Native Lands Data:
A mighty island that is held aloft in the sky by unique technologies, once a literal chunk of the long-submerged continent that had existed on the far side of the Parhest ocean, the land itself is named for the ever enduring kingdom that thrives upon it's ancient soil: Halcyon. Once the Capitol City of a long dead nation this land was salvaged by its natives just before the rest of their world crumbled into the mighty sea; While other nations bred gargantuan trees to (unsuccessfully) stabilize the tectonic plates the people of Halcyon instead invested their natural psionic prowess and advanced technology into creating a living life raft out of their homeland itself. For generations this island drifted at the whim of the survivor's government, their people had always been a minority and with so few surviving the event they would later name 'The great Shattering ' the ____ people decided to focus on rebuilding and thriving in the wake of the disaster. Years passed, the island travelled over untold amounts of ocean, and finally a unfamiliar view greeted the eyes of children who had never viewed anything but the fluid movement of water on the horizon: Mountains rose in the distance. Cautious but excited the nation chose to investigate, slowly weaving closer to those peeks that lurked so much closer than the sea ever had. This was the discovery of the _____ coast along the Walledge Mountain Range.
To this day the floating island is a self sufficient paradise for the descendants of those brave and intelligent souls, large swaths of farmland carefully maintain not on the surface but rather in large climate-controlled caverns dotted throughout the island's interior.
Physiology:
Despite appearing similar to the other humanoid species this race is actually sterile and cannot reproduce in a natural manner. How them, one might ask, do they continue to populate? The glory of their inherited and revolutionized technology of course! Initially this nation used a artificial system to galvanize their nearly exhausted genetic pool for healthy offspring but upon the discovery of a new landmass and the sentient creatures upon it the ____ peoples were swift to splice new/compatible genetics from these new species without negatively hybridizing their own genetic heritage.
Society:
Imagine a close knit community where not a single soul is unwanted, unappreciated, or unwelcome. For the ____, who engineer their children from conception to 'birth', there is no concept of disappointment or dissatisfaction regardless of how the individuals in this society behave. Squabbles can certainly break out, some peers may dislike each other entirely, but there is a instinctive drive to protect and aid even the most annoying of their peers in dangerous or hostile situations. Infighting simply does not exist in this species, due to their strong psionic abilities and unique social structure the members of this race are comfortably connected to each other naturally. Empathy isn't a choice, it is a form of communication, and often the ____ do not even need to speak verbally to each other to 'understand ' each other.
