So, I'm restarting this, and making it a sticky.

With the new arc now available for posting, I want to stress that this thread is here for a purpose.

You are expected to post in the IC, once per week (ideally). However, with post rotations, we understand that this doesn't always happen. This is why there is a post order etherpad, which is kept up by players so that we know when you were eligible to post in your rotation.

Our post policy has been lax before; but due to multiple losses of characters and activity in the last arc, we were put in a tight spot and we struggled to gain momentum again to be able to finish the previous arc.

As stated in the announcement for Thwarted Gift's open, we will be enforcing post expectations. 7 days after you owe a post is a long stretch of time for the thread to go without activity. Just because you have seven days doesn't mean you should wait until last minute to post. We get that lives sometimes get busy. We understand; that's why there's a seven day grace period.

However, if you are not able to make that post, and there is not a post in the this thread giving instructions to either auto, or skip your character... you will receive a warning. My day to be able to sit down and do post counts is Sunday. However; if you become delinquent the following Tuesday, you may receive your warning in the middle of the week... rather than having your writing partners have to wait another five days unnecessarily.

Remember, if the person in front of you is seven days late, it now becomes your turn. If you're in a situation where there are only two of you, please see a mod, or post a leave saying you want to wait. If there is more than two, waiting extra will generally be frowned upon, because it's not just your decision anymore.

Three warnings and your character will be removed from the guild. You will be free to apply with your character again in four weeks from your removal date. While we don't want to be hard asses about this sort of thing, last arc has proven that we must.

This is a hobby; it brings together all sorts of people who love to write. It's a social hobby that requires your cooperation, and for you to honor the commitment you made when joining the guild. When people do not post or communicate that they are going to be gone, it hurts the story overall.

Please make sure to use this so that you don't put the mods in a position where we have to remove you. Thanks!

I'm waiting to post Aurie until after Alex and Lachlan are able to have a meaningful interaction. I dun wanna screw up their development. smile

I will try to get to Aksel sometime this weekend or at the beginning of next week. If you want to skip him, you can. If I don't get him done by the time frame I said, then it is likely I haven't gotten my motivation back or that I will just need to leave the guild entirely. Either outcome, I'll make sure not to leave the rest of you in limbo.

My mother is getting married on saturday, and I have a s**t load of family that will be in town and stuff all weekend, so I doubt I'll be able to post this weekend. So I probably won't be able to post till next week.

This weekend, June 8th to the 10th, I will be unable to post as I am part of a wedding party for my friend. I will work on any posts I owe prior to this in order to avoid issues but should I be late come this Friday please skip me and save everyone the trouble of waiting.

I’ll be taking a month away from here. While I can roll with some punches, my father having a stroke two months ago is becoming a bit tedious on his unwillingness to get back into the groove of things, which is giving me anxiety and only worsens when my mother gets irate at it herself. As a result, writing has been rather difficult to do.
