1. You tripped over a root! Your head smashed into the side of the tree. Ouch!
By now Russet would need to recoup before he ever convinced himself he was worthy of stepping foot back into this glorious nightmare induced joyride. His son had eaten fruit that was pretty much a stomach inducing poison. There was danger lurking pretty much everywhere it seemed. Sneezing in disgust as another sprig of mint lay carefully on his tongue, he began heading back the way they had found themselves there. The small crow had made them a trail when they weren't even paying attention.
This he was thankful for.
Everything seemed to be fine until he saw the most beautiful flowers from where they were walking. It seemed nestled back in further to the woods/ Fox had picked up the crystal but it was rather small. Taking a small risk he didn't announce his intentions. That became quite clear as he headed toward the patch with the dazzling flowers. Headfirst he went downward right into the side of a tree. A yelp followed by a whimper left him dazed with a warm trickle where the sharpness of the crystal bark had stuck through his fur.
The mint was helping his headaches just fine till he fell into bad luck because of a flower. now he felt as Foolish as his son as the demon grasped his skull like a vice grip.
"Ugh...I wasn't expecting that" he groaned clenching his eyes shut.
Hidden Fox saw it play out in slow motion when his father became injured by the vileness of a root he hadn't seen. Swearing to himself how this place was out to get them he sighed. Now that the glowing fruit had left him, his spirits were back up to par. His attention was clearly on his father now jumping hastily to be by his side.
For a moment he quietly chuckled to himself because the last incident he had hurried into left him leaving rainbow puddles to paint the ground. His father had quickly chosen to avoid caution and ended up butting heads with a tree. Yes, it was amusing but it wasn't super funny. Russet clearly was in a bad way to return back to the pack with his seer blood overtaking his rational thoughts.
Now he wished he was a healer more than a scout.
"I can lead us back to the meeting spot thanks to Light in the Storm making a trail", he nodded leaning against his father,
"We need to get going. I haven't a clue what herbs will help dad other than mint".Being a crow, Light in the Storm was thinking far ahead of the duo of wolves. In fact the moment Russet had taken his dance with the tree, the avian was straight onto his idea. Taking flight he glided over the various bushes, briars, etc till he landed beside the brightly colored flowers. Inspecting them each for vibrancy, disease, or just odd things in general. Finding one that was simply perfection he used his beak to saw through the thick stem setting it free. Eyes beaming he noted full well that the glowing essence still was coursing through the taken flower and stem.
Then he returned to Russet and Fox with his head held high,
"Next time just ask me Russet. I had an inkling when you darted after those flowers. My trail should still be easy to follow. I'll keep out for danger along the way". Raising his wings he bowed,
"Shall we be heading back my wolves? ".~Taking a glowing flower from the forest.
