NSIDER ORIGINS
When Talon became gravely ill and died of sickness, he willed the Ranch to be sought after by his employee, Afox, until Malon grew old enough to inherit the family business. Malon, in the meantime, was sent to Kakariko Village to be raised by the local carpenter, Mutoh. Afox was more commonly referred to as Parayoshi, or PY for short, a nickname that he earned for his famous, but now extinct, breed of flying yoshis. He was originally a foreign breeder from the Mushroom Galaxy, and it is unclear how or why he came to Hyrule. But once he was here, he was hired by Talon as a helping hand on the Lon Lon Ranch. He was nonchalant but an honest man. Shortly afterwards, the Ranch entered into the “golden years.” There was a lot of business and plenty of new faces.
On the first day under his ownership, PY had to run an errand in Hyrule Castle Town. During this time, a teenage koopa named BabyBowser wandered into the seemingly abandoned Ranch and decided to take it upon herself to manage a sudden uproar of customers. BB, short for BabyBowser, stabled many horse brought in by customers. Notably, she purchased back and stabled the famous horse Epona, after the horse had been sold off when Talon died. Overall, in PY’s absence, BB helped get the Ranch going again.
When PY returned, he was annoyed that BB had taken the Ranch into her own hands and wanted BB to leave. But after noticing the positive transformation, PY reconsidered and decided he needed the extra help managing the place. On the spot, he hired BB full time, and together, the two became valued business partners.
Countless customers flocked to the Ranch when it reopened under this new partnership. Among the first of these guests was the animal-loving Spike. Of all the visitors, though, Spike was the only one who decided to stay on board and asked to be hired on as the head veterinarian. PY and BB decided to give him the job, and together, the three built an inn, various shops, and began to organize frequent race tournaments for horses, yoshis, chocobos, and other creatures.
Stumbling into the Ranch the next day was the weary and tattered traveler, Faith. He came tired and in need of much help. Having been the only survivor from a terrible explosion at the Golden Sun Inn, the place of his previous employment, he managed to survive the chaos, but was not homeless and unemployed. The trio helped Faith get back on his feet and hired him as a shopkeep.
One of the most notable and long-running Ranch inside jokes was born when, one day, Faith urgently had to pee and asked Spike where the restroom was. Not knowing the answer, Spike told him to simply use the bush by the barn office. Faith did as he was told, only to find out later from BB that there were in fact restrooms inside the barn office. Since then, few have dared to come near to the bush, and Faith eventually built himself a secret garage beneath it.
Business slowed down, and it was usually only the four who would hang out every day at the Ranch, along with a frequent customer, the Link of the future. It’s still uncertain, however, if this man really was the Hero of Time from the future. Regardless, things began to pick up when Parayoshi invited an old friend of his, Fox, to come to the Ranch. An Italian terminator named Marionator, seemingly appeared out of nowhere and became a regular as well.
Soon other important figures in Ranch history arrived. One day, a mysterious figure soared overhead, casting a shadow over the Ranch. BB, Faith, the Link of the Future, and Marionator were all in trouble. The cuccos had gone mad and were closing in for the kill. Suddenly, a shape-shifter by the name of Archentael, more commonly referred to by his appearance as a Platinum Dragon, swooped in and saved the day. PD came and went several times, taking a certain fascination with the Ranch and decided to devote himself to remain there and defend it. PD possessed the power to shape-shift between man and dragon and was the descendant of Bahamut, the most powerful dragon of all. His first of many notes was left as Faith played a harmonica under a lonely starry sky.
PlatniumDragon4
To whom it may concern,
I am the heir of Bahamut, the King of Good Dragons. As my name is not of the human tongue, and thus of no use to you, you may call me Baherin, a name given to me by the men of the far north over a millenia ago. Seeing how times have changed since the days of old, I seek to be close to humanity and learn from their company.
I also wish to apologize for my consumption of your cuccos. I have been without food since I started on my journey and I could not contain my hunger. It also seemed that they were giving you a bit of trouble, so I didn't think it would hurt if relieved you of about 20 of them. But nontheless, I wish to repay you for the damages I have caused, and so I arrive at a proposition.
It has come to my attention that you may have need of hired help. In return for services and in payment for the cuccos, I would like to work for this humble establishment. As I am at the moment on my own journey, I cannot fill any of your positions. However, I offer to you my protection, my watchful eye over your stables and my enchantments guarding you from harm. I will return within the next week to discuss the details of this proposition. If I do not return within that time, I have either found my quarry or have been injured and will be in my lair recovering from my wounds. In that case, I shall return as soon as possible. For now I must return to the hunt.
Until I return,
Baherin, Platinum Dragon
PS. - When I return I shall assume the form of man.

For whatever reason, PD later dropped the name Baherin, and adopted Archantael as his permanent name. Regardless, everyone just called him PD.
Cowboy Gamer soon after came to the Ranch and became a huge help. Fox remained a permanent resident as well and wielded a powerful staff as one of the head defenders of the ranch. Although PY had invited him early on, it wasn’t until he settled business elsewhere that he decided to move to the Ranch full time.
Also a woman, who strangely shared common features of the Hero of Time, came to the Ranch. Also named Link, she preferred to be called Lin. The two shared many distinct features: the Hylian ears, the blond hair, green tunic, and she wielded the Master Sword. No one though was ever certain of her true connection to the Hero of Time, but she proved to be a powerful ally in battle, regardless. A ninja named Minaki, better known as TG, which was short for Topgun, found comfort at the ranch and stayed there as a part of the ever growing cast and crew.
The Ranch was turned upside down one day when the King of the Koopas, Bowser, came to the Ranch. He was in pursuit of his daughter, who had been kidnapped by the evil Ganon, and had caught word that she may be at the Ranch. This daughter was BB. He became overjoyed to see her again, but the situation became awkwardly confrontational. The Ranchers were uncertain if they could trust this dragonish brute, especially as a fight slowly began to escalate between him and Marionater. Things cooled down, and they decided to take a gamble on him. Being reunited with his long lost daughter, Bowser decided to remain at the Ranch and was hired on as a carpenter. The Ranchers gave him the nickname MB, for his metal-coated armor that had temporarily transformed him into a metal Bowser.
Others soon to follow were Gamer, Marth, Rilla, and Geno.
However these stories were lost when Nsider Forums was deleted. Currently Ancient Ranch historians are working around the clock to recover these lost documents, and to recover what happened during the early days of the Ranch.
