Reply: Trevor was rather glad that his assignment for Potions class would take him outside. It was nice to not be stuck indoors writing papers for a change. Now he just needed to try and recall what the three plants looked like so he collected the right ones.
"So Asphodel, dittany and Wiggentree bark." He mused glancing around. "So wiggentree's are magical rowan trees, also known as mountain ash trees. But how do we know if they are magical or not?" He wondered as he walked around the Hogwarts grounds glancing at the trees. "I know they can be used as protection against magical attacks, but are there any identifying features?"
He spied a very red looking tree with red berries and remembered that rowan trees were known for those features. "Wait, magical ones are guarded by bowtruckles." He said and looked around. When he didn't see any coming out to stop him, he moved along checking out other Rowan trees around the grounds. "they are hard to see as well, and only come out when the trees are attacked..or harmed." he said remembering.
"maybe I should try for the other two ingredients," He said with a sigh. He started looking around the ground for the brown colored roundish leaves. It didn't take him long at all before he located some. Recalling their other name, burning bush but not why, he slipped his thick gloves on before picking the plant and stashing it carefully into his bag. Then he moved on to look for the asphodel. He spied the white flowers and the long stem and leaves easily and moved to collect the plant, adding it to his pack.
"Now for the wiggentree bark," He said glancing around. He heard a cry from a few yards away and ran over to see what was going on. Trevor was a bit surprised to see bowtruckles trickling down a tree and attacking a kid. Trevor ran over to help brush the creatures off of him and then darted in to work a piece of bark free and shoved it into his pack. "How'd you get them to attack you?" He asked glancing at the kid.
"I've been going around checking out all the rowan trees with a spell, seeing if any bowtruckles would rush down to protect it. I guess I lucked out on the last one. I did manage to get a piece of bark before they attacked me." The kid said shaking his head. "Did you get a piece?"
"Yeah, I did, I should have thought about using a spell on the tree."
