Before the start of her classes, Kaia decided to hang out with some of the horses housed in the stables here at Enchant U. While there were some normal horses, there were also some that had an element affinity. Being the golem fiend that she was, she wanted to study some of these guys for her own educational purposes. She walked into the stables, leaving Hamish outside since she knew how easy these creatures spooked from seeing a predator. She figured it would be best to not startle them into a raging stampede. Going down the long line of horses, Kaia gave each one a little treat just to get on their good side. One horse that an affinity for fire, however, wasn't too keen on accepting it. Instead, he snorted at the offering and simply turned his back side to her. "Oh, c'mon now. Don't be like that, ya big baby." She teased as she hoped into his stall. From her memory, he was always pretty grouchy, but she found a way to get him warmed up to her soon enough.

As he grew more comfortable with her presence, the horse began allowing her to study him a bit more closely. She ran her hand over his shoulders to feel the soft hair, but wasn't going to get too close to his mane since it mostly consisted of hot flames. She got burned before, and didn't wanna get burned again. She then bent down to get a good look at his hooves. "Man, you're taken pretty good care of, huh? Got some fresh new horseshoes I see~"

It was a quiet day for Tabi. No student had picked his class yet so far, so that left the teacher with a lot of free time. Not that he minded, he pretty much taught at this school as a hobby. To him the important part was that he passed on his knowledge to the students that more people might enjoy the companionship a horse could provide. They were more than mere beast of burden or transportation. They were life-long companions that you could share many emotions with. Some of the horses were literally life-long companions. There were some immortal horses, like the black, skinny ones in the back. They were often affiliated with death and thought badly about, but in truth they were the gentlest equines you could wish for! It was stuff like that what Tabi wished to teach people. Though that did require a class to teach… Tabi sighed a bit but smiled gently as he petted his personal horse, Torrent. He was large with blue fur and his mane looked like strains of a thin veil of the finest silk, but in truth it was bonded water. This one had been with him for a very long time already and would probably live on even longer.

They got along well, which showed. But it wasn’t too odd when you considered the fact they were both Water elementals. When he heard movement and sound however, the water elementalist looked up from Torrent and with a gentle pet on their neck he walked out of their stable. He didn’t expect any students, so he was curious who this could be. The stables were open ground though, as long as they treated the horses with respect. It didn’t take long before he found the Golem Science teacher not far from him in one of the stables. It was quite incredible, the fire horse was a tough one to win over. Though of course it had been tough for Tabi either way, they weren’t exactly an elemental match. But the horse trusted him now. He smiled when he heard the woman speak to the horses and then compliment his shoes. "That is because he has been handled by the best smith available. Hello Kaia." he spoke after watching them for a moment and smiled at her. She was a welcome sight, Tabi never had to worry about her treating the horses wrong. And that was a very important trait to the Equine Studies teacher.

As she was further examining the fire horse, the sudden male voice caught her off guard. The professor jumped slightly before looking behind her seeing a familiar face. "Oh, hey Tabi! How's it goin'? Excited for the new semester?" Kaia greeted as she exited out of the single stable. She was trying to do better at remembering the other teachers' names. Luckily for her, since the Equine Studies class was somewhat dealing with golems, it was easier for her to remember Tabi. Before she could even continue the conversation, she felt a slight tug on her long hair. The fiery stallion was trying to grab her attention to get another treat from her. At least nibbling on her hair was a lot better than setting it ablaze! "Hey, hey, hey! No eating the hair!" The woman scolded as she pulled out an apple from her bag. "Here, eat this instead." It took him a little while, but the fire horse eventually accepted the apple and released Kaia's lavender locks.

Tabi smiled at her the moment she turned around. It hadn’t been his intention to startle the poor woman. "I’m sorry I startled you, it was not my intention. I’m doing well Kaia, thanks. Yourself? I am looking forward to this semester, though it doesn’t look like I have many students this time. I’ll see if I can’t keep my class open for enrollment throughout the year this time. I’ll have to ask." he replied to her as she walked out of the stable. Before they could keep talking though, they were interrupted by the fire horse. The man couldn’t help but chuckle a little as he saw it. "You seem to get along well. It took me a lot longer. Though I should probably not be surprised. Our elements don’t exactly line up after all." he said calmly and shrugged. It was alright. They got along now, even if it wasn’t as close as Storm and him. It was enough for class and this one wasn’t exactly meant for students anyway. He was too wild. They were here more for their element and appearance as part of the class about breeds and types. Thinking of that though actually got Tabi thinking.

"Hm." he said as he looked thoughtful for a moment looking at the horse. It was pretty tough for him to ride that one, they just didn’t work well together. Despite all of Tabi’s knowledge and experience. "How would you like to take him for a ride sometime?" he asked Kaia. It was a prod in the dark of course, he wasn’t even sure if Kaia knew how to ride or even wanted to. But it never hurt to ask. And perhaps the fire horse would also feel more comfortable not having a water aspected rider. Tabi held out his hand to the horse when they finished the apple, but although they sniffed it and didn’t outright dismiss the teacher, they turned around rather quickly. "To be expected. Even after all these years." Tabi said. Of course he wish he could just get along with all the horses, but he smiled nonetheless. It wasn’t a disaster after all and all his horses were treated equally well.
