Well, I just wanted to give everyone a place to chat and talk about random things. Hopefully this can help us to keep the guild a little more active so we can attract new people. I'd like newcomers to know that hey we are actually here online.

Sounds fun! Thanks for the welcoming. I saw this in a forum post and decided to join, I haven't really been reading web novels recently but it's hard to when all the ones I get interested in get taken down due to a company buying the license, and then they start selling it from the first volume, so I have to wait forever to even read it. I'm hoping to get back into reading eventually though, and wouldn't mind chatting about things at all either.

Ugh I totally get what you mean about the whole licensing thing. Even though QiDian and Webnovel are annoying websites sometimes, at the very least they are fully legal with author consent so the only worry is about lack of translators rather than the novels getting licensed.
I think there was only one story there that I read that got taken down due to licensing and that was actually after it was complete. It was an original work by a native english author. The people who read the story to the end and advised the author basically read it for free and then a publisher picked it up after that and they removed it from the site along with the author's thanks to everyone that gave them advise. It was pretty cool.

I mean they deserve the money, but I don't think his thanks to everyone deserved to have been taken down.

I think you can still find the entry for the story (with the chapters gone) and the reviews if you know the name of the story. It's on the tip of my tongue but I don't remember. I believe I wrote it down someplace so that I can buy the novel if I see it up for sale. I think the author left a note in the review section if it's still there.
I just hope more good originals would show up and that I could find them and get a chance to read them as the author is writing. It's hard to find something that I like though.

Yeah, I agree, it's very hard to find something I like. Thanks for the suggestions though!
