For songs, I'm more orientated toward the melody, and the lyrics. I like songs whose lyrics are somewhat MEANINGFUL. Not just random words set to a beat. As far as the instruments, I like it to be organized, with harmonies and smooth transitions. Anything mixing classical instuments or songs with modern stuff rocks. m/

my favourite kind of music is in which you can tell nothing's out of place, while making you feel something intense as if you were living the music, besides listening to it...
I don't know if I made my point burning_eyes
anyway, I listen to lots of things, but I really enjoy that kind of feeling and not every band can make it happen..

Great singer, great lyrics--that's what I need. :3 I love a unique sound too....I hate bands that you hear and are like, "Oh, is this that one band, or the other one that sounds just like them?" I like when you can hear a band and immediately know who it is because no one else has their sound. ^^

I look for good singing and playing of the instruments and actual meaning to the lyrics.

Things that Genreally get me into Music is The Catchy Bossy Riffs on Guitar and Bass. Good Riffs Like in "Plug in Baby by Muse" and "The Man Who Sold The World by Nirvana". Then I also like a Good Lot of Octogon Distortion. Muse does it a lot and So Does Queens of the Stone Age. Blowing the Wah is pretty Sweet. Like Bon Jovi does a lot. And The thing that drives every song is Passion Behind it, without Passion it doesn't sound right.

I picked other because it really depends on what I'm listening to. For instance, I really like The E.N.D. by The Black Eyed Peas because they have some cool computer effects and some killer beats. I also like A7X because of their mad guitar skills and the fact that they combine everything so nicely. Also, there are bands I just like because of how well they combine everything they do. It shows they have a really good knowledge of music, and how different keys and instruments sound together. But yeah. That is why I picked other.

I like music that makes me feel something or changes my mood. Aggressive songs that make me feel just as strong and aggressive as the driving beat or music that makes me soar in the clouds along with the guitar or piano's climbing scales. I occatonally like songs with touching lyrics too, but most of the time I'm not paying attention.

I really need a song to have lyrics that move me and I also love music that have a lot of power, not aggression but power. I'm also a sucker for good instrumentals. Wow, I guess that makes me pretty picky.

☣ If they're hard, they have to be really ******** hard. The growls and rough vocals must be really deep, and not pushed. - The Acacia Strain, Emmure, Conducting from the Grave, the Black Dahlia Murder
☣ If they're not considered extremely "hard," then usually a contrast between clean and rough vocals - the Bunny the Bear, Stutterfly
☣ If it's rap, then anything with a catchy beat to it - "Look at Me Now" by Chris Brown, or anything that is crossover - "Been to Hell" by Hollywood Undead
☣ Pop with tons of bass - Dev, Ke$ha
☣ Indie that isn't way out there - Metric, Eisley, the Organ
(I'm really shitty with putting things into genres because I don't take the time to look up dictionary definitions, forgive my ignorance if I say something you don't like or agree with.)

I really love talented musicians and bands that can just do some pretty crazy instrumental stuff but still have all the sound work together and just sound amazing
