THE ANDROID CRISIS ON STRATOS

As the fourth generation androids developed by Dr. Jessica Chandler are deemed a success, ethical debates spawn the disturbingly “human” emotions displayed by the androids, along with being almost completely indistinguishable from regular humans. Nevertheless, advanced robotics company, the Vita Corp’s CEO, Charlie Reese insists that mass production of service androids has been approved, and orders are already in place for those with the wealth to afford them. In the event that these androids go rogue, android retention agents (or just ARAs for short) have been employed to locate and secure them. Each individual android can be manually reset or rendered inactive by verbal codes. Rumors are spreading, however, of a group looking to liberate androids from service, dubbing the slave service lives inhumane.
