To help people understand the limits of this world in regard to technology
and the like we will give a few examples below. If you have questions
beyond this, feel free to ask a [Vice Captain] or [ Captain ] for help~

The latest advancements of technology!
Mechanical Beings/Upgrades:
A robot is an electro-mechanical or bio-mechanical device or group of devices that can perform autonomous or preprogrammed tasks. They are not sentient nor playable characters.
An android is a robot made to resemble a living creature, usually both in appearance and behavior. They cannot act beyond their programing and again, should not be used as a sentient/playable character.
A cyborg is a cybernetic organism which adds to or enhances its abilities by using technology. This means a living creature actively applies technology to itself, this is a limited technology at the moment and at best 'upgrades' can appear as metallic replaced limbs. Organs and Brain advancements (aside from the necessary adaptions for their limb-motor controls) are simply beyond the sanctioned procedures due to lack of scientific advancement in the area. This also means 'eyes' are off the table, unless otherwise approved. Keep in mind this society is just now getting back on its feet! They, as a whole, lack the know-how to keep people alive during advanced rebuilding just yet!
A Remnant is a bio-synthetic being born 'normally' and later enhanced through (Alliance-age) science. While still technically not a machine their bodies were injected with a experimental nanotechnology that replicated and replaced/absorbed their original tissues with stronger and admittedly less natural copies that didn't degrade over time. The exact process of this science is believed to have been lost with the Alliance itself, and very few of these beings subjected to it survived the conversion. Ask for this option, as they share a strong link to the backstory and other Remnant characters.

Tools:
Teleportation: the ability to move oneself from one place to the other, only found in the Foot-gates and Jump-gates native to Wythius at the moment.
Cloaking Technology: is a stealth technology that can cause objects, such as spaceships or individuals, to be partially or wholly invisible to parts of the electromagnetic (EM) spectrum. However, over the entire spectrum, a cloaked object scatters more than an uncloaked object so there are other ways to detect the presence of this tool.
Plaxima Hypa - Also known as a Plax*, this medical tool is a hand-held wand with a forked head. Created a few decades ago by none other than a hedge Doctor from the Free Peoples province the item hit the market and became a must-have for medical institutes galaxy-wide. To use, gently place the prongs against a damaged area of flesh and give it a moment to adjust to the species-specific material it is touching. After a brief calculating cycle it will inject a mild shock into the flesh to stun local nerves and stop the sensation of 'feeling' in the damaged area. Once this is done it auto-adjusts to the size and shape of the abrasion/cut/burn/injury and flexes its prongs to hold the wounds closed as a small laser emits to 'seal' the damaged flesh from the inside out. All the medic/user must do is press the tool lightly to their patient, wait a moment, then gently lead the tool along the injury and watch the tool work! In the case of infections or severe internal trauma trained medical attention may be required. Plaxil Productions maintain no liability for misuse of product. Common side effects are as follows: Pain after the nerves reawake from stunning, discomfort, minimal scarring, losing your significant other to the medical officer that treated you, etc...
The outline of Ship technology, and classifications.
Blink Technology- This is also known as 'Hyperspace jumps' and commonly designates one class of technology, where infinite speeds are possible; a ship may jump to hyper space (sub-pocket of space that shifts with the speed of light) thus making travel that would normally take thousands of years possible in (relatively) no time at all. Blink Technology is a taxing system for any ship, the larger the craft the more power they have to utilize it. Ships smaller than a Class 2 are typically shredded with the attempt to use this system unless specifically crafted to withstand the stress of the leap.
Ship Classifications:
Class 1- A small single, or double, seated vehicle crafted specifically to navigate in flight and space travel.
Class 2-
