▶ CHEERFUL — Constant is a very chipper man, with a can-do attitude no less. He's the guy who knows how to take things with stride, and enjoys some fun parties a lot. He can come accross as a little bit dramatic, which lead to people never taking him seriously or worse, being taken as a "fool". On the bright side, Constant doesn't really care whether he was being seen as a fool or not, all it matters if him and his buddies are enjoying their time.
▶ RESPECTFUL — For someone who has flunked on Etiquette class and with lack of respect for Social Formalities, Constant is still a very respectful and well-mannered person to strangers, as long as you don't provoke him. For him, the whole etiquette just boils down to as simple as "don't be an a*****e nor a bootlicker" and left it at that. Constant hears gossip but didn't spread it around, he stays in his lane, and he can be a very good friend to you. Though that's really not to say that he's a very immaculate man. Not in the slightest.
▶ SMART — He cannot guarantee that he's the genius, but he can admit that his wits and smarts are what keeps him up. Well, how else was he gonna get away with things scot-free? Constant was a wild card runt in Beauxbatons, he's just good at giving people the image they want to see from him because Constant sure doesn't mind making a fool out of them while not being cocky about it. Other than that, Constant is a very knowledgable person and could have been one of the most generous people in the Wizarding Society... if his morals weren't in the color blue and orange.
▶ LOYAL — People like to describe him as someone who would leave you in the ditch, but really it's probably because it was mistreatment-induced revenge. Despite his background, Constant can and will be loyal to a friend, if you were able to stick with him as much as he stuck his life with you. If not, and you actually went as far to reach his breakpoint, he will make sure that he was never stuck with you... instead, you will be stuck with HIM. Well sure, he can forgive, but you know, it's still good to not push him too far. On a good note, he would be with you with your idiocy and shady s**t, just good old bonding and watching backs.
▶ APATHETIC — Yes, he is cheerful and respectful man, but that's not to say that he deeply cares about what strangers felt. Constant is the type to mind his own business and is the type to shrug off about things people would find concern about. Or horror. Take your pick. He, combining this with his cheerful can-do attitude, would make him find fun in non-mundane yet questionable acts out of curiosity. But he still can be tired of constantly getting told off, so there's a reason why he might have moved to England for that matter. Needless to say, he has a bit of a blue-and-orange morality. But, he might listen to some buddies that he trusts, and would do it for their sake. Constant's loyalty is probably the only way to set his apathy beside when it comes to his friends.
▶ REBELLIOUS — Constant is pretty much of a loose cannon, maybe a bit unhinged for some people. And he likes doing things just because, though he won't go as far as exposing himself of his crimes to people. While he may have upheld some rules, Constant still has a lack of respect for "Orderly Rules". He just wants his life to be less social-climbing and less chummy, but he's still not a rebel fighting for a good cause. He doesn't like people telling him what to do, and he sure doesn't like people telling him that it's "for his own good". But of course, he may take a few exceptions, just don't be a self-righteous prude about it.

▶ CHILDHOOD — Constant Hugo Van Groot is the oldest child of a rich pureblood father and a half-blood woman caught in the betrothal from her social-climbing family. His father Edward, described as cocky and egocentric, saw Constant as an extension of himself and thus put him into very high expectations to carry a very good name to the Van Groot family. His mother, on the other hand, could no longer take the restrictive treatment and ran away, not even considering to take Constant and Arthur with her because she didn't want to raise a child in the first place. His younger brother, Arthur, wasn't given attention and was sent to be raised by their aunt in Luxembourg, away from all the bickering in the luxurious estate. So, all Constant knew was being taken to lessons about being a good heir, which would lead him to act out in rebellion at such a young age.
Did Constant have the smarts? Yes. Did he also have a gift of magic? Also yes. But did he wish to use these gifts for the good of the prestigious reputation of his family...? No. And that's Constant's goal when he was going to start his boarding school life in Beauxbatons.
▶ SCHOOL LIFE — Constant's school life was described as having one foolish act after another. On one hand, he was recognized for his prowess of magic in his classes and rightfully so. On the other hand, Constant was known for getting into physical fights with "people who needed their noses broken", sometimes he would consider it justified too. As a result, he was considered a "foolish troublemaker", or "a guy known for giving very good spices in the monotonous school-life" to others. He had classes where he had no care for, such as History and Etiquette, much to the dismay of his father. Yet, Constant also can't be disowned when it would mean breaking the old man's ego. Either way, Constant spent his school life with no care about his reputation, and it was true that he may have done it intentionally to spite the old man of the Van Groot family.
▶ POST-GRADUATION — Him graduating was almost sad for him out of nostalgia, but also it was a relief of getting to adulthood. Since his father was still alive (at the time), Constant was then threatened that if he didn't use his "bestowed gifts" for good, he'll be "removed from the family tree" permanently. While Constant would love to get severed from the family and not be a pressurized heir, he sure did not want to live poorly... and from the way his father phrased it? Constant sure didn't want to risk getting killed. And as much as he bickered with his brother Arthur a lot due to their different ideas, Constant sure didn't want him to subject to being the old man's heir. So for once, he decided to play along, taking the position as a Healer to a local wizard hospital in Luxembourg, much to Constant's dismay. First of all, Constant was gifted with healing magic and knowledge of biology but has no interest in being a healer whatsoever. Nor did he actually have the belief to do what a Healer should do, honestly.
Then, cue his father's insistence for Constant to find a wife to secure an heir with, especially with many people in their circle vying and bootlicking for Constant's attention just because he was a Van Groot's heir. This was the last straw for Constant, leading him into finding someone to give them a chance to actually kill his father with a good sum of money from his income. The week after, due to mysterious circumstances, Edward Van Groot was mugged and murdered by an unknown wizard, to which people assumed that it was a very unfortunate accident. After that, due to Constant's emotions running high (not related to grief at all, but people assumed it was) he intentionally did something on a rude patient. While it didn't really kill the patient, it sure did kill Constant's entire career as a Healer and was fired in the job. While people took it as him succumbing to grief, Constant secretly counted it as a win.
As the heir, he inherited the estate. But Constant did not want to live in the same house for the rest of his life, wishing to travel around Europe. So, he gave the title and estate to his brother Arthur, even if he didn't want anything to do with the family feud as he already has a family and home of his own. After that, Constant simply took half of the inheritance and decided to travel around Europe between cheap hotels, before moving to England as a small-time musician and doing crime as a way to celebrate with newfound freedom.
