She took out the money, and looked back at him while he was talking. She couldn't stay here forever, she barely sleeps, she barely eats, she needs something else. She tapped at the diamond earing nervously, trying to think for a moment.
What would mother do...She thought.
"Wait!" she said, moving a little closer to him, with an idea.
"I think the only way to live is to pursuit some type of adventure...But I can not join you without some type of soild evidence of your trust."
She picked at her earing, and took it out. she held it up to him, with a serious look on her face, neither smiling nor frowning.
"This will be our contract." she said, waiting for him to pick it up. "Each day goes by I work for you, you will show me this earing everyday. As long as it never breaks, then my loyalty will be solid. If it is stolen, sold or broken, then I demand to be dropped off at the nearest port. The waters I love, but I never break a contract."
She waited a moment, waiting for his reply.

"Aye lass, we have a deal." he said finalizing their contract and tacking her heirloom from her. Placing the diamond within a pouch that hung about his neck Brand tilted his hat to the lady "Welcome to me Crew me Gel. If you follow link out, he should be able to steer you towards the ship... of course you'll already know where that be seeing as how I mucked up yer dock." he said smiling "but, hey at least you don't have to repair the dock" he winked.
"I have some more business to take care of and then I'll meet ye back at the ship" Brand said, excusing himself from her presence.

:Kronos was standing iin the shadows in the corner of the pub watching everyone. He had to always be alert he never could know when he might be attacked again by the Night Masks. He overheard the conversation that the man and woman were having about going to see and he had to admit that it peeked his interest. He stood up and begane to follow the man who he assumed was the captain.:

"WHAT" Balked a deep male voice. His single eye buldging at the small figure bundled up in a stained and aged pea coat. " You heard!! I won't take a cent less.." The figure muttered, Glowering yellow-brown eyes scanning the mans face. "It's real gold and those ARE rubies set into the case..You can't try to talk your way lower with this..I'm already giving a large discount." They continued to shout, an irriated lip twitching and attempting to keep a cigarette balanced. The figure paused to take a short puff, blowing some smoke from their nostrils. THe large man growled and finally slapped a small purse into the figures hands. They balanced it for a moment then smiled. "Wonderful doing business with you.." Chimmed the small figure as they slipped the ornate snuff box into the brute hand. The figure chuckled softly and tugged at the cap on their brow, eventually pulling it off. A tumble of rusty tangles came free as they started toward the pub. "Another bite to eat.." cooed the woman, her hands trying to dig through her hair and loosen up some of the knots.

:Kronos followed the man out of the pub. It was not a hard task no one seemed to give you a second glance. Though it is difficult to give a passing shadow a second glance. He could see that they were heading towards the docks. Maybe he would be able to confront the man about a job there:

Katherine mumbled to herself as she continued to weave through the crowd. Her nose wrinkled back as the stench of urine and booze reached her nostrils. She coughed and lifted a hand to her nose trying to block the pugent odor. She shoved her hand into her pocket and started rumaging around until her hands closed around a small brass compass. She pulled it free, watching the small arrow sway, then land on north. She glanced up in the direction of the arrow across the sea of faces. "Hm..?" She cooed, watching a particular man waltz through the gaggle of people. She squinted, inspecting the patch over one of his eyes and various visible scars. Her eyelids slowly lifted and her mouth formed a small "o"of curiosity.
