While playing with Donat had become the best part of many of Arlyn's recent days, the Anima was still Revenge, and he still required time to himself. A precious commodity, considering his sister Serif.
He was the oldest child whether he looked it or not, so Arlyn could leave the house whenever he wanted. And so he did. The park was easy enough for him to find; even though Revenge had not been there in a month or two, he still had the way memorized.
Once he reached the edge of the grassy expanse, Arlyn stopped, taking in the fresh air, and listening around so he could find the quietest possible spot in which to relax.

The grass under Anua's feet rustled as she padded into the park. She came here frequently as Piper would sometimes stay up late at night to read and take long, long naps in the day, leaving her with not much to do around the house and no one to play with. Sometimes she wished she had made more Anima friends to play with but she didn't see them around very much.
If only she had some more excitement in her life, she thought, then it wouldn't be so quiet and boring all the time. After a couple moments she approached a tree and began to climb up in it to sit. She didn't really pay attention to the surroundings because no one she knew was usually here and it was routine for her to just go straight to her old tree and ponder about things.

Hearing nothing but a pleasantly average level of noise, Arlyn started to walk across the grass. He held his sword in both hands with the handle towards him, sweeping the end of the sheath back and forth in front of himself to ensure he would not run into anything.
Hmm, more walking was nice. There seemed to be quite a lot of empty space here, too. He would walk straight out across the park, then straight back, and that way, he could get home just the way he had memorized. The Anima thought the grass felt particularly good today, rustling under his feet and tickling them.

As soon as she seated herself comfortably in the crevice between two branches she noticed a flickering gleam of something shiny out of the corner of her eye. Thrilled, hoping it were silver treasure for adventure but knowing it was probably something mediocre and boring, she curiously poked her head out of some branches and leaves to get a better look at what it was. Though it wasn't treasure, it was something as equally exciting!
Watching her friend head towards past her way she plucked a few nuts hanging from the tree and dropped them upon head once he was under the tree. Then, hiding her head back behind the bushy leaves, she covered her mouth to keep from giving herself away by giggling but did so rather unsuccessfully.

Arlyn growled and flared out his wings, glaring upwards as he was pelted with nuts. It was, of course, not necessary to hide from him... or perhaps ineffective since the Anima's hearing was so sharp. He thought he caught the sound of giggling from somewhere over his head....
"Anua?" he asked to the giggling-rustling sound over his head. Now there was someone with whom he had not spoken in a good long while.

Anua had finally stopped her muffled giggling even though she still found Arlyn's anger amusing. She was such a terrible hider. She slid down from the branch she sat on with a small thud as she landed on the ground in front of Arlyn. "Ketchup! I haven't seen you in a kabillion years. I missed playing with you.", she exclaimed as she reached to give him a friendly hug.

The blind Anima tensed a little as Anua jumped down out of the tree to land in front of him, but he felt better when she hugged him. Still holding his sheathed sword in one hand, he wrapped his arms around her and returned the hug.
"A kabillion years," Arlyn repeated with a nod. "How is Anua today?"
