I haven't posted here in awhile. How are you guys? I am well... though I am always tired. Not much to report here. I do have a dog and a niece. Got into fountain pens. I own one now, and it's a Lamy Safari. It's charcoal in colour and its nib is extra fine.
I may have taken up writing, but I have not really written much... I have to write even when not in the mood and to stop procrastinating.

As far as fountain pens go, I've never used a proper fountain pen, but I do have some experience with nib pens. They're really useful and a good tool to have for varying line thicknesses.

Yeah, I remember when this place was alive. I miss those days. I own two fountain pens... one is very old, and the other one is newer. One thing is for sure, fountain and dip pens are awesome!

I'm doing well! Tired these days - I work seasonally at an accounting firm for tax season in addition to my regular part-time job, so I'm working 50+ hours a week right now.
My daughter is 6 now and we're homeschooling - that's going really well. (I know it sounds weird in juxtaposition to the working - my main job is at night, haha.)
I've gotten involved in the local theater community - did a production of Pirates of Penzance last summer.
Miss you guys!

One thing is for sure, fountain and dip pens are awesome! I miss those days too, frankly. Honestly, I wish I could take all of the old crew (and by that I mean all of the old, active posters) and transport them all to a site that had Gaia's good features, but also competent staff. So far as I can tell, no such place exists, but honestly, I'd probably go back to checking it every day, tending it carefully, and things would be like they were again, maybe... But as far as I can tell, no such place exists. As for nib pens, the college teacher that introduced me to them once told me that when you can draw a circle and even a trained artist can't tell where you started and ended it, you will have mastered the use of nib pens. I hope you find that to be of some use. AGCourtney I'm doing well! Honestly that's the better place to reach me, these days. Pleae let me know and I'll inbox you my details.

I hope you find that to be of some use. Yeah. I enjoyed talking to others and having fun, but it's empty now, and people barely post. In one guild I'm in, there were active role plays, but now, the roleplays don't get posted much. It's like only one person and I are the last two in a post apocalyptic world. Yeah! That's pretty cool! Kind of hard to raw a circle, but that trick does make sense. Have you had practice with them and still use nib pens? AGCourtney I'm doing well! Homeschooling... do you have a homeschool teacher for that, or do you and your partner teach her yourselves? Did you have fun with the production as well?

At the risk of sounding salty, it would be a well-erarned demise, at this point. They have done nothing at all to gain back our trust after monetizing everything and irreversibly destroying the economy.
