Light Elves and the Ikana Family

Light Elf Overview
Lem'yuur in their native tongue, but often called Lemurians or Light Elves by other Races. Lemurians hail from Lemuria, a forest with trees taller than the rest and canopies to match. The Canopy is in fact so dense, all light is cut out from underneath. Though there are many villages in Lemuria, there is only one city. The city is nameless. The city is built around a massive tree from long, long ago. It is said that this tree produces the worlds mana. Just like other elven races, the Light Elves are Dexterous and Agile; Light Elves have eyesight like an eagle.

Ikana Clan Overview
Time is long for the Lumeria, too long. It was in this monotony that in their first age their peoples began to specialize, find purpose. The Lumeria categorize themselves into clans, dependent on their area of study. For those who live at a pace many times that of a common man must find a calling. Those focused on the inner-workings of what lay beneath the ground founded themselves as a group. As the dead laid burden to the ground so did the findings of the clan. The elven word for death, Ikanathryl, so did they brand themselves, known as Ikana in common-tongue. Over generations of study, of the earth and of mana, a change occurred in the physiology of its people. The Aisylal, In common it is referred to as the Irongland. The natural minerals in the body formed pockets in the bones, spots where metals are produced just as bone marrow would blood. The metal is as common as any other cell in the body, and manipulated just as such. Aijasos, Ikarium in basic, is the name of this metal. Each of the clan has this innate gland, and as family lines grew so it was inherited. The Ikana dwell in a part of the forest called the Ikana Valley.

Light Elf Longevity
Lumerian anatomy ages at a rate much slower than other mortals. The Lifespan of a Light elf is one hundred years, but their age equivalency is one year for every ten human years. Their Borders are closed to most outsiders, causing them to be less time conscious. Moments to them can be weeks to common folk. Due to this long life span, Light elves spend allot of time in school and training in combat. Light elves rarely leave the confines of the forest, but may if intrigued enough to do so.

Light Elf Agility
Light elves are far beyond double jointed. Boasting both unmatched flexibility and perfect balance, the Light Elves make the best acrobats, and usually have fluid-like acrobatic fighting styles with movements that are both amazing and lethal. Things that would dislocate a human can be done by Lemurians.

Light Elf Technology
For as long as people can remember, Light elves have always been considered primitive. Keeping to themselves in the forest has caused them to grow comfortable with tradition. Most light elves will use only materials found in the forest itself in their daily life. Bows are the most comfortable weapon for the light elves.

Ikana Technology
The Ikana have made a few more scientific breakthroughs than their Lumerian cousins. Due to their work with metallurgy they have been able to forge metal armaments. Though bows are still their most comfortable weapon, Ikana that venture beyond Lumeria's forest find firearms to be just as comfortable. The clan has found themselves to be the chief forgers for all light elves, creating all metal objects that the forest dwellers have.

Ikana Family Genetics
All of the Current Generation Ikana are brothers of Kuro. Because of this fact, only Genetic traits carried in Mamillia and Hakuro can be present in an Ikana. Some traits, labled (R) are rare in the Ikana, but can still be present. Traits labeled (D) are dominant, and always present in an Ikana.

Hakuro Ikana's Genetics:
White Hair, Silver Hair, Long pointed Ears (D), Pale Skin, Cyan Eyes, Neon-Green eyes, Purple Eyes, Orange Eyes, Pink Eyes (R), Naturally Black Fingernails, Naturally Gray/Silver Fingernails

Mamillia Ikana's Genetics:
Black Hair (R), Shark-like teeth (R), Any Realistic-Colored skin, Needle Shaped Pupil (D), No Eyebrows, Orange Eyes, Blue Eyes, Green Eyes, Gray Eyes, Gray Lips, Pointed Fingernails (R)

Ikana Limitations
Ikana find themselves sharing the same weaknesses of normal mortals. Any sort of fatal blow that would kill other elves and humans also prove true to injure those of the Ikana clan. Due to the proximity of their ironglands to their bones they have shown a bone structure more dense than other elves. This sightly effects the weight of their bodies, a weakness that can be overcome by strength training and conditioning. The increased weight makes their bodies sink in water. Ikana are not adept at swimming.

The Ikana clan are limited in the use of magics. It was in the creation of the Ikarium in their bodies that they last their aptitude. The countless magic circuits in the body were weaved into their skeletal bone structure to create the first ironglads. This meant that subsequent generations were born without normal magic circuits. This caused the Ikanathryl to permanently lose their ability to project mana and create spells as they did before. Certain members of the clan have found workarounds for this disability. All uses of mana can only be used in conjuncture with Ikarium as Ikarium comes from the very place in their bodies still housing magic circuits. The Ikana have only showed the aptitude for spells that relate to the manipulation of said metals.

Ikarium can only be drawn out of the body in a quantity equal to the amount of Ikarium already present in the body. The irongland only can create ikarium cells as quickly as the body makes blood, about 2 billion cells per second. Though abundant in the body it is not infinite. Ikarium holds no essential function to the bodies of the Ikana Clan members, exhausting its source means only waiting for more to regenerate.

Limitation Subnote
Due to their ineptitude in magic; Ikana are natural weapon masters. They are able to use any weapon with perfection, given that they've trained in that style. They are excellent close range and long range fighters, with excellent speed and precision. Controlling Ikarium does not require mana, as the efficiency of Ikarium relies heavily on each individual Ikana.

Ikarium Overview
The signature metal of the Ikana family, Pronounced (e-car-re-yum). In the Lumerian tongue it is known as Aijasos. Ikarium naturally takes the form of microscopic metals inside the Ikana's body. While in this state, Ikarium is innate. Ikarium is produced by the bodies ironglands, a spot in each of their bones that shares its space with the bone marrow; Aisylal is the elvish word for irongland. This process occurs as fast as a human makes blood. Innate Ikarium is laced in the bodies mana, giving the nervous system something familiar to grab onto when manipulating it. Just as your heart beats, your lungs breathe, your eyes blink: an unconscious reaction. Ikarium can be drawn out of the body, the metal moving quicker than thought. Its summons is innate, primal. Only thought gives it shape. When the Ikana dies, the metal pockets in their bones disintegrates into a dust, innate Ikarium in their cells worthless.

From a scientific perspective, Ikarium has an unstable oxidation state. This meaning that whenever the metal makes contact with oxygen it undergoes a violent chemical reaction. The reaction that takes placed changes Ikarium into different metals upon touching the air. Ikarium has a ternary memory linked to an Ikana's mana, where as, it may take the form of up to 3 metals in the life of its host. These metals are random to each Ikana; these metals though usually follow the formula of 1 mythological metal and 2 real world metals. This means that once an Ikana has discovered the three different metals it will only be able to form those metals indefinitely. At first the metals that Ikarium produces seem to leave the body randomly, however with practice and learning the chemical structure of said 3 metals, an Ikana can decide which metal emerges at will.

Metals are created by Ikarium leaving the body are still able to be controlled and manipulated. The mana that is embedded in the new metal allow Ikana to reach out and manipulate said metals size and shape; the produced metal can be controlled just like an extension of the creators body. Metals produced in this way develop the same weaknesses as their natural counterparts include: (1) chemical make up, (2) strength and density, and (3) reactivity to name a few.

Pure Ikarium, Vesi Aijasos in Lumerian, is the most rare form of the metal. This version can only be forged through a labor intensive process and can never be produced on a whim. Once an Ikana clan member masters the three metals that their Ikarium produces they are ready to attempt the process of creating Pure Ikarium. Said Ikana would begin by producing all three of their metals followed by manipulating their chemical structure back together to form one metal. Having Ikarium in their bodies, the road map for such a forging is ingrained into their DNA to a point where it is an instinctual process. While forging their metals in this way slight alternations are made to their metals chemical bonds that make the finished product nonreactive; the finished products oxidation state is neutral. The final creation is a nearly unbreakable silver colored alloy. The bonds are so strong, they can withstand even the strongest force, and still retain a perfectly smooth surface. Pure Ikarium is only as strong as the creators focus when making it. The only known metal to be able to stand up to it is another equally or better forged Pure Ikarium. Pure Ikarium is considered an honor if gifted to someone, because of its “rarity” as well as it being their own natural weakness.

Ikarium ironglands and its impact on the body
Aisylal is the elvish word for irongland. The ironglad is housed in the bones of the Ikana in the same place as their bone marrow. Ironglands create and release Ikarium cells, microscopic bits of liquid Ikarium. They can create Ikarium cells equally as proficient as marrow creates blood. Ikarium is swept through the body in the same manner as blood, weaving itself into everything blood would. For example, minor and medium damage wounds are sealed almost instantly when the Ikarium in the blood stream comes in contact with the outside air; the Ikarium transforms into one of its three metals and covers the wound.

Ikarium produced by the irongland is innate and nonreactive while inside the body. This means that there is no boiling/ freezing point or electrical charge that can compromise its chemical make up. Due to the ironglands proximity to the hosts bones there has been the side effect of ikarium being stored in said bones, slightly increasing their durability.
