tab ✎ the ocean - her country is literally an island. whether she's in her family beach house, or driving down to the pier allie can't sleep without the ocean somewhere nearby.

1993-
- born to a lawyer father and an heiress to a shipping company
- allie was named after her great-grandmother
- the seguins moved onto the island when allie was two weeks old
1997-
- her parent's took over the shipping company and bought a house that looked over the beach
1999
- broke her leg in elementary school playing duck duck goose
- spent the summer either in her room or on the beach
- watched the turn of the century with her parents
2000
- her little brother was born and she never has loved anything more than her brother
- her parents started to travel a few months after colin was born

- started throwing herself into studying so that she too could be a doctor.

tab The clinic had finally closed for the day; the last patient seen, the last note written, and the silence of the ticking clock was all that was left. Amelie let out a grateful sigh, not that she didn't enjoy her work, she was just glad that the day was over with. She closed her computer and locked it, all of the medical files had been update with care, making note of every little change that each of her client's had presented with. Mrs. Smith had a lump in her breast, Benny had a sore throat, that girl that slept with a high school boyfriend of hers now had an rash. Even though they lived on such a large island, this clinic was making her get to know everyone.
tab She popped her head in to say goodbye to Harry, but he wasn't in his office. Instead she could here him rumbling around in a room. She leaned against the door frame and lightly tapped on the door with her index finger. "Hey hot stuff; I'll see you on the tarmac? Would hate to see your beautiful hair ruffled in the wind as we fly away." She smiled, "In all seriousness, I need someone to hold my hand during take off; I know you'd be jealous if it was anyone but yourself." She giggled and stuck out her tongue. She turned around and started to leave, "Too-da-loo!"
tab The commute from the office to her beach house was only a few minutes by car, and in all honesty, she could have walked. Today, however, was too important to be tardy, and she opted out for her car. Once she was in the front door she stripped out of her work clothing and danced through the house. She slipped on a summer dress and grabbed her luggage. She picked up her phone and looked at the time. She was cutting it close, but Colin would be coming to pick her up in a few minutes.
tab Amelie walked out and locked her home, saying a silent goodbye as her brother rolled up and locked the door. "Wow, you're on time for once." He sarcastically remarked through the window. Amelie rolled her eyes, threw her stuff in the trunk and got into the passenger seat.
tab The ride to the airport, going through security and the rest just seemed to flow. With luggage taken away by the airport staff, Allie and all of her friends were ushered to the tarmac. They all boarded the flight, all giggles and excited whispers. This was normally the trip of the year; Allie and Harry would relax for once, Colin would photograph any and everything, including their friends. No one would sleep because by the time they rolled into their beds, their parent's would wake them up and the day would start anew.
tab After the relatively boring flight, where Allie simply conversed, everyone was ushered to the limousine's. This was the part of travel she hated most. It was almost like cattle-work. Everyone being told where to go and what to do, but if it got her to the beach, at this point she'd do anything. She crowded into the back seat with Harry; Demi, Ronnie, Juliet, and Troy were busy chatting in the front. She closed the blinds and found herself drifting off.
tab She awoke a few hours later, wrapped lazily under one of his arms. His soft even breaths suggested he was asleep. She craned her neck to see him; his eyes were indeed closed, and her cheeks burned a little. She looked out the front window and saw the resort approaching. Hmm... I guess I should wake him up. She thought. Amelie looked at his hand, draped across her shoulder. She looked to the front, everyone was still chatting or sleeping.
tab Allie took his hand and kissed gingerly, "Harry, we're here!" She lifted his arm and got up, poking him in the cheek. You better wake up, before the kids notice the sleepy lion. She joked, referring to everyone else. Soon the car arrived; everyone filed out, and Allie fixed her dress and her hair. She followed everyone, until she heard some yelling. What could have possibly have happened?

tab Allie followed everyone out of the limos, letting go of Harry's hand and letting him go ahead. It wouldn't be like they'd be able to sleep in the same cabin, Colin was always her roommate. She noticed that every cabin had two letters on it, but didn't really make an effort to read all of the names. She mostly focused to find her own name, or Colin's.
tab She stopped at the last cabin that she looked at the name. Amelie and Harrison. A light pink tinge appeared on her face as she looked up to Harry. ”Who’d you have to bribe to room with me?" He asked, Allie gave him a confused look before grabbing the letter and reading it.
tab Her parents... How could they do this to Harry and her? How could they have had any inkling, other than work and parties and everything else... Well, maybe they hadn't made their affection for each other as quiet as they hoped. Little glaces at the clinic, flirting at parties, bonding over the hatred of medical school. How he'd possessively grab her from behind if someone was flirting, or how she'd death glare any girl that wasn't her friend... Maybe this was destiny. Or her parent's and his parent's dirty work.
tab Before she could ask him he continued; he asked her if she had bribed anyone to become his wife. 'Well, I guess we're equally not at fault.' He then swooped in, lifting her into his arms. She giggled, wrapping her arms around his neck.
tab "Well, Doctor Thorne, I never spill my secrets." She kissed his nose. "It could have been worse for you I guess." She giggled as he placed her on the bed. Her eyes dropped down to his lips. "But in reality, it isn't really fair isn't it. What if you actually fall in love with someone... Or we end up realizing that being married is terrible... I mean I know we've been fooling around but, like... argh... I'm happy and confused and frustrated and I am talking far too much."
