty and self-confident, with an easygoing attitude that allows her to take things as they come. Occasionally she displays a mischievous streak, though lately it's been coming out less and less.
Rhiannon is very slow to anger, but is capable of holding grudges for a long time. Unless one knows her very well, it is likely that they may not even notice her anger until it is far too late - Rhiannon's temper burns inwards, until it either explodes and burns out quickly, or turns into deep dislike.

Background Information :: Orphaned too young to remember - Rhiannon's first memory was of living in an overcrowded and sometimes vicious orphanage in the Rumwell Community. When she was strong (and quick) enough to fend for herself, she left and joined one of the various gangs in the area, though it was rather short-lived. Fortunately, it was a long enough stay for her to grasp the beginnings of the art of thievery and pick-pocketing, and that was enough for her to join with yet another gang. From then on, until she was too old (and too attractive - the risk of being raped by her own gang was not insignificant) to be still living on the streets, Rhiannon stole for a living. As a hobby, she drew.
At 15, when her body's changes began to become too obvious to ignore, she left - vowing to switch her profession and become an artist. That was easier said than done, however, especially for someone with no references and in a city such as Wynander. In order to make ends meet, Rhiannon often found herself still resorting to thievery, despite her promise to herself.

Occupation :: Artist / Part-time thief.
Residence :: Lost District (if one doesn't mind the cockroaches, rent can be cheap...)

Character Name :: Alaina Calleigh
Gaia Username :: Aced Desire

Physical Description :: Alaina is a tall woman; standing at approximately 5'9" with a lean build. Long, chocolate brown hair waves down to her mid-back, but it usually placed up in a messy bun due to her occupation. With light brown skin and dark brown eyes, Alaina's exotic nature shows through her physical attributes - this includes smaller eyes and higher cheek bones topped with a larger upper lip - however, both are full.

Alaina is usually dressed in fairly comfortable clothing - her work clothing to be precise. A white tank top with beige work pants and tan construction boots with black steel toes and because work pants seemed to not be very fitting to the womanly form, Alaina has taken the liberty of purchasing herself some black suspenders; a very convenient idea in her mind.

Personality :: A quiet, yet hard working type, Alaina is always fixing things. Whether it be in her personal life or a house, she's always working. Although quiet, she can also be a fairly sneaky individual; the type to play pranks on fellow coworkers, but would never be the one that someone would expect. However, she only does such things to those who have proven themselves idiotic, arrogant or ignorant.

Background Information :: Alaina lived a fairly normal life; grew up in a family that had five boys - herself being the youngest and only female, she always felt that she had to prove herself. One would assume that because she grew up with a family of all boys that she'd be a lot louder than she is. No, this is why she became crafty the way she is; her brothers would always get blamed for things that she did.

As she grew up, she would always help her father and older brothers with the handy work around the house; she preferred this to cooking and cleaning. Alaina's father owned and managed a carpentry company entitled, "Calleigh & Sons" which didn't sit well with Alaina considering she wanted to one day help with the business.

Eventually, she grew up and decided to move out on her own with the intentions of starting, owning and managing her own business. And this is exactly what she did.

Occupation :: Carpenter.
Residence :: Lyster Community; constantly "assisting" in rebuilding/restoring homes.

Faevan

PostPosted: Mon Aug 24, 2009 8:38 pm

Character Name :: Fae (last name unknown)
Gaia Username :: Faevan

Physical Description :: Fae stands about 5'8'' at her full height, but tends to crouch a bit under her cloak to stand out less. If she was clean, her hair might shine a radiant platinum blonde, but it usually hands in a limp, sooty grayish braid, swinging joylessly behind her. She is a fair, but dirty woman, with the stain of plant, dirt, and sometimes blood on her hands more often than not. Her eyes are a weary chocolate brown. She has the build of one who does what she must to survive. Lean to the point of scrawny at times, with a wiry strength build out of necessity and desperation. If clean and well fed, she has the potential to be beautiful.

She is usually found wearing a large, grey rough spun cloak that covers most of her face when the hood is drawn. Her clothing tends to vary, but her one constant is the small wooden box she carries strapped to her back. If you can get close enough to her, you can hear the soft tinkling of glass bottles inside. She also carries a silver dagger strapped to her lower leg. It could feed her for a month if she sold it to the right person, yet she won't part with it for any price, despite the generous offers that have been made.

Background Information :: It is whispered on some streets that Fae didn't always live the way she did now. Sometimes she dreams about tables spread with delicious, aromatic foods, and remembers wearing finer clothes and dancing with fine men, but upon waking, remembers nothing but the cruelty of men. Now she scavenges the city, roaming through the districts that she will draw the least notice in. She is a quiet girl, willing to do what she must to survive.

Occupation :: Fae eeks out her existence by running a very small traveling apothecary stand out of that box she carries on her back. The herbs she sells are gathered from different parts of the city. The price of the herbs depends on where she gathered them from, and the risk she took collecting them. However, Fae has a soft spot for children, and will usually be willing to part with or collect herbs for them at little or no cost. She shies away from the wealthier districts, usually only braving those districts to collect herbs.

Residence :: Fae can be found everywhere, but if you are seeking her out, you might want to begin looking in the Kensington District.

Gaia Username : Paine Nawali
Character Name : Yami Chou
Age : 18
Height : 5' 4
Weight : 125
Size : Average build

Physical Appearance : Yami Chou has never cut her hair, but she had done her best to keep her own brown locks straight. The long strands go down to her back when left alone, but due to her work as an artist, she ties it up with a piece of cloth in a high ponytail. Her almond shaped brown eyes always seem to accent her emotions well, especially when she smiles. Most girls pride themselves over their pretty faces, Yami does not mind much of her own physical appearance, but does try her best to keep herself tidy and in order, despite her limited resources.

Outfit: The Chou family has always been poor. The rags and the tattered apron that hugged her body morning, day and night were sewn from scraps of cloth her mother had collected during the days that she was alive. Thankfully she had not grown an inch when her clothes were completed, and never had the need to constantly make new ones. She's always gone barefoot, leaving the bottoms of her feet callused and cut from the amount of time spent on them. The only thing that stands out beyond the peasantry of her appearance is a silver heart shaped locket exactly like her sisters.

Personality : Despite the hardships encountered during her life, Yami has learned to smile and talk beyond it, causing her to have an unusual positive outlook on life. She's very observant and pays attention to detail mostly artistic than in an analytical sense. Yami is very confident in her actions and words, as she tends to speak for her shy counterpart, her older sister Hikari. Though sometimes her confidence and eagerness to jump into things lands her into more trouble than needed in her life.

Background Information: There was nothing truly special about the Chou Family. Their family was one of the poor and unknown families in Wynander, living in a one room shack on the outskirts. They could only afford little food, candles for light, fabric to make clothing, and mats to sleep on. After the overthrow of the previous government, the Chou father disappeared, the family assuming that he ran away because of his cowardice. Having left a sickly wife and his two daughters, the three did all they could to survive. It didn't take long before the illness that cursed the Chou mother slowly started to consume her, and it was then she decided to bestow gifts to her children, with hopes that they would continue to live. She saved enough money to give HIkari a new dancing dress, and Yami an expensive paint set. Her last gift was two silver heart shaped lockets that she put around their necks, that glittered in the sun. And as she cast her heart into her final gifts, her own heart stopped beating as she closed her eyes for the final time, leaving the girls, alone.

Yami had always been a creative soul at heart, and she would draw in the dirt and let her creative mind wander. If she was lucky enough to come across a pen, ink and something to draw on, she would use it to the very last drop, whether she could create 5 pieces or 1 out of it, she was never wasteful. Aside from being with her family, this is what made her happy. After receiving her gift from her mother, she decided to use it for the family, painting various pieces of art to sell on the streets. Her motivation?: to spread her talent to others, and share her happiness to those more or less fortunate than her. Her income from this trade however, wasn't very high, the Chou sisters were still poor, as Yami would use some of her own earnings to restock her paints and supplies.

Occupation : Artist
Residence : Lives in the Lystar Community with her sister, Hikari

Shnazz

PostPosted: Wed Aug 26, 2009 3:15 pm

Character Name :: Jynn Quiivo
Gaia Username :: Shnazz

Physical Description :: At the age of 20, he is of a slim structured build. Pliable, but not easily broken. Slightly tall, with a mop of black hair sitting atop his head, brown eyes hide behind his mess of hair. He might look a bit like a scoundrel at first, but one can be sure that with a bit of cleaning up he wouldn't be such a bad looker. He clothes are old and worn, loose across his body, wearing a plain phoofy sleeved cream-colored shirt and plain normal black pants with a silver chain belt.

Personality :: He's that kind of guy you're quite sure that you should stay away from, yet you find yourself sitting in the palm of his hand. He seems quite nice at first, but there's something just not completely right about him in the end. There's a dark leer in his eyes, that watches like a hunger in a wild beast; but at the epitome of self-control he would not yet pounce. Enjoying the play and games more than the victory, he's like a young lion: Naive and foolish. But not to the point of ever losing his step, always seeming to be one inch away from the real danger and managing to escape. A smooth talker of sorts, with just as much skill in his talk as his flute.

Background Information :: Due to his growing up an orphan in the Lost District, he is a street smarts kind of guy. And knows how to play his cards, at least to the point of almost losing yet not quite. His parents died mysteriously when he was young, close to age nine, which he doesn't remember well aside from having to fend for himself in a very uncouth part of town.

Occupation :: He is a flutist at a run-down club at which a lot of in the dark happenings occur.
Residence :: Lost District

Fayte has black eyes that have a mysterious hint of blue in them. Fayte likes to wear anything ranging from green to blue, blue to black.
Personality ::Fayte is an indecent guy and mysterious. He is the antagonist in the roleplay. Even though is surprisingly kind to children, Fayte will fight anyone for his own deeds. But, every evil has a good side to them, sort of like Yin and Yang. Fayte will turn into a nicer being and forget about the bad deeds and do only good. That is only if a child is to hug him. Fayte is the type to care about flowers but wreak havoc among others. You may call him weird and such, but nothing will change his mind but roses and children. Fayte is nocturnal and flows with the moonlight, he is never in the shadows, but in the beauty of the moon. Fayte can’t stand the heat and always wears an Autumnal or Spring apparel.
Background Information :: Fayte is just an easy going guy but hard to read. You'll never know what he'll do next. He could do the expected, or he could just do the very opposite! Some people hate Fayte since he picks on them quite a lot. Fayte likes children and is willing to help them. Somehow...only children know what Fayte is going to do.

Occupation :: Gardening
Residence :: Fayte can be found in the outskirts of the Rosewell Gardens.

[404NotFound]

PostPosted: Mon Aug 31, 2009 4:11 pm

Character Name : biggrin octor Severin Oddssen.
Gaia Username :: [404NotFound]

Physical Description :: Severin once had quite the handsome face, but since then wrinkles and the affects of his life have set in. His hair is fair and blond, kept back in a short ponytail at the base of his head. Almost constantly he wears some form of hat that obscures most of his face, casting a shadow over his blue-gray eyes. He is quite tall, and has the potential to look rather brutish, but after refusing to eat meat of any kind, his form has become rather sickly and stooped. To hide this, he wears long full length coats and several layers of clothing at all times.
Personality :: Dr. Severin Oddssen was once a quite cheerful and bouncy man, he had a flamboyant air and dressed quite regally-even in the workplace. After his incident, or ‘serendipity’ as he called it, he was never quite the same. Now he keeps mainly to himself, and tends to murmur under his breath when he speaks to someone. He is paranoid of nearly everyone, do they recognize him? Do they know what he had done? He is also growing increasingly irritable at the lack of his favorite meat, as he refuses to let himself eat it, and tends to have psychotic breakouts where he locks himself in his home. He often emerges covered in self-inflicted wounds. While these outbreaks of hs pyschosis have become more rare, he still battles his own personal demons. Time will tell who wins the war.
Background Information ::Severin was born in the cold Northern reaches of the world, and lived there his entire childhood. When he had grown old enough to leave his home and family, he did just that and went off to become a literate member of society. This part of his life is rather dull, and not all to exciting to describe. The true interest lies in his work career, and what became of it.

The Doctor had started a study in the human mind, and how different things can affect a person’s psychosis. He had several subjects, and two aids, and his experiments tended to be rather cruel in nature. After nearly a year of studious work, the aids left him, disgusted by his treatment of his patients. His work fell apart, and soon all three of his subjects had died.

The Northern man was left with nothing to his name, but some partially finished papers and three dead bodies. A famine struck the gloomy city where he lived, and his living now destroyed he was forced to do the unspeakable. He had eaten odd things from his homeland, but nothing like human flesh. At first, he was apprehensive, but acted as it were cow, and not his fellow species.

Something clicked in his mind after he had been consuming human meat, and he was never the same afterward. After working with psychotic patients, forced into the grey areas of his morality, then teetering on the desperate edge of starvation.. He changed. It was as if the demons his subjects had been plagued with passed unto him when he consumed their flesh.

After he had eaten off the three patients, he traced down his aids, and killed them in cold blood. Severin found he liked the taste of human far more than any other meat he had before, it was far more nutritious. It held all the vitamins he needed to survive, and then some. Not too mention his nuerosis developing from prolonged exposure to only his own kinds flesh, he was soon unable to eat anything else. It was as if his cannibalism was a drug, and he could not quick it without stirring up dreadful things lurking within his mind.

It was only a matter of time before the authorities found him out, and the public was disgusted by what the once good Doctor had done. In fear for his life, he escaped into hiding.
Luckily for him, the take over of the City in which he lived distracted everyone from the heinous acts he had committed, and the past Law force was disbanded or forced underground.
Shortly thereafter, he discovered the most curious thing. A child, a baby boy, who he named Nicodemus. How he came across this child is yet unknown, and something Severin keeps tightlipped about.

Occupation :: Retired Mental Doctor/Scientist. Butcher.
Residence :: Dr. Oddssen lives in a Tomb in the Graveyard of Wyander, a place that has long since been cleared of its former occupants and is now modified to suit basic living needs. Candles rest on the small indents where coffins were meant to be, carefully placed so they won't destroy the multitude of books and papers scattered about. The room is furnished with scruffy bits of furniture here and there, placed with no decoraters taste. An old armchair, with a three-legged booktable beside it, stacked high with forever unfinished paperwork, a makeshift bed created from a slab of concrete in the center of the small space, covered in moth-eaten blankets and sheets, an old bundled up jacket used as a pillow.

The makeshift residence almost has a homey feel, if you can ignore the fact that it is underground and had once held occupants who no longer breathed. A mist of damp, death, and darkness still lingeres over the distinct smell of life, though scents of old candle wax and dust are growing stronger as the days pass.

Character Name :: Anya Wilks
Gaia Username :: Ikshiva

Physical Description ::
Hair: A messy cap of dark brown hair, it doesn’t quite fall past her ears but lies in such disarray that it appears longer than it actually is. Usually brushed through haphazardly in the morning, there is no order to it except when she gets out of the shower: and then usually it’s only due to the fact that water has beaten it down into submission.
Eyes: Dark brown, the years spent narrowing them in thought, anger, and concentration has made it a permanent habit now. Anya normally appears quite annoyed due to this action, but she isn’t, some of the time. Anya’s eyes usually tell the story, her emotions and thoughts. She’s not quite mastered shielding them yet .
Body type: Average height and fairly voluptuous, she blames this on having so many children, and yet is secretly proud of her body shape as well. Usually kept toned through running after said children or through the physical task of her profession, her skin is a warm dusky shade of brown partially due to genetics, and partially due to spending so much time in the sun.
Clothing: Anya likes color. Bright, screaming shades of blue, green and red accented by the occasional shawl or scarf. Normally dressed in full figured skirts with many pockets to hide an odd assortment of snacks, tools and money, when she remembers to Anya usually has on an apron stained with time and food. Her tops are usually form fitting, (all the better to show you off with, my dears) with short sleeves so as to not hinder her movements.
Accessories: Mara doesn’t usually wear accessories of any time. Jewelry ends up being yanked at by busy hands or falling into dishes, sometimes. (She’s lost plenty of rings that way). She doesn’t enjoy wearing hats (something about them stifling her hair) and other than the shawl or scarf when cold weather permits it, Mara enjoys the freedom of movement and the lack of… stuff.

Personality :: Anya’s personality is derived from her roles in life. First a mother, making her fiercely protective over her brood and uncanny with her ability to be able to track her children’s whereabouts. Second is as a cook at one of the Marsalle estates, making her a very suppressed individual who does what she can to ensure her children and her survival. As a child she had been incredibly frank and opinionated, pushy almost in her greed to experience life. However, times have changed and she has adapted to the change in the world by pushing the strong willed independent side of herself into a dark chest. The adult Anya is a pale, mute version of her former self, quiet unless spoken to, obedient and unobtrusive when the need calls for it. It is only in the kitchens, which she considers he r own domain that she exerts some of the will and influence she has to call for order. (However it can be argued that she really has no choice in the matter either: after all, an ordered kitchen is a productive kitchen.)

Background Information :: Anya was raised in a time that was still seen as peaceful, compared to the times now. As a child of a soldier and a scullery maid, life started in servitude but a pleasant one. Anya grew up understanding her station in life and didn’t have qualms with what was expected of her, nor did she had dreams of living above her station. However, things changed. Survival for Anya meant suppressing any grain of individuality she had and becoming only invisible hands and feet for what her masters needed.
Fortunately, Anya has always had a knack with food pairings. Catching the eye of the head cook at a young age, she was bought into the kitchen and used for her quick hands and small fingers to help with the decoration and preparation of meals. She grew through the ranks and at a (ripe old) age of 25, took over the estate as the head cook.
Speckled through these times, Anya has had three children. Two girls, and one little boy who have so far skipped the attention of the current master of the estate she works for. She usually has them hiding underfoot peeling potatoes and carrots, or working with the seamstress and laundresses : anywhere to make sure they avoid attention.
She isn’t happy with her status in life. She isn’t content knowing that one day she might lose her life for her profession, and that her children might be taken for her. But she has accepted her station and her ‘lot’, and doesn’t complain too much. Anya is a realist, and she knows things can be worse.

Occupation :: Cook
Residence :: Marsalle Estate.

Character Name :: Kaden
Gaia Username :: Nikiana

Physical Description :: If he stood completely upright, Kaden would reach an average height of 5' 8". However, he keeps himself hunched over, causing his height to shrink by a good 6 inches. His brown hair is kept cut rather short, even for a male. It's hard to tell the color of his closely set eyes, since he's almost always looking down, but some investigation would reveal that they are a muddy brown color. Kaden's facial features are not quite normal, with his brow dominiating his face. He is thickly set and also has puffy cheeks.
Personality :: Sweet and rather docile, Kaden is rather simple minded. He can perform simple tasks, but cannot be given a large list of them at once. He does best when told to do one thing and come back for the next. He has a fasciantion for shiny and pretty things and takes care not to cause harm to anything that he deems pretty. He has a small vocabulary and a stuttering problem, hence he tends not to talk to strangers. In fact, he avoids strangers when he can because of his speech problems and his own appearance.

Kaden doesn't care much about the future, hardly even thinking ahead to the next task. His mind is in the here and now. He likes to touch things, finding a solace in touching pretty things. Though he likes to touch pretty objects, he doesn't like being touched by others.
Background Information :: Kaden was born in Wynander years before Sehket took over to a middle class family. It was apparent right away that Kaden was not normal, but he was loved as any parent loved their child. His childhood was rough, filled with children poking fun at him and adults unsure of how to treat him. Kaden soon blossomed into an awkward young adult and was betrayed by one he thought was a friend, leaving him to scorn the friendship of most.

When Sehket took over, money (and more importantly, food) got tight for Kaden's family. The boy was an extra mouth to feed and unfortunately was not much help in the family's store. Though he was an adult, Kaden's mentality kept people thinking of him as no more than an overlarge child.

He was sold to a rich family, who realized that a simple-minded man would be happy for shelter and food and not complain about the tasks set to him. Kaden became part of the kitchen staff, though it was soon discovered that his abilities were rather limited. So Kaden learned some new rules: No cooking, no fire, no sharp objects. Often times, when the kitchen staff is preparing a meal, Kaden is sent to the steward to perform household chores and keep him out from underfoot of the busy cooks.

Occupation :: House slave (Kitchen drudge)
Residence :: Marsalle Estates

Character Name :: Yanu Renatus
Gaia Username :: Velveteen Angel

Physical Description
:: Yanu has deep red hair falling around shoulder length, with a slight tan from his life on the streets. His skin has light freckles covering his face, neck and shoulders. He stands around 5'7'' with a medium build. He is in fit shape but lacks defined muscles. At eighteen years old, his face has yet to reach masculine and can still look sometimes childish. Dressed in rags he continues to steal either from the local charity shop or that he is given by people in sympathy, he is often wearing mismatched shirt and pants sets and is never wearing shoes. He wears a jester style hat when he is preforming, mostly to catch coins that people give him. All other times, he looks like a simple street urchin.

Personality :: Yanu has little knowledge of any form of reality, trapped in a make-believe world of his own, he can come off cold or crazy. He is a calm individual when meeting strangers, he adores children and gets along well with them because they tend to have a similar mind set. Carefree and with no real ties, he is not the type to form deep attachments with people but when someone captures his attention, he will stick with them until their interest runs dry. He's called shallow because he will only interact with people who amuse or interest him. Easily amused, he's a childish brat with little sympathy or empathy for other people. He lives to make people smile and be amazed.

Background Information :: Yanu came from a rich family, a middle child to a family who had the perfect children. Yanu was never their idea of a perfect child but he never misbehaved, so they never complained. When Yanu was young, around seven years old, he left his home and became a street child. His parents didn't seek him out, though they had met once or twice on the streets. He simply disappeared from their lives and they did the same for him. Later in the year, he was taken in by an old magician named Sol. The magician was a cruel, evil man but he taught Yanu all the magic he knew until the day he died when Yanu was seventeen. Yanu left the magicians home in the Lost District without a trace, despite the ownership had fallen to him. Yanu became the resident magician in the town, entrancing everyone he could. He still sees his parents on the street, old and grey and lonely, but he doesn't approach them. When the food shortage began and the city fell to chaos, Yanu's income dried up from magic as no one had money to spare on cheap tricks. Instead of giving up, he doubled the amount of shows he preformed a day, the little money was kept but he didn't beg. He wasn't seeking money, he was seeking the magic.

Occupation :: Magician

Residence :: He has no fixed residence, however he's often found in the Lost District at night staying in the Magician's home.
