Energy gathering was, at this point, such a boring and tedious thing. He'd done this for so many years it was almost sad to think about, than again he's also been involved in this war for so many years. He was certain this war, and all that he'd done for it, had warped him and shaped who he was. Without it he would likely be someone entierly different. If the war were to end, no matter which side own, he was certain that if he lived he'd likely need to figure out how to survive without fighting...how to cope without certain things and certain amounts of violence in his life. It would be difficult of that he was certain. It was something he pondered every so often, much like now, when he was gathering energy and leaving bodies slumped over in various parts of the city.

He was trying to keep from being found tonight, not interested in dealing with senshi or knights, as he teleported himself abotu the city or wandered for a while between each person he grabbed energy from.

This time he'd walked for nearly twenty minuets before finding his next victim and yanking them out of sight and behind a tall, large, tree that was growing up out of the sidewalk as this part of the city had trees dotting the length of the sidewalk and giving a nice amount of shade and coverage to the area. This neighborhood was similar to his own but across the city from his home. It was a fairly posh neighborhood with trees and small gated parks that were little more than a playground and bit of grass. It was a nice area, one he might even have considered living in, but tonight it was his territory and he was holding the male in his arms with them yanked down to his level as he gathered a sphere of energy from them.

Hyperborea felt the General approaching from some distance away, her Crown of Stars giving her ample warning of the Officer. She observed his movements as he went to steal energy from some poor guy who was out too late. She decided to make her move from a rooftop about 20 ft from the General. She gathered starlight to her staff forming a ball of it that she sent flying at the General like a shooting star.

"Now now General don't you think you should be picking on someone more your size." She yelled out to the man she had just attacked as she hopped down from the roof to the street bellow.

As she made her way towards the General she noticed she towered over the blonde man. "Well size might be the wrong word." She said covering her mouth as a cheeky grin spread across the young woman's face. "Now if you don't want a beating I suggest you let that man go." She demanded with confidence pointing her staff at the Officer's chest.

He'd sensed the signature but had, for now, paid it little mind. If they wanted a fight, which he figured they would, he'd deal with them. He had been busy gathering what energy he could from the poor civilians in his hold but that had been interupted, somehow he wasn't at all surprised, some people simply lacked manners.

Letting the man drop, he might have normally been more careful with the person and their descent to the pavement below, but he'd been busy avoiding the magical attack sent his way.

"Yes, of course go for the easy thing and mention size. How utterly unoriginal." Rolling his eyes he summoned his own weapon. While he might be small his weapon was not, it was taller than he was, and was likely of similar size to the knights weapon. The big difference was that his weapon was bladed, though not as much as he wished. "If I want a beating? You do assume far too much. Assuming you'll deliver me a beating...a knight versus a general...we're equal and yet you think I should just flee?" Laughing he shook his head at her, right before he took a swing at her with his weapon.

"Not likely. Someone should teach you some manners after all." And that would have to be himself; of course.

She shrugged her shoulders. "Sorry you're right I should overlook something as insignificant as a height difference." She said emphasizing her words to make it clear she was still mocking the man. Under normal circumstances she would not mock a person for an immutable quality like height but this was a General, someone didn't get to the position he was in without hurting alot of people, so she didn't mind taking a cheap shot. "I'm Hyperborea, Transcended Knight of the Cosmos." She said performing a mocking bow.

She didn't really expect him to stand down, for a lower ranked officer she might have been able to scare them away but a General was more or less her equal and was unlikely to run but she at least had to give him the chance to avoid a fight. It was clear though the General was not interested peace as he summoned his own weapon. It was an impressive bladed staff but she was used to fighting polearms.

He swung at her, she raised her own weapon to block the attack. "Many General before you have tried, and yet I'm still here." She challenged as thrust her staff at the man's gut.

Raising a brow at her he nodded once to her, how unimpressed he seemed by her name. "Congradulations, a walking talking glow stick." Oh how unimpressed he sounded, it was utterly boring and annoying really. "Now that you've gone and intruduced yourself, something I have no care for, are you going to either leave or do something more than giving a utterly abysmal bow?" Which should have been a curtsy but he didn't correct her, as he really didn't care much.

He might have said something else, might have just taken a nother swing for her as well, but he was busy being struck in the stomach by her staff. Grunting, as air rushed out of him, the blond doubled over as he used his staff to keep himself up right. When he did right himself he swung at her, aiming right for her face, with the bottom of his staff. The bottom end was more than just fancy looking - it was solid and heavy. It had to counter the weight of the front end after all.

"I'll just have to be the General who does the job correctly then." He'd be brusied for certain by the time he got home, he'd put something on it to deal with the bruising, but at least he wouldn't need to hide it from someone like he did in the past. Mason would at least understand and he wouldn't need to lie about anyh injuries he aquired here.

"I figured you at least deserved the name of the woman who's about to kick your a**." She boasted, though in all honestly she knew this wasn't going to be an easy fight. She was confident in her skills and strength but this man was at least her equal, or at least close to when considering her strength enhancing earring, and his experience in battle was an unknown variable.

As he recovered from her hit he swung the back of his staff at her face. She couldn't dodge fast enough to avoid being smacked across the jaw. She felt the vibration of pain echo across her teeth and bones. She was pretty sure she had bitten her cheek from the impact. That was going to smart for a few days for sure. "You do hit hard." She said moving her now sore jaw. "But..."

Her eyes snapped back at the General as she quickly recovered her stance summoning starlight to the tip of her staff again. She flung the ball of starlight at the man as she twisted her body. "You'll be just one more General who wither and flees from my Starlight." She growled, moving forward to swing her staff at the man's head.

Forgotten Spell
Hyperborea draws in and concentrates star light into a baseball sized star that appears above her staff. When she swings her staff down, the ball shoots towards her enemies like a falling star and explodes in a blast of force, heat and intense light that causes mild to moderate pain upon impact. At a player’s discretion, they may choose to take more intense or longer lasting injuries upon impact.

"You expected me to go easy on you?" He questioned, his voice mocking, as he scoffed and gave his weapon a spin in his hands. He'd never learned how to fight like some did, in a more professional manner, but he'd learned over the years what worked and didn't and how to move his body to do as he wanted it to do. He knew he could hold his own despite his size, though he saw his smaller size as a help of sorts, and didn't let her larger size bother him in the slightest.

She was, as far as he was concerned, equal in power and not some threat to him because she towered over him. Almost everyone towered over him...so what? His weapon could, and would, still reach them and do a good job stabbing them in the face.

Withers and flees oh how he wanted to laugh at that; he wasn't the sort to flee. Fleeing was for those who shouldn't be on a battle field; those who couldn't be trusted. Benitoite wasn't the sort to turn away from a fight, sometimes having it lead to avoidable injuries, and right now was sort ofd one of those times. It wasn't a time when he should have fled but that magic she used on him hurt like hell where it hit his arm with a good deal of force. His weapon was dropped, his fingers twitching against his will, as pain shot through his arm. It wasn't just pain but a lot of heat as well, like he'd taken a curling iron to his arm.

"s**t." Cursing as he banished his weapon, so she couldn't grab hold of it, he took time to rub and massage his arm, fingers grasping at thin air, as he worked the pain away even as it hurt to do so. Spots still danced in his vision, spots of black, as he blinked his eyes several times. One down side to pale colored eyes - light sensitivity. "You'll pay for that." In blood.

Swinging with a hand, the back of his hand, the blond made to hit her right across the face even if he did have to reach up in order to do so. "Because I don't run." But it did hurt - a lot. He yelped and pulled his hand back as soon as he'd slapped her. That had perhaps been the worst thing to do all things considered but was determined to work through it and make her pay. He still felt warm, too warm, on his arm and it still hrut like a shock went through him, from where that ball of light had hit, when he jostled his arm too much.

Hyperborea laughed "Oh yes Monsieur General, I thought you'd go easy on little old moi!" She said sarcastically, the very notion was ridiculous as if she expected or wished for anything less than this man's best. She'd not survived this long in the war by expecting the good will of her opponents.

She smiled as her magic exploded in a burning burst of cosmic heat. She still had the energy to tap into that spell one more time and she hadn't accessed her core magical reserves. She had a number of more tricks in her bag for this General, she just had to hope he wasn't holding back any abilities of his own.

He dispelled his weapon and moved to engage her in hand to hand. 'Bad move General' She thought, her best fighting style was hand to hand. As his hand came into contact with her mouth she felt a sting in her face but he clearly got the worst of the exchange likely a combination of his earlier injury from her magic and her own enhanced durability thanks to her magical earring. She dispelled her own weapon instead choosing to activate her aspect with a flick of her thumb across her signet ring she was enveloped with a silvery sheen of starlight. "We'll see about that! Tell me General have you ever fought a Cosmos knight before, do you know what our aspect does?" She asked rhetorically as she moved to close the distance between them. She moved to grab his arm to judo throw him over her shoulder. If he wanted to grapple with her she'd be more than happy to oblige.

Aspect of the Cosmos
The silvery sheen of starlight covers the Knights of the Cosmos, and their touch is just as heavenly. It's warm and pleasant to most, but acidic and painful to corrupted beings. For the followers of Chaos, physical contact with one of these Knights feels like a mild chemical burn: although it does nothing in the way of actual damage, it's hard to tolerate it and the effects can last for a few seconds after contact.

"A cosmos knight, I'm certain I've fought at least one knight for each planet." Though perhaps not anymore as there were new royals and he was certain they all had knights, or theyhh would have knights. It would take time but he'd wind up engaging with one for each of those royals as well. He had no doubt about that. At her question about an aspect he almost admitted to being clueless, he didn't know what an aspect was. he knew they had 'weapons' which weren't much at all. They had some magic as well, nothing like senshi though. So what was this new thing she was speaking about?

She did however seem to shimmer, or sparkle perhaps, it was annoying to look at honestly. Why did senshi, and knights, always seem to be all gliltter, rainbow, and sparkles. It was beyhond him and it was disturbing. While he might weas a bit distracted, more so than he should have been, the blond found himself being thrown and landing on his back on the ground. Cursing he kicked up and out toward the senshi as best he could from his place laying on the ground. ******** if his back wasn't throbbing, and he was bound to be bruised soon enough, he'd explain it to Mason for certain. But for now he had a knight to deal with.

Not only did he kick out at her but he summoned his weapon, to help himself up onto his feet. As he stood he swung out with his staff once he was stable on his own two feet.

Hyperborea smirked as she watched the General slam into the ground, she was certain that had to hurt. She moved to grab hold of him to put him in a choke hold and allow her aspect to burn him until he passed out. However before she could grab ahold of him he kick her knee sending her down on leg. She bit her lip against the pain as she moved back onto her feet however before she could move in to get closer again the General was moving.

The General lashed out with his weapon slashing through her armor like a hot knife through butter. Unfortunately her armor was made of pure gold so it offered basically no protection against the weapons of the Negaverse. She held her now bleeding side as she sucked in air to keep from letting out a howl of pain.

"Merde! I guess that's what I get for playing around." She cursed as she tried to apply pressure to stem her blood loss. "I don't think I can keep going much longer with a wound like this." She huffed. "But before I take care of it lets just see about that whole running thing." She said deactivating her aspect and summoning her staff. The head of her staff glowed a bright silver as she raised it in the air unleashing a burning torrent of starlight on the area.

Knight Spell
She holds up her staff as the head glows silver. It creates a bright explosion of silver starlight with Hyperborea at the center. It blinds and disorientates everyone else caught in the blast with their eyes open. It causes a great burning pain in her enemies and can at player discretion leave a sunburn like wound on people.

Smirking at the knight, smug in showing her just what sort of buisness he meant, the General couldn't help but watch her try and slow the bleeding. "Useless, you shouldn't have picked a fight with me knight." He had no problem in killing, especially a knight. She was a knight...the highest ranking, aside from a royal knight, and in a big battle she'd be one to watch for. better he take her out now rather than her take out some Lieutenant in abig battle and cause issues.

Before he could get closer, before he could strike her again with his weapon, she was summoning her own staff and unleashing her own magic on him. "Again..." He started to say, to sigh, before he was turning his head away as fast as possible before that ******** light! Maybe not everyone knew but blue eyes were more light sensitive than darker eyes and his were blue and that light ******** hurt! It had his eyes tearing up even as he saw spots dancing in his vision and things seeming darker - sun blindness. It was like after staring at the sun reflecting off snow too long. It was similar and it left him blinking and trying to cast away the darkness to his vision.

With no luck to be found, why in the hell did she had such magic, he took a few stumbling steps away from her. He couldn't see the ground as well as he'd like to, everything was a lot darker than it should be, and he nearly tripped on something.

"You best run now little knight, before I can see you properly and put an end to you." If she was smart she would run, it was likely what she'd do.

Aurelius0815
He'll notice any sunburns, likely face and back of neck, after she's gone. Cause damn his eyes.

She smirked as she watched the General stumble away blind and in pain from her magic. It amazed her the General in such a state could still try to talk big even as he nearly tripped onto his face. She wanted to make one final point while he was still blind and couldn't put up a proper fight. She walked over to the blind man wincing as her wound bleed staining her white dress. She placed her staff over his shoulder pulling back enough to just touch the crystaline wings to his throat. "I'll go but I want you to remember this 'little' general, today you were blind and helpless just like the civilians you terrorize. I'll let you walk away, I hope you remember that next time you decide to attack someone who can't fight back." She dispelled her staff and walked away reciting her knight's oath to take her to her wonder, there she could receive healing from Cerynitis and replenish the energy she had spent.
