Species name: Mangalors (nick named as space-orcs or even worse “piggies” by other races in common tongue as a form of racial slur)
Language: Mangalorian
Government: The Mangalor’s have a very tribal system. Each planetary system ruled by one main tribe. However these planetary tribes are made up of smaller tribes related to each other. The main planetary tribes are very territorial of each other, and do not take kindly to when rival tribe enters their space without proper tribute. Every planetary tribe is ruled by a council of chiefs or “elders” with one head chief. The head chief’s position can always be challenged through one on one combat, where the defeated is either killed, or submits defeat, whichever happens first.
Culture: They’re very war like race with tribes usually grouped into one of the four categories. Mercenaries, Space Pirates/Raiders, scavengers, and crime lords. Scavenger tribes looked upon with the most disdain, if that’s all they do is scavenge,it’s worth noting almost every tribe scavenges, but only the weakest of the tribes focus solely on such. As they’re a race that reveres strength typically it’s the male that is the chief of each tribe however it’s been to known where some females have over power males and become chiefs of their tribes.
Planet: None know where their home world is as they themselves do not even remember, as they go and inhabit as many planetary systems as possible.
Mating/marriage customs: The chief of each typically gets the choice of mate, and then rest of the tribes men can choose a mate within the tribe.
Technology: As they are mostly scavengers their technology tends to be a decade or two behind that of earth’s, and its colonies. And for their own warships they prefer smaller cruisers for quick hit and run tactics.
Religion: They worship the Mangalor god Krom, whom it is said to be the first Mangalor to walk the soil of their home world and to breed the first warriors.
Appearance/Physical Attributes: They’re 6’2-8’ at their highest tall. They’re more densely muscular than humans and slightly more thick skinned than humans with an accelerated healing rate with some regenerative properties. They just can’t regrow limbs, but are less likely to die of bleeding from limb loss than humans. They have superior smell and hearing, but no where near to the extent of the Suldari and like the Suldari they can see in the dark, but don't need the same light sensitivity goggles as they do, as they can only see as far as humans can, regardless if it's daylight or night time.. They typically have red eyes, with “tusked’ bottom teeth, pointed ears. With various skin hue, from shades of grey, green, or purple. Green and grey being the most common for their race. They also have superior physical strength to humans but again not same extent as the Suldari.
Growth and Education: Most things are either self taught or knowledge passed down by the elders. The exception to this rule are the Crime Lord tribes and Some of the mercenary tribes. The mercenary tribes that have their head chiefs sell their services to a planet’s military are often then taught by the government of the planet. To make them better equipped as soldiers. The Crime Lord Tribes enroll their “high-borns” in to whatever colony they entrenched themselves in school system or public education. To make them better equipped for the world of business and trade. Their life span if allowed to live long enough is 80 years, but on average only 50-60 years given their war like nature, and as such they usually die in battle before they die of age.
Diet: They’re omnivores that prefer meat over vegetation but will eat vegetation if there’s no other alternatives.
Views on other species: They typically see all other races as weaklings to exploit, that they know most already look down upon them like they're "primitives", in spite of the fact that the planetary tribes who rule their own planets are very barbaric and tend to be raiders/space pirates. However as mentioned before depending on the planetary tribe they’ll more than happily work with other races, this is especially the case for the planetary tribes that co-habitat planets with other species. Only exception to this is the Suldari they are the only race they see as their superiors, and rightfully so as they are superior to them in every way, both technologically and physically. But it’s more the physical abilities they fear and respect.
