The air was cool still but it would not last long as summer had finally heated up the woods and made itself known to all the creatures. Though it was still not even close to as hot as the Barrens, one could still work up a sweat in the garden. Furry Tail ducked out of the den as quite as...well a rabbit and made his way out the garden. It was time he could feel it in his bones and he needed to find just the right plant.
Searching through all the veggies and fruits that both Adahy and Furry Tail had started from see to fully grown, Furry Tail wanted to pick just the right ones for the bonding ceremony. He was ready to be bonded to Adahy and not only in words. Furry Tail had been saved by Adahy which had bonded them in ways that only few familiars could understand. But Adahy had made it clear to Furry Tail that just because he had saved him that was no reason to jump into a life bond. "If when you are older you still want a life bond then we can talk." Adahy had said once to Furry. This had give Furry's young mind pause. Not because did not thing Adahy wanted to but more because of the real importance Adahy had put on the life bond.
The time had passed and in that time Furry only grow to love and respect Adahy more and more. This is how he knew it was time. Find just the right two carrots Furry Tail carefully dug up a beautiful orange healthy carrot and a dark vibrate purple carrot. More then happy with his choice Furry Tail took them back to the den.
-----
Adahy had woken to an empty den. It was strange but Furry Tail was full grown and worry that might have sprung up in the begin was less so now. Standing up and stretch he looked to the mouth of the den just as Furry Tail hopped back in. "Good morning son." he said with a smile at the jack hop.
Furry Tail set the carrots down before him and Adahy. "Good morning Da." He returned the smile. "I see you have some carrots have you brought breakfast for use." Adahy had a feeling this had nothing to do with breakfast but it was important to Adahy that the still young to him jack hop say the words.
Furry Tail looked down a little embarrassed at first but then looked Adahy in the eyes with confidence. "No Da I want to life bond with you. I remember you telling me to think about the importance of a life bond and I have. You have been more then just the buck noul that saved a kit buck all those months ago. I have watched, lessoned, and learned form you and now it is time well are bonded." Furry Tail finished his speech still looking at Adahy. Adahy looked back at the jack hop in front of him and pride for Furry Tail filled his heart. "Yes I believe it is time." He said with a large smile and a nod. Furry Tail smile back at his father figure, equally proud of himself.
Packing up the carrots they leave the den. Furry Tail takes his very comfy spot on Adahy's back as they wake through the home woods. Brightheart’s Grove was a peaceful place filled with love and hope. As Adahy neared Brightheart he new this would be a wonderful experience. "We are heading off to do our bonding quest." Furry Tail tells the doe noul as the walk pass her. She simply smiles at them. Find a place off the beaten path, Furry Tail hops down and strats the fire while Adahy lays down. Once the fire is going Furry lays across the fire from Adahy with his orange carrot and Adahy has his purple carrot. "Ok you ready." Furry asks and Adahy nods yes. "Ok throw your carrot in the fire on three. One...Two...Three." The both toss their veggie in the fire.
It takes some time but soon the fire burns the plant and causes smoke to billow and swirl around them. Breathing it in and out the both close their eye as they begin the quest to being bonded.

You find yourselves trapped on opposite sides of a massive canyon that seems to stretch for miles in either direction. How do you find your way back to one another?
The smell of sweet carrot smoke clears and Adahy opens his eye. The land around him as changed to dry and dusty train. The air is hot and leaves his month feeling like sand paper. Look around Adahy begins to worry "Furry...Furry where are you?" he stands and does a complete circle looking for his charge. "Furry come out." But Adahy can see that there is no place for Furry to hide.
In front of him is a wide and long canyon. Looking across Adahy spots a familiar shade of a small figure. "It has to be him." Adahy says but it is hard to really tell. "FURRY TAIL!!??!!" Adahy called across the canyon hoping the wind will care his voice to the small furry familiar.
Furry tail came awake to the sound of an echoing voice that sound familiar to him but it was hard to tell. Opening his eyes he find himself on the edge of a cay dirty canyon. "What the heck?" he says as he jumps back form the edge. "How did we get here?" he asked Adahy but there was no answer. Looking back and forth he did not see his father figure. "FFFFUUURRRRYYYY TAAAAIIILLLLL!" A voice in carried on the wind to his ears. Looking across the way he can see Adahy on the other side of the canyon. "Oh no." he thinks with worry. "How are we going to get across this and back together?" he questions but he can see that Adahy has come up with a plain already.
Adahy started walking to the west after watch the water in the canyon below he could see that is ran east. His hope was to follow the opening way form the follow and try and find an Others bridge or fallen tree or maybe just maybe the water would go underground and the canyon would come together. As he walk west he hoped that Furry Tail would understand and start following. Of course the young jack hop did understand and follow Adahy form the other side.
Walking for what seemed like hours and hours, Adahy's hope for finding a crossing was starting to look impossible. Just when he was about to turn around and see if there was something the other way, something shiny caught his eye in the near distance. He had only ever seen that type of shine once before. In the Barrens there was an Other's crossing over a canyon; this was the hope he was looking form. Running to the stretcher with hope and excitement, Adahy made it to the crossing. Looking around he could see that Furry Tail was there on the other side as well.
Form the bottom of the cross Adahy could see that the bridge was still slightly open and with no key or way to make the bridge close for a safe crossing there was only on sure way across. To Jump. coming to the edge of the bridge Adahy knew this jump was a little wider then he had ever jumped before it would be a stretch. "Can you make it Da." Furry Tail called form his end of the bridge. "Its going to be a hard jump but i have to try." Furry nodded his understanding. He felt pretty helpless since there was no way he could make that jump and they was no real way for him to help Adahy make the jump. He would just have to set and watch his adopted father make the jump to get them back together. The alternative was more then either cared to think other.
With ever measure of energy Adahy had in him he ran up the bridge and leaped into the air with all his might. It felt like he was flying to a little but more importantly he was getting back to the most important thing in his life; Furry Tail. A guest of wind picked out and pushed Adahy forward as if to help him make the distances. With a crashing tumble Adahy landed on the other side. Furry ran over to check on Adahy who lay in a heap. Tears rolling down his face, Furry Tail said "You made it are you ok?" Adahy nodded, far to emotional to respond. They were back together and that was all that really mattered.
